[ADVISE] Help in Assembling/Building/Choosing/Upgrading Your Computer

I started this thread to help everyone wanting a new computer. All you need to do is post the following:

The prices i will be using are those that come from major shops in gilmore and also PCexpress and others... The prices will only reflect that of which on the date of my post.

How to get to Gilmore:
commuting... From EDSA get on the MRT to Cubao and take the other train and get off at Gilmore station. so easy.
driving... Via aurora is the easiest way from EDSA. anyway, just ask na lang cos i dunno where you'll be coming from.

sa tingin ninyo ba kaya ng AMD ATHLON 64 X2 5000+ sumabay sa ATI RADEON HD 5870?

nag research ako tungol sa ganito.. wala ako mahanap ng specific answers puro statistics lamang either on the processor or graphics card...

sir, tanong ko lang.. anung socket ng pentium 4 mo? LGA 775 ba or socket 478 (OBSOLETE)?

nag research ako tungol sa ganito.. wala ako mahanap ng specific answers puro statistics lamang either on the processor or graphics card...

pwede siguro sir kung mgoverclock ka to 3.4~3.6Ghz, pero kung ako, mg AMD Phenom IIX4 ka na lang sir^^ tapos konting overclock lang^^

Overclocking is a tedious task... it can take hours to perfect... T_T

I'm currently running E7300 on Foxconn P35AS-X motherboard at 3.125 Ghz (2.66 Ghz stock) without raising the voltage for the core. Memory is running at about 960mhz (800mhz stock). My graphics card, 9600GT, is overclocked by about 50mhz, and all my temperatures are not going above 50C.

There are a lot of overclocking guides out there. Simple preparations muna bago ka mag overclock:

1. PSU check, make sure your PSU can supply enough power kapag mag overclock ka...
2. Motherboard check, make sure na ung motherboard mo ay meron overclock option, kung di ka sure, post mo ulit dito ung name ng motherboard mo.

after niyan ay ung Processor at Memory na next,

1. Make sure the settings are set to Auto for this test.
2. Overclock the FSB until unstable, up the voltage for the core to about 1.35, or 1.32. Test kung magiging stable.
3. Change fsb:memory ratio to 1:1, (kasi mahit mo ung 400mhz, which means puwede na mag 1:1 ang memory at FSB mo).
4. Kung naka auto ang settings mo, hanapin mo lang ung stable. To check for stability run Prime95 for about an hour or so... longer is better. If your going to go for broke, the best point to stop is around the 23rd hour.

Search google, iba-iba talaga techniques sa pag overclock, iba memory timings ginagalaw, iba voltage at FSB muna, etc.

Boss deil yung cx5500 ok sa photo printing kaht 4R borderles? Ano mas ok T110 o CX5500? Ang mahal ng CX8300 eh

Boss pakipost nga po ng top10 lan games at top10 online games. Yung naka arange ayon sa popularity nya dyan syo. Tnx

CX5500 is ok up to A4 boarderless. 6 colors is also nice.

4 games lang ang nakikita kong nilalaro dito ng majority ng mga tao:

DOTA + Garena
CrossFire
Special Force
Counter Strike

for non-lan games
NBA 2K9
NBA 2k10
NFS (any)
C&C3 and RA3

di ko nanacheck ung iba...

Alam ko na kung san bibili ng printer. Epson TX110 with cis kunin ko. Nakikta ako na kaht cis na eh may waranty pa rin. Printer (1yr labor,3mons parts,1mon printer head) & 1 yr sa cis.

Maganda pa dito eh ibbgay ang orig ink cartridge mo. Sa iba wla na.

5k sya. Mas mahal ng konti sa iba na 4750. Pro ok lng dahl impt ay yung waranty at orig ink cartridge.

Kung with CIS na ok na... basta 6 colors ah... (Dapat naman talaga ibigay nila ung original ink cartridges mo eh).

Madami, especially look at tipidpc. You can get a 2nd hand motherboard with AGP slot (swerte pag PCI-E) for less than 2k.

Anu ba processor mo? Athlon x2 5000+? Kung oo at gusto mo saksakan ng 5870, bottle neck ka sa processor mo. Need mo ioverclock ng konti para di ka mabottle neck, make sure na meron kang magandang heatsink.

IF LGA 775 yan, kahit mga bagong mobo, hindi yan masusuport... We tried it on Gigabyte and Asus LGA 775 (our intel p4 is LGA 775) DDR2 800mhz and DDR2 667mhz, black screen siya.

mga experto, paano naman overclock ung 5000+ ko? kaya pala sa 9500 GT ko parang medyo hindi maganda ang gameplay kahit na nakalow settings na kaya nagpalit ako sa 5870... panu pa kaya ang 5870 ko.. sayang...

This is the most detailed guide i've read so far and it explains everything your manual can't explain. This gives you an edge over reading and re-reading manuals again and again.

You don't need to follow everything stated here, but the main changes you need to do is:

Also, the mobos manual explains every option in BIOS. I know theres a lot of them, but to start you dont need to change anything but for FSB frequency, Dram frequency, and possibly cpu voltage.

Just remember to set the memory speed AFTER you changed the fsb.

mga experto, paano naman overclock ung 5000+ ko? kaya pala sa 9500 GT ko parang medyo hindi maganda ang gameplay kahit na nakalow settings na kaya nagpalit ako sa 5870... panu pa kaya ang 5870 ko.. sayang...

Anu ang Clock speed ng Athlon 5000+?

Overclock mo... about 20% siguro.

2.6 GigaCycle (gigaHertz).. possible kaso stock heatsink fan lang gamit ku at saka ung board ko onti lang ang features for overclocking... so, not yet sure if it will become successful or not. ECS 6100PM-M2 ang aking board..

According sa research ko... yang motherboard mo ay 2 ways of overclocking lang.

1. Multiplier
2. FSB

Wala siyang control sa voltage, I suggest adjusting the FSB by 5 or 10 then try mo kung stable using prime95, if it passes prime95 for about 15 minutes, go to the next FSB, and so on.

So far, ang nakita kong 2gb na malapit dito sa amin ay:

2GB Kingston DDR2 800mhz = 2,240
2GB Kingston DDR3 1333mhz = 2,550

bili ka PCI card na may sata connector. pero i advise against it. bukod sa mahirap makahanap nito, kapag nagupgrade ka, hindi mo na magagamit.

Yes, yan ung PCI Slot SATA converter. The other one is the IDE direct converter. I advise against the IDE direct converter more which costs around 300 ~ 450 pesos. Why? Nag loloose siya.

Better Na upgrade ka or ung PCI na lang gamitin mo... pero bakit nasa labas ung kabitan ng cable?

Yup. safe yan... check mo lang temps. =) Pag tumaas more than 65C, stop, lower your clocks ng konti hangang sa around 50~59C siya at 100% load. =)
