Hi guys,

I started this thread to help everyone wanting a new computer. All you need to do is post the following:
Code:
budget:
usage:

other miscellaneous requirements:

*If to be used for gaming,. please indicate the games you wish to play.

The prices i will be using are those that come from major shops in gilmore and also PCexpress and others... The prices will only reflect that of which on the date of my post.

also please put your requests in this format:

Processor:
Motherboard:
RAM:

Video Card:

Hard Drive:
Optical Drive:

Power Supply:
Casing:

monitor:

Accessories:

please indicate (at least)the size of the hard disk desired, and also what you need/have/prefer.

Thanks.

How to get to Gilmore:
commuting... From EDSA get on the MRT to Cubao and take the other train and get off at Gilmore station. so easy.
driving... Via aurora is the easiest way from EDSA. anyway, just ask na lang cos i dunno where you'll be coming from.

An example post would be as follows:
Hi. Please help me buy a computer for my son. He will be using it mainly for school and some games. He likes to play Dota and L4D. Our budget for the PC would be 20K. We already have a printer, monitor and speakers. Our monitor is a 17" CRT monitor. My son said he prefers 1gb video card.

Thank you.

Re: [ADVISE]Help you build/choose a Computer

maraming salamat po. kala ko kasi may mga specs pa ang lcd monitor like refresh rate or pixel. yung mga ganun.

Re: [ADVISE]Help you build/choose a Computer

meron nga! :D

for refresh rate you want 60Hz or higher, preferably at 70-85Hz. any higher and you won't notice the difference anymore.

response time you want as low as possible, meron nang 2ms pero mahal pa yun... ok na siguro mga 5ms.

sa pixels you want higher also, for 19" norm is 1440x900 etc... makikita mo naman na yan sa specs nila.

then yung contrast ratio. i think 3000:1 should be fine.

i see. so yan pala dapat alamin bago bumili ng lcd.

:noidea::lol:

Re: [ADVISE]Help you build/choose a Computer

depends na bro on the specs. meron bro mga 6W lang, meron sinlakas ng flat iron :D

sa 17" LCD alam ko nasa 7K yan, pero res nyan sa 1280X1024 lang. ipon onti na lang then buy a 19" for 8K

Re: [ADVISE]Help you build/choose a Computer

hmmmmm what brand you think is best at 19 inches LCD.

Re: [ADVISE]Help you build/choose a Computer

any brand is fine IMHO. just check warranty.

AOC, chimei, hanns are new cheap options while ACER LG SAMSUNG etc are more expensive ones... pero kung ako tatanungin mo, pareparehas lang yan.

Re: [ADVISE]Help you build/choose a Computer

Thank goodness i found this thread. Gracias to OhNow3p for sharing his expertise in computers to others.

I hope you could help me. Ang primary use is for gaming lang and of course, internet.

I hope you could help me build a computer that would be able to play those games smoothly pero hindi naman masyado mahal.

Gracias in advance!

Re: [ADVISE]Help you build/choose a Computer

padre, check the first post for the format in requesting PC spec.

processor: AMD Athlon X2 5200+ 3500
motherboard: Emaxx ANF82-Pro 3000
memory: Team Elite 2gb dual channel kit 1800
power supply: HEC Raptor 500W 2500

i played Civ4 on a similarly setup computer and did not experience any slowdowns and graphics wise, ok na ok.

post again in the format para naman mas matulungan kita.

sir, kung saan kayo bibili, dun na din po ninyo pa-assemble, add po kayo around 500.. kung sa Gilmore po kayo bibili, dapat may kasama kayo na may knowledge sa hardware, ako I bought my CPU from RSun, so far so good.. hehe.. about po sa fan, alam ko depende sa pagkakalagay..

Re: [ADVISE]Help you build/choose a Computer

grachissima for the info STAT. The cpu you bought from RSun, buo na ba yun ng nabili mo?

nope, pina-assemble ko po ung CPU ko.. suggest ko lang if 15k po, you can opt for a motherboard w/ onboard graphics (780G, around 3.2k) then buy a VC later if you're not satisfied, then go for a casing na merong kasamang PSU (around 1.5k).. :D

Re: [ADVISE]Help you build/choose a Computer

:D (what stat said).

you could save further by opting for a generic Power supply that comes with your case but i strongly discourage this. in fact if you can, kung may sukli pa dun sa 15K, idagdag mo yun sa PSU.

Re: [ADVISE]Help you build/choose a Computer

OhNow3p and STAT: Muchas grachissimas for the inputs. Now i know what parts to buy for my pc. tamang tama lang ang 15k na budget. thanks again guys. I really appreciate your help. :hat:

Re: [ADVISE]Help you build/choose a Computer

2 years warranty daw kasi sa main parts

Re: [ADVISE]Help you build/choose a Computer

2 years naman talaga sa lahat e... 1 year shop+2 years distro... what the shop does is just for 1 year kung may sira pwede mo pa-palit sa kanila... on the second, sa kanila ka pa rin naman pupunta pero mas matagal kasi papadala pa nila sa distro.

Re: [ADVISE]Help you build/choose a Computer
