[Latest] Samsung Galaxy S3 Clone (SP8810 S930) - how to root? merun na! check it now!

Re: [Latest] Samsung Galaxy S3 Clone (SP8810 S930) - how to root? merun na! check it

bigay mo model para mahanapan natin...

try mo ung v down + power
kung ayaw naman
v up + home + power yan ung mga nahanap ko

Kung sc6820 or SP6820 yan sundan mo ito

SpreadTrum SP6820

1. Download Z4Root.v1.3.0 and install it on device memory/internal memory (Don't install it on SD Card!!!) and don't open it after install
2. Go to Setting -> Applications -> Development -> then check USB debugging
3. Open & run Z4Root
4. Click Temporary Root option, wait till it done successfully and don't close it after finish
5. After Temporary Root option has done, then click Permanent Root option
6. Wait and see till it's done
7. After Permanent Root has done, your device will reboot it self
8. After reboot has done, you will find Superuser has installed on your device
9. It's really more easy & safe. But if it not successful & Superuser not installed, try to hard reset your device and try to back from first step
10. Please remember, this methods are only just for SpreadTrum SP6820

Re: [Latest] Samsung Galaxy S3 Clone (SP8810 S930) - how to root? merun na! check it

Hi,

I have the same phone specs as the TS, which is (SP8810 S930). I followed all the instructions correctly up to #4

I tried both of these:
Root_v2.1+SPRD_Drivers.7z
Root_v1.2+SPRD_Drivers.7z

I tried uninstalling and re-installing those drivers pero ganun pa rin, yellow marks pa din yung 2.

So i decided to continue on, just to see if gagana,
I did #5 correctly, then when i got to #7 ito na po ang lumabas na window sakin sa root.bat at hindi po sya nagrestart

So i followed instruction #8, which is to start again from #6
Nadedetect na yung device ko ng root.bat pero wala ng commands na lumalabas after i press s. Stucka na lang sya doon.

Help.

EDIT: Uhm... Wait. May extrang instructions pa pala sa TIPS. Try ko po muna.

EDIT 2: I also tried PdaNet for Android.
I installed the drivers, then adjusted the adb_usb.ini to reflect the changes, i got to the point where i've installed the drivers and a window pops up telling me to launch pdanet on my phone and use tether mode. Problem is there is no new icon or anything installed at all.

To TS: Thank you, but please tell me kung sang part po may mali, same lang po ng specs. Anyway, i'm factory resetting the phone just to make sure and then i'll try again and post my results.

Hope to hear some feedback on what i did. Kudos!

kung pareho nga tayo ng specs based sa antutu benchmark, wala dapat masyadong problem sa rooting, kasi tatlong device na po ang naroroot ko gamit yang procedure na yan, minsan nga lang need mo talaga sya ulit-ulitin hanggang sa pumasok yung root command sa system nya....ayon nga sa kasabihan "kapag may tiyaga may nilaga"....i think kelangan muna natin ayusin yung problem mo sa drivers ng phone mo bago tayo pumunta sa root procedure kasi every steps is a must and very important para maging successful ang pagroot mo sa phone....

1st na dapat ko malaman is yung hex code ng driver ng phone mo, go ka sa device manager, select mo yung driver na may "yellow marks" then right click properties > details > sa drop-down menu select hardware ids, ipost mo dito yung infos nya para macheck ko kung pareho nga tayo, kasi wala naman naging problem sa akin ang paginstall ng drivers nya eh, one time ko lang ininstall yung given drivers at nadetect naman agad at nawala agad yung dalawang "yellow marks", sya nga pala anong bit nyang os mo bro, 32 or 64?

Hi,

Yes Window 7 64-bit po ang OS. Please see attached screenshots.

After I failed rooting my device last night, I tried it again this morning. I reset my phone again and plugged it in to the pc.

  • In #1, the pc detected the phone. That brought a smile.
  • Then i installed the drivers again using the V2.1, please check #2. Note the error with Google something, something.
  • I opened the Device manager and they are still YELLOW MARKS. Kamot ulo ulit this was where I finished off last night. Sige tuloy lang, I said to myself.
  • So when I was about to grab a screenshot of my edited adb_usb.ini, I noticed that I made DOUBLE ENTRIES OF THE HEX CODE, :slap: Stupid me. *insert facepalm with incoherent grumbling here*
  • So I promptly deleted then saved the .ini file, making sure I made no other unwanted text insertions.
  • I ran root.bat, see #4, It didn't reboot. So I decided to follow with your advice ala brute force attack till it reboots
  • On my 2nd try, see#5, the phone suddenly rebooted and superuser now appears on my apps.
  • Just to make sure it has root access, I installed root checker as advised, and it says it is.

The phone has successfully been rooted. :yipee::yipee::yipee:

I think future users should take note and check for any double entries in adb_usb.ini when they are constantly failing to root their device. I berated myself for overlooking this part. I then realized that it happened because I was going back and forth with the instructions, thus it opened a small window for overlooking small details like this.

This instance also shows that even if you had drivers with YELLOW MARKS, you can still root your device. I do not know why but I successfully rooted my device even if they are tagged in yellow. Maybe the TS could make something more out of this as to why it followed through despite the problems with the ninoy marks.

