Panong ikinabit sir? gumamit ka ba ng enclosure or sa laptop mo sinaksak at nadetect ba ng PC yung HDD ng PS3? Nag-install ka ng update.pup ng walang HDD o binalik mo muna yung HDD sa PS3 tsaka ka nag-install ng update.pup? OFW ba ininstall mo o CFW na agad? Anong nangyari nung nag-install ka ng update.pup? Nawala ba lahat ng laman (trophies, saved files, games etc.)? Hahaha sorry ang dami kasing scenario sa sinabi mo. I was only trying to understand.

Tinanggal ko mismo yung hdd sa ps3.. nainis kasi ako nun dati,. pag nagbubura ko ng games thru mMos, nawawala yung file pero di nadadagdagan yung free space sa hdd., so naisipan ko isaksak sa pc yung HDD ng ps3 without researching about its file format.. (wala naman akong nagawa nung nasa pc na yung hdd, pero meron akong na click na naactivate sya o para lumabas sa drives list sa manage disk sa windows.. so ayun naloko na nung binalik ko sa ps3..)
File corrupted na, so una kong sinubukan irecover sa recovery menu ng ps3., walang ibang gumagana na pagpipilian., so my last resort is to install again is firmware., derecho CFW kung ano yung nakainstall sa ps3 bago mag corrupt.. (rogero 4.30 v2.03 sakin).. ayun fresh lahat.. wala pa kasi ako psn account kaya burado lahat as in parang bagong PS3..
by the way sinubukan ko nga pala iinstall yung OFW ng 3.55 pero di nag succeed.. so tingin ko meron parang internal memory para sa firmware yung ps3 kaya pag nagupdate ka bg ofw,di ka makakapag downgrade.. ayun..

Balitaan mo kami pag nagawa mo na yang plan mong pag-upgrade to 1TB diyan sa PS3 mo.

oo naman sir babalitaan ko kayo dito para may reference din yung ibang nagbabalak mag-upgrade ng storage ng PS3 nila.

Matagal ko na talaga to balak ngayon lang kasi ako nakakuha ng murang HDD eh. Got my bnew WD 1TB Scorpio Blue yesterday at P3100 and still has it's 2years distro warranty. Not bad kasi nasa 4k karamihan ng nakikita ko.

Backup na lang ng trophies ang hinahanap ko ngayon. I was hoping I could find an alternative solution of backing up my trophies without using PSN or any online solution. Dami kasi restricted sites dito sa office kaya limited ang resources ko sa net. I was wondering kung pwede mag-offline backup ng trophies using multiman kasi nababrowse naman sya. Kung hindi ko to mababackup offline baka pabayaan ko na lang mawala ang trophies ko

Actually, napapansin ko rin yan sir, parang hindi masyadong nagfree free up ng space ang storage ng PS3 ko kahit nagbubura ako ng games. Check ko rin ulit sa weekend.

Buti gumana na deretso sa Rogero 4.30 agad ang ininstall mong Firmware kasi based sa nabasa ko kailangan mo muna idowngrade ang firmware mo bago ka magpalit ng HDD then upgrade ka na lang ulit sa Rogero 4.30. see this link

Oo tama may sarili nga palang memory para sa firmware ang PS3 kaya kung ano yung dati mong FW bago ka magpalit ng HDD ay dapat yun pa rin install mo.

To those who are using multiman 04.17.00 and above download nyo na yung latest version (04.18.04) may major fix yan sa pagcopy ng folder. May bug kasi na nagsskip ng pagcocopy ang multiman pag 1-letter lang yung folder name. Check nyo dito Multiman 04.18.04

Yep. Pwede rin naman kahit yung lower versions through xmb or kahit syempre sa recovery (natry ko dati) pero not recommended kasi mas safe pa rin kung downgrade muna. Mas stable na siya sa 4.30v2.03 kaya karamihan through xmb na lang din. Hirap din kasi mag-risk. Ang risk na lang na matitira e biglang nawalan ng kuryente

Wala akong makitang source kung pano mabackup ang trophies thru Multiman. Hindi kasi ako makapagyoutube dito eh. May isa akong nakita pero sabi nung iba may problema pa rin at nag-eerror yung game dahil sa trophy.

How to identify trophy folder of a game:

Go to your game folder and navigate to "[GAMEID]\PS3GAME\TROPDIR\NPWXXXXXX." (Game location) Where XXXXXX is the trophy folder in your PS3 at /dev_hdd0/home/0000001/trophy/XXXXXX (PS3 trophy folder location)

**Note that 0000001 is the user folder. If you have multiple user it might be different

Backup:
1. Use Multiman(newer version) or ftp server(Blackbox or openftp) to access the folders on your PS3
2. Go to /dev_hdd0/home/0000001/

3. Copy the “trophy” folder to external USB (multiman) or to your PC(ftp)

Restore:
1. Turn on your OTHER PS3. Use ftp server or Multiman to copy the trophy data
2. Go to /dev_hdd0/home/[User ID]/trophy . Paste the trophy folder and overwrite it.
3. Turn off the ps3. Turn it back on and got to Recovery Mode.
Note: If you do the normal boot you won’t see the trophies
4. Select Rebuild Database. Ps3 will reboot after the rebuild
You are done with the restore and you should see all the trophies on your new PS3

Delete:
1. Go to \\devhdd0\home\0000001\
2. Identify the trophy folder by following the guide above How to identify trophy folder of a game:
3. Delete the folder that corresponds to the trophy folder that you want to get rid off.
4. When you go to trophies in the XMB you will see trophies not found with unknown icon.
5. Load the game that you deleted the trophies and it would throw an error and the game would erase the trophies.
You won’t see the trophies on the XMB

nagawa ko na ito dati noon nung mag-upgrade rin ako ng HDD nung di ko pa nagagamit yung PSN para mag sync ng trophies. kinopya ko yung 00001 folder sa usb tapos kinopya ko pabalik pagtapos mag-ugrade ng HDD. yung result is yung ibang trophies gumana pero yung iba hindi kagaya nung trophies sa Tales of Graces, hindi tuloy malaro yung game dahil sa trophy error kaya dinelete ko na lang yung trophy nung game na nag-error. ok naman mag sync sa PSN, hindi ka agad mababan kung yun lang ang ginagawa mo pag kinonekt mo sa internet ang PS3 mo.

1. nagupdate ako kanina ng multiman to latest version (3.55 Kmeaw ung version ng ps3 ko) tapos nung andun na sa multiman nagstuck sya dun sa loading screen (ung black smiley). anyone naencounter na to at kung pano to ireresolve?

mga master ask lang, gusto ko sana magupdate from rebug 4.21 to rebug 4.30, kaso lang natatakot ako kc meron rotating blockout d2 samin, mensan ontime pero kadalasan hindi bigla na lang ngbblockout ask ko lang sana kong pwede ko po ba ikabit ung PS3 ko sa UPS(uninterruptible power supply)?? thanks po!

Thanks for answering my query, may mga nabasa kasi ako na ang PS3 HDD ay hindi basta narereformat kasi linux based ang system ng PS3 and if I understand it correctly dun mo lang din pwede magamit ang device or HDD.. I was planning to upgrade from 120GB to 1TB kaso nung nabasa ko nga na pagnareformat ng PS3 ang HDD ay hindi na pwede gamitin sa iba. May mga PSN games kasi ako na malalaki (9GB+) at games like Metal Gear Solid HD Collection, Ezio Trilogy, etc. na hindi ko malaro ngayon dahil I lack the space at hindi ko rin mailagay sa external ko dahil nga FAT32 can only store file that do not exceed the 4GB limit per file and those games has files that has more than the said limit.

About naman sa trophies. I have never logged in to PSN kaya kakapain ko na lang dahil I turned off the network of my device because it my might be accidentally updated by the other users. And if I understood it correctly, pwede maban ang PSN account ko kapag naglogin ako dahil jailbroken ang device ko.

Sorry I think I red too much and some of them are kinda contradicting so I can't help but ask again..

Teka pano maglogin sa PSN ng hindi mag-aupdate automatically ang Firmware ko? Ang alam ko pagnaglogin ka kasi may auto update yun. Pwede ba humingi ng guide kung pano ko magagawa yung sinabi mo ng hindi mag-aupdate ang Firmware ko?

Edit: I think I found a reliable way to successfully backup the trophies thru Multiman without having a problem. I'll just have fingers crossed and hope that it will really work

yes sir pwede po na nka split sia tapuz sa external lng, malalaro mo parin po, pero except lng dun mga game na hindi talaga pede laruin sa external gaya nong MGS:Guns of the Patriots dapat sa internal talaga para malaro, pero kong nka split nman ung file from external copy nio to internal, wala nman po problem, yan den kasi ginagawa ko sa mga games, wala nman problem

kilangan mo lang po eh re-sign ung mga 3.55 FIX mo to 4.21+ FIX para pede malaru ung mga dating PSN games, try nyo tong guide sir Re-signing PKG files for CFW 4.21 and above.only in ps3gameroom or e2 po Tutorial-- Simple way to fix PSN games for 4.21 and making PKG na try kuna ung dalawa same working
