i use this another usb wlan as it is compatible with DSlite for WEP encryption and much cheaper to support AP mode http://www.symbianize.com/showpost.php?p=7759454&postcount=165
TAKE NOTE: You can try other usb wlan from cdr king provided you are sure that it support AP mode (it is different from infrastructure mode and ad hoc mode).

Notes:
Other devices like mobile phones, laptops can also connect to your access point for internet.
Tested on my Wii/DS/pocketpc
Turn OFF your FIREWALL or turn it to minimum protection level.
WINDOWS 7 WORKAROUND
1. install xpmode in the following sequence (after installation, reboot is required)
a. windows xpmode
b. KB958559 (if you are using 64bit, pls find appropriate counterpart)
c. KB977206 (if you are using 64bit, pls find appropriate counterpart)
2. run xp mode, start > windows virtual pc > windows xp mode
3. install wireless lan adapter inside XP mode.
4. plugin your wirless lan adapter, then attach it inside xp mode
5. follow getting started on how to setup access point.
Connectify for Win7(if you are using laptop with built-in wifi, you can share internet using connectify but with encryption WPA2, so sorry if you are going to connect your DS as it is using WEP encryption)
1. install connectify
2. if no available wireless lan, it will show "no wifi device present"
3. Plugin your wireless lan adapter and let win7 load its drivers
4. allow connectify if you have antivirus blocking it
5. setup/configure connectify
6. Enjoy connecting your device
My Nintendo DS wont connect with this type of connection since it can only connect to WEP
encryption but good thing my pocketpc can connect with this.
Please note that only wpa2 is available for encryption. Read from their site for limitations
and FAQs.

Q: What is an Access Point?
A: Your Access Point is a transparent Media Access Control (MAC) bridge that provides access for wireless stations to a wired local area network (LAN). With an Access Point, wireless workstations can be added quickly and easily to an existing wired network.
Q. What is WEP?
A: There are two levels of WEP Encryption - 64 and 128 bit. You may also have heard the number 40-bit used in conjunction with WEP Encryption. 40-bit WEP and 64-bit WEP are two different names for the same encryption method. This level of WEP encryption has been called 40-bit because it uses a 40-bit secret key along with a 24-bit Initialization Vector (40 + 24 = 64). Because there has been no official standardization of these terms, wireless vendors may use either name.
Q: What is Infrastructure Mode?
A: An integrated wireless and wired LAN is called an Infrastructure configuration. Infrastructure is applicable to enterprise scale for wireless access to central database, or wireless application for mobile workers.
Q: What is Ad Hoc Mode?
A: An Ad-Hoc wireless LAN is a group of computers, each with a Wireless LAN adapter, connected as an independent wireless LAN. Ad hoc wireless LANs are applicable at a departmental scale or SOHO operation. They operate on a peer-to-peer basis.
Q. What is the IEEE 802.11 standard?
A: The IEEE 802.11 Wireless LAN standards subcommittee, which is formulating a standard for the industry. The objective is to enable wireless LAN hardware from different manufacturers to communicate.
