I started this thread to help everyone wanting a new computer. All you need to do is post the following:

other miscellaneous requirements:

*If to be used for gaming,. please indicate the games you wish to play.


The prices i will be using are those that come from major shops in gilmore and also PCexpress and others... The prices will only reflect that of which on the date of my post.

How to get to Gilmore:
commuting... From EDSA get on the MRT to Cubao and take the other train and get off at Gilmore station. so easy.
driving... Via aurora is the easiest way from EDSA. anyway, just ask na lang cos i dunno where you'll be coming from.

Pahingi naman po ng advice. Need ko sana specs ng computer similar sa mga ginagamit sa computer shops. Especially yung pang-games.

sir, phase out or walang ganyang IDE na ganyan kalaking size.. pwede pa SATA... bili ka nalang ng power SATA cable kung may SATA slot ang board mo.. mura lang...

hehe,alin ba ang puwedeng iupgrade?un lang ram at hard disk?at aling ram ang dapat kong ilagay?

both... ram and hard disk.. kaso iba ang presyo nito kesa sa mga desktop parts.

wag kana magupgrade, bili ka nalang ng bago.
kung gusto mo AMD, try mo sa TIEPC, shop yun sa Manila.
Php 10,650 isang budget AMD cpu only.

socket AM2+ na yan paps, tapos Athlon2 pa. Yun lang nga built-in parin Graphics nya, kulang pa budget mo pag gusto mo ng may hiwalay na GPU kasi.

(di ko na sinama Phenom1, kasi Quad yun. correct me if i'm wrong sa heirarchy ko, intel boy kasi ako hahaha)

about sa hard disk po ng lap top, d q lam tawag sa specific name nun pero sa RAM, sure akong napapalitan un dahil SODIMM po tawag dun at saka half size un ng DIMM ng desktop..

Ang maganda kc d2 eh nkasetup na at d n mahhrapan. Saka pldt ito. Puro globe n kc d2 wla n pldt. Ang bagal ng globe.

1. should I upgrade to i-Series? or stick with my current setup I have, and just do plan A? (is it an upgrade or downgrade?)

2. which is better? my Q8400or Core i3/i5/i7?


will be using it @ stock speed for the meantime since di ko pa gamay ang OC'ng.. hehehe

It's been a while... Tagal kong di nakakasagot dito ng maayos kasi kakatapos ko lang ng thesis ko at OJT and if feels good to be graduating.

Ang pagkakaintindi ko diyan sa package na yan, 8 computer + ung place? 80k? If your gonna use the computers for internet/facebook etc. Ok na ung computer. Kung gaming, sabog yang mga yan, sobrang hina niyan.

Next is the DSL Line... why the heck would anyone sell their DSL line? I say cut the line and buy a residential 3mbps instead of that one at least sa inyo nakapangalan, walang demandahan pag tagal.

Tama nga, walang AVR at webcam... pero magkanu lang un... its about 300 a piece for AVR at 350 naman para sa webcam... reasonable...

Again, tama na sagot dito... konting explanation na lang kung bakit...

Plan B

Plan B, why? Intel i cores are designed for the current and future multi-tasking needs with the exception of i7 which has in mind a "Home Server". i5 should be enough since ung performance increase between dual channel and triple channel ram is not that great. But you can still get an i7 which should last you a tad bit longer than getting an i5 setup...

Another question... why need the upgrade? Your system is one heck of a behemoth already? (mid range category).

You'll just need to upgrade your video card to something like lets say Nvidia GTS285 or ATI 5850? Kasi may research na, 2.2Ghz 800mhz FSB on a Core2Duo system is the sweet spot for gaming (forgot which review said this), any increase in the Ghz for that matter will gain 1~2fps for about 100mhz of increase.

Wag ka na mag 9400... mag 9600GT ka na agad... lugi ka sa performance ng 9400 eh... Wag sana ung Asus P5QL-SE, we had to return about 2 units of that dahil nag black-out.
