Hi guys,

I started this thread to help everyone wanting a new computer. All you need to do is post the following:
Code:
budget:
usage:

other miscellaneous requirements:

*If to be used for gaming,. please indicate the games you wish to play.

The prices i will be using are those that come from major shops in gilmore and also PCexpress and others... The prices will only reflect that of which on the date of my post.

also please put your requests in this format:

Processor:
Motherboard:
RAM:

Video Card:

Hard Drive:
Optical Drive:

Power Supply:
Casing:

monitor:

Accessories:

please indicate (at least)the size of the hard disk desired, and also what you need/have/prefer.

Thanks.

How to get to Gilmore:
commuting... From EDSA get on the MRT to Cubao and take the other train and get off at Gilmore station. so easy.
driving... Via aurora is the easiest way from EDSA. anyway, just ask na lang cos i dunno where you'll be coming from.

An example post would be as follows:
Hi. Please help me buy a computer for my son. He will be using it mainly for school and some games. He likes to play Dota and L4D. Our budget for the PC would be 20K. We already have a printer, monitor and speakers. Our monitor is a 17" CRT monitor. My son said he prefers 1gb video card.

Thank you.

Okay naman. Consider mo din used RX 570. Tapos yung mase-save mo para sa brand new na RX570 pwede mo pang brand new na SSD na 240GB+.

here's a vid of a pinoy youtuber with a 40k build. i'd like to see some comments here regarding his build. well, you can also do that in his channel.
i'll list his parts below.

parts list:
cpu: i3 9100f
mobo: asus prime h310m-e r2.0
gpu: asus dual geforce gtx 1660ti OC edition
ram: ballistix 8gb 4x2 2666mhz ddr4
cpu cooler: deep cool gammaxx 400 white
ssd: seagate barracuda 256gb
hdd: seagate barracuda 1tb
psu: deepcool da700
case: deepcool matrexx 30
led strip: deep cool rgb 350

my comments:
seriously? i3 only for 40k? i would still go for either a 2nd gen ryzen or the newer 3rd gen if you are on a budget
mobo... well... nothing i can do about that... :noidea: i'd go for a b450 if ryzen
ram, i'd go for a higher speed kung ryzen, but this will do kung intel. maybe 16gb kung matitipid ibang parts.
gpu... i really don't like the 1600 series. it's just a stopgap measure against amd's older generation which are selling really well. i'd go for a cheaper rx580 here... or maybe even a rx vega 56/64 depende sa sale.
psu? deepcool? i'd rather go for seasonic, evga or corsair that costs less than 3k
case? meh :noidea: personal preference. don't care
rgb :noidea:
cpu cooler: no need kung ryzen

edit: my 40k build
cpu: ryzen 5 2600 = 7500
mobo: msi b450m gaming plus = 4850
gpu: asus 8gb rx580 strix oc gaming = 11999 (pchub) or get 2nd hand for around 5k~7k
ram: corsair vengeance rgb pro 16gb 2x8 ddr4 3000 = 5400
ssd: adata xpg sx6000 256gb = 2950
hdd: wd blue 1tb = 2100
psu: evga 500bv = 2500 (pchub)
case: tecware nexus tg = 2000
Total = 39,299

pros: better cpu, more ram, faster NVME boot drive, cpu upgrade versatility
cons: relatively slower GPU, consumes more power, no RGB

options: ram can be replaced with only 8gb and get cheaper ssd. the savings can go to a faster gpu.

The difference between his build vs other youtubers, sobrang layo. Yung iba kasi price to performance talaga ang cino-consider, yung looks like led strip, cooling, etc, optional. Sya, yun ang isa sa major consideration nya. Kaya ayan, maganda tignan pero weak. :slap: :slap: Sayang talaga pera.

Baka sponsored din ng deepcool? Pero yun nga, oa sa looks. Naiwan yung pinaka-crucial na pc parts. Hahaha

suggestions:
mobo: x570 has no apparent benefit other than PCIE 4.0... that have very few devices which capable of using as of now :noidea: also, hindi naman yung top of the line na 3900x or upcoming 3950x ang ilalagay mo... i would recommend that you would go for a very good x470 or even a b450 mobo instead (MSI X470 Gaming Pro = 8110)
ram: 3rd gen ryzen supports up to 3600mhz regardless of the mobo/chipset. maybe in the future, pwede pang ma-achieve yung higher clock speeds... pero as of now, 3600mhz is the sweet spot. meron si PChub = 16gb (dual) ddr4 3600 Patriot Viper Steel, CL17 1.35v (5740)
cpu cooler is overkill in my opinion :noidea: i would rather recommend a noctua nhd15
ssd: get an NVME m.2 ssd. samsung 970 evo is the best out there... pwede namang ibang brand at model like ada sx6000 series, wd black, etc.
hdd: WD or Seagate... doesn't matter... maybe at least 2tb... get the biggest you can afford...
GPU: at least a rtx 2070 based on your needs.

sabi na eh. pwede pa bumaba price xD. thank you boss. buti pala nagcomment muna ako dito. salamat salamat.

so mas ok pa 2070 kesa sa 5700xt?

Medyo maliit ata budget na yan for your purpose sir. Pero wait mo nalang din mga pro dito. Kung ako kasi yan, hanap nalang ako 2nd hand baka may makita.

@lex37;

my opinion:
ram: baka may mahanap ka na 3600mhz or kahit 3200mhz with a similar price  otherwise, pwede na yan
cpu cooler: that's overkill :noidea: 65w lang TDP ng 3600... hindi iinit yan kahit OC mo. i would recommend something cheaper and go for an air cooler instead para less hassle sa maintenance.
the rest seems quite well balanced