Thank you for posting this tut. Salamat. :excited:

Now I have a question, so, rooted na po ang s3 clone ko, what now? Honestly, I did this more out of curiosity than out of need. I don't know what to do past this point. Does this mean, pwede na po ako maginstall/upgrade to jellybean os and how will i do that? :lmao:

Thats Good News!!! i'm happy for you kapatid...ever since you started to read and do all the rooting procedure that i've posted it here, for every mistakes and root failures you always encountered, you just didn't gave up faster and keeps in you the belief that no matter how it could be...you can also root this phone :yipee: and i'm so happy for that...

Go on to the problems you encountered, before you successfully rooted your device, you said that, since you are running on windows 7 64-bit os, i think there is a glitch or bug on the driver installer of 64-bit version (x64), because there is also one guy posted his comment here that when he use and install the given driver for the 64-bit version, because his pc runs also on a windows 7 64-bit, it didn't work also for his pc, but when he try the 32-bit version (x86), it did worked! even his running on a different os-bit version.... :noidea: its weird! :noidea: but it works! so that's an another options to all of us...

About the adb_usb.ini, thanks to your observations on DOUBLE ENTRIES OF THE HEX CODE, it can help others do the procedure carefully, your tiyaga is very worth it...according to your #5 screenshot it seems to be that the ADB.exe starts to work in your system and in the device doing its job....as i see that the adb root and adb remount commands successfully accepted by the device's system, making it to push the root correctly until it finishes...and your device rebooted....and now you have your roots granted....

:thanks: for your wonderful feedback and your precious efforts :salute:

Now I have a question, so, rooted na po ang s3 clone ko, what now? Honestly, I did this more out of curiosity than out of need. I don't know what to do past this point. Does this mean, pwede na po ako maginstall/upgrade to jellybean os and how will i do that?

And now for your questions? i know, even all of us think that this is more out of curiosity than out of need, but this is one of reasons that i want to do in my phone that force me to do this and root my phone is to give ways to my phone's little internal memory capacity so that i can enhance, make it a bigger room to my apps to appreciate its usefulness....and there's a lot, even more you can do on your rooted device....here are examples you can do to your rooted phone:

1. More customizations
2. More enhanced performance
3. Backups your apps and datas, even your current ROM entirely!
4. Internal memory capacity can make it bigger by having extra internal space in the device
5. Try different roms....
6. and many more.....

but always bear in mind that despite of all this advantages there's always a disadvantages....so be careful in handling your rooted device... goodluck bro! :thanks:

Re: [Latest] Samsung Galaxy S3 Clone (SP8810 S930) - how to root? merun na! check it

"iPhone 5 Clone Thunderbird Premium Dual Core"

although, nung binili namin tong IP5 eh nakaroot. - mali naman yung procedure...

nakainstall ang Superuser
pero walang proper root access...

so we used "superoneclick" to unroot the phone and remove the superuser.

then we try this process, changing the ADB values,

Voila, rooted na...:celebrate::celebrate::celebrate::celebrate::celebrate:

Korek!
From what I could see, most of you have driver issues. Technically, all you need is the ADB Composite driver to be able to root it using DooM or some other program that uses ADB.

At the moment, I'm currently focusing on how to make a ROM backup. Customizations and enhancements are relatively easy but it's basically a hit and miss thing. It's very difficult to tweak the phone if missing means bricking it.

There's a bit of irony when it comes to these Spreadtrum phones. They're practically unbrickable yet so easy to brick. Unbrickable beacause they're easy to flash (as long as you haven't burned the board) as long as you don't have any yellow marks on your device manager. The main problem is getting hold of the flash files. These phones have a lot of variations. Unfortunately, flashing requires you to be specific.

For those who have recently bought their phones, I would suggest that you back to the reseller and try to get the original firmware. The rest, try to create one (or at least a backup). And most importantly, don't forget to share. Sharing also serves as your backup.

Firmwares are usually .pac files, if you have a working update.zip, that's better.

Re: [Latest] Samsung Galaxy S3 Clone (SP8810 S930) - how to root? merun na! check it

Not OT but more of an outside link sa mga tulad kong naghahanap ng rom sa mtk6575, gusto kong maiupgrade sa jelly bean.

This is a long-shot but you can also try to root it while the phone is turned off.

There's a lot in Divi - you can even buy this at the side-walk (I saw one while was walking towards the LRT station - I didn't ask how much because I might end up being frustrated). So far, the cheapest one that I saw was in the 88/something Mall. There's a small stall on the ground floor that you wouldn't miss because there's always a lot of people in front of it. they're selling it for 4.5K. I bought mine in the 999 Mall. They have 2 stalls there. They were selling this for 6.5K but I got it for 5K + 700 for the 16G microSD; extra batt is 300. I'll go back there within the week and try to either have it replaced (for the 3rd time) or have it repaired.

Is there some one here knows or find a replacement battery for our unit (S930)? The battery that came along with the unit is named "GETEL" with an ampere-hour rating of 2000mAh....my issues on this unit is the battery itself, "faster draining issue" of the battery, i always charge the unit 2-3 times a day because it drains out quickly even after a full charged, 1-10 mins of usage, it drains 10% quickly....haist!!!...the physical size of the battery is much different from the original samsung galaxy s3 battery...its too big to compare....and the voltage terminal location is also different in the orientation (magkabaliktad sila)....

S3 S930 Cloned GETEL Battery:

@vheryoness

Dalawang version ung binebenta nya, MTK6575 at Spreadtrum processor.

@earl22online

I agree, when in terms of battery madaling malowbat since 1800mAH lang sya at expected ko na rin since dualcore ang processor nya.
