[ADVISE] Help in Assembling/Building/Choosing/Upgrading Your Computer

Hi guys,

I started this thread to help everyone wanting a new computer. All you need to do is post the following:

usage:

other miscellaneous requirements:

*If to be used for gaming,. please indicate the games you wish to play.

The prices i will be using are those that come from major shops in gilmore and also PCexpress and others... The prices will only reflect that of which on the date of my post.

also please put your requests in this format:

please indicate (at least)the size of the hard disk desired, and also what you need/have/prefer.

How to get to Gilmore:
commuting... From EDSA get on the MRT to Cubao and take the other train and get off at Gilmore station. so easy.
driving... Via aurora is the easiest way from EDSA. anyway, just ask na lang cos i dunno where you'll be coming from.

An example post would be as follows:

Hi. Please help me buy a computer for my son. He will be using it mainly for school and some games. He likes to play Dota and L4D. Our budget for the PC would be 20K. We already have a printer, monitor and speakers. Our monitor is a 17" CRT monitor. My son said he prefers 1gb video card.

may tanong po ako sa ram. ano po ba mas maganda, 4gb na single channel o yung 2x2gb na dual channel???

pareho lang naman sila na 4gb diba?? ang pinagkaiba lang, yung isa, 2pcs na 2gb.

ano mas maganda gamitin??

Dun sa DVD mo ipon ka konti or kung gs2 mo downgrade mo ung seasonic psu to Seasonic (M12II) 620watts 80PLUS Bronze - 4200.00 or ung monitor ( pero suggestion ko at lest 20" tlga pra sa gpu kasi sobrang lakas nyan kayang kaya 1920x1080 resolution max/ultra settings smooth )pra makabli ka ng DVD writer ata un. wala kasi ako masyadong alam sa DVD ask mo nlng sa mga ibang ka symb.
kaya ko nmn ginawang 750W eh pra sa future upgrade mo at ung mobo pde ka na din mag upgrade ng ivy bridge jan in the future.
pinili ko rin ang i3 kasi kayang kaya nmn nyan ang games na requested mo kasi di nmn masyado nag babase sa cpu ang games na yan kundi sa gpu. ung gpu eh the best gpu na yan bang for the buck.
any suggestions mga ka symb sa build ko? yan din balak ko in the future eh.

tnx boss. ako na lng bahala magadjust kung may iba pa kong nagugustuhan. pag bago pa lang sa tpc may discount na sa PCHUB? Thanks po ule.

sir sa aking pagbabasa basa sa mga sites nalaman ko na ang 2x2 eh mas maganda kesa sa isang 4gb. di ko alam kung pano iexplain pero pra daw sa dual channel pra mas mamaximize ung paggamit ng ram. balak ko nga dati bli ung single 4gb pero after ko nabasa sa 2x2 nlng ako.

kasi ang i5 eh 8k to 9k po ang pricing if im not mistaken. bali pag bbli ka ng low end graphics card like 3k to 4k mabobottle neck lang ng i5 mo ang gpu kaya hindi rin sulit. payo ko lang kung gs2 mo pang games pero malupit parin ang processor mag intel i3-2120 nlng.

Corsair = water cooling
CMaster = air cooling

and depende po yan sa case mo kung kasya ang CMaster at kung gs2 mo nmn ng maganda looks eh sa corsair kna. depende din sa case kung full airflowing or full water cooling.[/QUOTE]

IMO, ok lang mag single 4gb basta bibili ulit ng isa pang single 4gb para 2x4gb na ang mangyayari.. eh di mas maganda.. :lol:
