[ADVISE] Help in Assembling/Building/Choosing/Upgrading Your Computer

I started this thread to help everyone wanting a new computer. All you need to do is post the following:

usage:

other miscellaneous requirements:

*If to be used for gaming,. please indicate the games you wish to play.


The prices i will be using are those that come from major shops in gilmore and also PCexpress and others... The prices will only reflect that of which on the date of my post.

How to get to Gilmore:
commuting... From EDSA get on the MRT to Cubao and take the other train and get off at Gilmore station. so easy.
driving... Via aurora is the easiest way from EDSA. anyway, just ask na lang cos i dunno where you'll be coming from.

tito ko ram lang kaya iupgrade.. 128 lang kc nakalagay..

di poh ako sure para atang sdram or something like that..(wala kc ako alam sa pc)

eto po ang motherboard....eto ang "highway" ng system natin..dito dumadaan lahat...dito nagmimeet ang mga computer peripherals (like harddisk, cdrom, processor, etc)

walang akong VC satisfied naman sa graphics ng mga games na nalaro like COD4, crysis, worlds if conflict, CNC.

Ok na yung PC ko eh, yung lag lang sa games,
Ano po bang VC ang maganda for playing HL2, WiC, CoH, Crysis, Halo 3, atpb. Basta yung mga bigatin na games...

skip that setup, but it MAY run your games. GeForce7 lang kasi yan e.
choose a newer board such as the emaxx ANF82-Pro (GeForce8) or the Emaxx 780G-Pro (HD3200). or kung tagtipid talaga, opt for a 690G chipset rather than a GF7 one...

also that 5000+ processor is an old stock(windsor) sabihin mo gusto mo brisbane. kahit lower speed better yun.

9600GT 512mb 128bit DDR3 - 6K

Tama si nybee. 9800GT is less than 6K na lang, kung hindi kaya, 9600GT 5K+(ata). There are also ATi alternatives such as HD3850 and HD 4670... 5K is HD3870, which is good also. as a comparison... just be sure to get higher DDR memory variants.

9600GT=HD3870
9500GT = 4670 = 3850
9800GT is a lot better than these, but only a step behind the 9K 4850.

oops sorry i almost missed this. yeah, go upgrade, pero hanggang 1gb na lang, anyhigher and you're wasting money. kung SDRAM nga, 512 is enough, mahal na masyado yung mataas nyan e. but, good luck na lang finding stocks of those. matagal na ako naghahanap wala ako makita nyan. (BNEW)

also sir check the maximum RAM supported by the mobo..kasi may mga maximum yang supported......although a P3 mobo IMO can support up to 1GB I think..(nagkamali ako dati 1Gb nabili ko, hanggng 512Mb lang pala pwede)

yup thats my mobo! emaxx 780g pro. you should get a brisbane core ewan lang kung nkalagay sa box ng processor yun. sakin kasi nalaman ko lang na brisbane nung nagrun ang ng CPUID. lets ask sir ohnow3p kung pano.

well hindi ko din alam!

hehe... pero nakalagay sa box yung L2 Cache nya. brisbane L2 cache should be 512 per core, windsor is 1024 per core.

himayhimayin... short answer is yes.

One PCIe x16 (this is where the video card goes)
2 PCI 1x ewan ko kung ano nilalagay dito (sound card pa minsan)
3 PCI ver 2.2 means that your PCI slots support newer PCI cards (PCI cards are usually sound cards, lan cards... etc)

oh and bossing, can you re-check the model number? mali ata.

-sa dual channelling po ito ng RAM...kasi may mga RAM na dual channel...kunwari 1GB na 2ng piraso....ikakabit mo dpat sa Slot 1 at 3...at in preformance..mas mabilis ang dual channel kesa sa single stick (2GB na)...kung 2ng dual channel naman..mas maganda identical lahat ng RAMs mo..bali 2x2x1GB na dual channel...pero in this case mas recommended na ang 2x2GB na dual channel....dpende sa supported memory ng motherboard mo...
