Q: Why don't you just use one-click rooting apps like Framaroot, vRoot, iRoot, KingoRoot, Root Genius and etc?
A: All of them doesn't work. Also, I don't trust vRoot, iRoot, KingoRoot and Root Genius. Not one bit, even if it works. Adware reasons. The only thing I've trusted are Framaroot and towelroot.
Q: Touch doesn't work properly on PhilZ Touch Recovery?
A: I can't get it to work properly. You can use the physical keys and disable it on the Recovery settings.

Requirements:
- A Starmobile PLAY Club smartphone, running Android 4.4.2 Kitkat
- A desktop or laptop at least running Windows 2000 Professional and above
- SP Flash Tool
- MT65XX Preloader Drivers
- Starmobile PLAY Club scatter file for SP Flash Tool (download the latest one, if possible)
- PhilZ Touch Recovery (CWM-based recovery image) for Starmobile PLAY Club (ported by me).
- SuperSU install-able ZIP package (for CWM / TWRP)

1. Flash PhilZ Touch Recovery using SP Flash Tool on Starmobile PLAY Club
2. Flash SuperSU through PhilZ Touch Recovery
Instructions
- Download and install "MT65XX VCOM Preloader Drivers". This will serve as our drivers for SP Flash Tool.
- Download and extract "SP Flash Tool". Open up "flash_tool.exe".
View attachment 210146 - Click "Scatter-loading", and locate the "MT6572_Android_scatter.txt" (Starmobile PLAY Club scatter file for SP Flash Tool).
View attachment 210148 - Untick all checkboxes and tick Recovery, then double click the blank location cell (enclosed in red box).
View attachment 210149 - Locate the "PhilZ Touch Recovery (CWM-based recovery image)" and click "Open".
View attachment 210150 - Now, make sure the drop-down box is set to "Download Only" (enclosed in blue box), then click "Download" (enclosed in red box).
View attachment 210151 - Turn off your phone, then remove the battery. Afterwards, plug the USB cable to the computer.
- Wait for the flashing process to be completed, then boot to Recovery (press Volume UP + Power button simultaneously while the device is off).
- On recovery, select Install ZIP, then Choose zip from /sdcard or /storage/sdcard1, then locate the SuperSU installable-ZIP package. Use the physical keys. I can't get touch to work properly because of the flipped screen.
- Congratulations, your Starmobile PLAY Club is now rooted and has CWM-based recovery installed on it.
