Hi guys,

I started this thread to help everyone wanting a new computer. All you need to do is post the following:
Code:
budget:
usage:

other miscellaneous requirements:

*If to be used for gaming,. please indicate the games you wish to play.

The prices i will be using are those that come from major shops in gilmore and also PCexpress and others... The prices will only reflect that of which on the date of my post.

also please put your requests in this format:

Processor:
Motherboard:
RAM:

Video Card:

Hard Drive:
Optical Drive:

Power Supply:
Casing:

monitor:

Accessories:

please indicate (at least)the size of the hard disk desired, and also what you need/have/prefer.

Thanks.

How to get to Gilmore:
commuting... From EDSA get on the MRT to Cubao and take the other train and get off at Gilmore station. so easy.
driving... Via aurora is the easiest way from EDSA. anyway, just ask na lang cos i dunno where you'll be coming from.

An example post would be as follows:
Hi. Please help me buy a computer for my son. He will be using it mainly for school and some games. He likes to play Dota and L4D. Our budget for the PC would be 20K. We already have a printer, monitor and speakers. Our monitor is a 17" CRT monitor. My son said he prefers 1gb video card.

Thank you.

both AMD and Intel are good sir, pero if medyo bitin ang budget, i always recommend AMD, since AMD is also going up the charts as of now. .

Processor: AMD Phenom II X4 925 2.8GHz (P6,995)
Motherboard: MSI 785GM-E51 (P4,020)
RAM: 4GB Team Elite 1333Mhz DDR3 (P5,060)
HDD: Western Digital Caviar Blue SATA 500GB (P2,350)
OPD: LG 22X DVD Burner SATA(P1,300)
Casing: Thermaltake V3 (P2,300)
PSU: hec Raptor Power 500W (P2,250)
VC: PowerColor Radeon HD 5770 1GB DDR5 (P7,480)
Monitor: LG 20" W2043T LCD Monitor (P6,795)
Total: P38,550

Re: [ADVISE]Help you build/choose/upgrade your Computer

core i5 750
XFX 5770
2GB RAM Kingston
80 GB Samsung IDE & 320 GB WDC SATA

or crossfire yan di ba pag ATI radeon???

sa video cards sir, nvidia at ati manufacturers dyan. .
nvidia being more expensive than ati by 4k-5k on high end cards. .
nvidia is known to be the leading manufacturer, but ati is also gaining to the lead as of now. .:)

about SLI/CrossFire systems, roughly 40k-65k "para sa akin" .ako kasi, i would recommend SLI/CrossFire systems, with Dual-Core (with 3.0GHz-maximum overclock) or Quad-Cores (with 3.0GHz-maximum overclock), SLI/CrossFire motherboards, branded true rated PRU, monitor resolution with 1680x1050 minimum, AND video cards that are on the mid-end to high-end range. .

1st about the proc. .kaya sinasabi ko na either yung dualcore/quadcore ay nasa 3.0GHz, operating at that frequency is the "sweet spot" for a processor in SLI/CrossFire, para hindi mahila ng lakas ng SLI-ed/CrossFire-d cards yung lakas ng processor. .
2nd about sa motherboard, xempre, you need SLI/CrossFire enabled motherboards to let your system be an SLI/CrossFire system. .
3rd true rated PSU, on of the most important part to consider in a computer esp. with mid-end to high-end parts. .delivery of power, voltages and current must work effectively and efficiently to avoid pc damage(burned PSU or might damage the whole system). .
4th, monitor with resolutions 1680x1050 and above (mostly 22" and above). .why?sayang yung lakas ng SLI/CrossFire system mo yung iplaplay mo lang sa 1280x1024 na resolution, either magsingle card ka nlng na malakas, para tipid. .
5th, med-end to high-end video card. .why?kung ng SLI ka ng 9400GT, bili nlng ako ng 9800GT na isa, masmalakas pa. .for almost the same price. .

sa opinion ko lang naman ito sir. .:)

actually, you would not even know which processor is better, unless you're into benchmarking. .i tell you, AMD is going up the charts today as price/performance ratio, sulit na sulit! :)
