[ADVISE] Help in Assembling/Building/Choosing/Upgrading Your Computer

Hi guys,

I started this thread to help everyone wanting a new computer. All you need to do is post the following:

budget:
usage:

other miscellaneous requirements:

*If to be used for gaming,. please indicate the games you wish to play.


The prices i will be using are those that come from major shops in gilmore and also PCexpress and others... The prices will only reflect that of which on the date of my post.

How to get to Gilmore:
commuting... From EDSA get on the MRT to Cubao and take the other train and get off at Gilmore station. so easy.
driving... Via aurora is the easiest way from EDSA. anyway, just ask na lang cos i dunno where you'll be coming from.

Hi. Please help me buy a computer for my son. He will be using it mainly for school and some games. He likes to play Dota and L4D. Our budget for the PC would be 20K. We already have a printer, monitor and speakers. Our monitor is a 17" CRT monitor. My son said he prefers 1gb video card.

My choice for now is the budget LENOVO IDEAPAD 110.

pang documents lang naman . teacher kc gagamit.

may masusuggest pa kayong mas maganda sa unit na nakita ko.

mga boss, ano ba ideal price ng rx 470 at rx 480? parang ang mahal kasi. plan ko kasi bumili or mag nvidia nalang ako gtx 1060.
rx 470 & lg 23mp68vq or gtx 1060 & cheapest 1080p monitor. vs450 lang psu ko.

rx 470 & lg 23mp68vq or gtx 1060 & cheapest 1080p monitor. vs450 lang psu ko.

no brainer rx 480 kung bibili ka ng freesync monitor

Freesync monitor, RX 480 ka, wag ka mag 1060 sayang freesync mo.

Upgrade your PSU, VS450 is tier 6, masyadong low quality components. Get at least a seasonic S12ii 520w

Freesync monitor, RX 480 ka, wag ka mag 1060 sayang freesync mo.

ito po kasi mga boss BenQ GW2270 + Gtx 1060 6gb is P17,590 vs LG 23MP68VQ + Rx 470 4gb is 17550 considering yung VS450 ko. ano mas ok sa dawalang option para sa games like witcher 3,gta v & skyrim.

gtx1060 will definitely perform better on witcher3 and gta v since those have gameworks and the 1060 is on par with the rx480.

meron din kasing freesync yung lg dunno if it help alot sa game ko. gusto ko lang masulit budget ko nasa 17k range lang. mapilitan ako mag upgrade kasi nasira na monitor ko 6 yrs ko nagamit

freesync is for AMD GPU's. kung nvidia gpu mo and want to avail of dynamic refresh rates, then you'll have to buy a g-sync capable monitor. nvidia gpu's can't utilize freesync pero nakikinabang din naman sila sa high refresh rate ng monitor (if any)

advantage talaga yung freesync because it reduces stuttering. lalo na sa mga games na ganyan kasi youd want to increase the quality as much as possible. wala kasi mga comparison na ganyan with freesync. it doesnt increase your fps but makes it smooth. most youtubers only compare fps. depende rin sa cpu mo yan. need mo ng i5 to match.

Why not LG 23MP68VQ + Rx 480 8gb? Magkalapit lang naman presyo ni 1060 6GB and RX 480 8GB ah. Tapos mas mabilis pa sa vulcan and DX12 ang RX 280

tnx sa input boss Jayheil, yang dalawa lang pinagpilian ko because of the total price malaki na rin aabutin rx480 + freesync monitor and also i dont want to change my psu(VS450) w/c is bitin daw for rx 480.

salamat din boss nubbest,parang amd gpu na cguro ako. by the way im using ivy bridge i5 3470 luma na pero sa tingin ko pasok parin sya para sa gtx 1060 & rx470/480.

atleast 1TB na HDD lang, yung pwede maka rak ng 1080 games, kaso napapatanong ako kung pwede ba talaga tung budget na kahit 15k or less lang talaga para maka run ng 1080 games.. kahit CPU set lang muna wala munang monitor, keyboard, mouse.. Yung pwedeng GTA V or Witcher 3 high settings possible ba sa around 15k? Salamat po sa sasagot

mga boss... newbie question lang po... ups or avr or surge protector??? ano po dapat yung pagkasunod sunod nila from wallsocket to pc/monitor?? pano po malalaman kung sapat na yung indicated na va sa ups sa pc at monitor po? tiaa )
