hmmm.well hindi naman po ako talaga hoping na mababalik ang grub 2 using 9.04...medyo naiintindihan ko naman yung akin lang is baka may alam tayong workaround kung paano mababalik ang grub2 using older version.. at sa kasamaang palad, next to impossible so far ang iniisip ko... nainstall ko using live usb kaso nasira ung usb ko hehe kamalasmalasan lang talaga..pero okay naman na si win7 ko.takbuhan ko lang kasi si ubuntu pag may LQ kami ni windows eh..hehe kasi mga apps ko wala atang counterpart for linux systems...thanks na rin..bibili nalang ako ng usb at gawing live...

Yes sir, impossible po. Here's a really simple and non-technical explanation: nung kapanahunan ng Ubuntu 9.04, hindi pa po naiimbento ang GRUB 2, therefore wala po talaga sa Live USB/CD ng Ubuntu 9.04 ang mga GRUB 2 files.

sir kaka install ko pa lang ng ubuntu 12.04 noong nakaraang araw dito sa msi u135dx netbook ko. Bale po nag dual boot po ako. Isang Windows 7 at syempre Ubuntu 12.04. Ok naman po sya until I install VLC using Ubuntu Software Center. Tuwing gagamitin ko po kasi yung VLC para manood laging corrupted yung videong nag piplay. Ano po kayang solusyon dito? Sana po matulungan nyo po ako.

Try to install extra codecs. Sa Linux kasi, on most Linux Distributions hindi kasama ang mga codecs since some of them are proprietary or hindi open source, so ayaw ng Ubuntu na mag-ship or mag-release ng mga installers nila na kasama ito out-of-the-box.

In terminal, type:

sudo apt-get install ubuntu-restricted-extras

Guys tanong ko lang how to make 3g connection in ubuntu 12.10? I'm Globe Tattoo user pero laging edge ang connection ko unlike sa windows 7 ko is 3g connection ko. I already edit the connection from 2g/edge to 3g pero wala padin anyone can help me?

Depende po sa 3G modem models na gamit mo, kung Huawei devices yan plug-n-play na siya as long na na-config mo ang APN or other info's. If hindi gumana or ma-detect yung 3G modem mo check mo na lang yung guide dito.
