[ADVISE] Help in Assembling/Building/Choosing/Upgrading Your Computer

I started this thread to help everyone wanting a new computer. All you need to do is post the following:

*If to be used for gaming,. please indicate the games you wish to play.


The prices i will be using are those that come from major shops in gilmore and also PCexpress and others... The prices will only reflect that of which on the date of my post.

How to get to Gilmore:
commuting... From EDSA get on the MRT to Cubao and take the other train and get off at Gilmore station. so easy.
driving... Via aurora is the easiest way from EDSA. anyway, just ask na lang cos i dunno where you'll be coming from.

Hi. Please help me buy a computer for my son. He will be using it mainly for school and some games. He likes to play Dota and L4D. Our budget for the PC would be 20K. We already have a printer, monitor and speakers. Our monitor is a 17" CRT monitor. My son said he prefers 1gb video card.

wala po ako build sir. laptop lang po gamit ko. mahilig lang tlaga ako magbasa ng furom. dahil dun mas marami kang matotonan compaared to reveiws.

sa win 7 at vista po ata yan sir para ma.install ung app with administrator rights. ung ibang app kasi kahit na nakainstall na at walang admin rights d gagana tulad ng mga vpn at ung mga antivirus. inaacess kasi nila ung ibang files sa windows/system32 folder mo for some changes which is not acessible kung d admin.

Mejo magilig ako sa games mga sir. Kung papipiliin kayo kung ano yung kelangan ko po iupgrade dto, ano po uunahin ko? Paisa isa lang po ako kasi mag updge

Napaka maraming maraming Salamat po sa advise at tulong nyu sir.

Sa ngayon po, nagbabalak palang po talaga kame magtayo ng erpat ko ng Computer Shop. So bale wala pa po kameng Server at balak ko din po ganyang Specs din ang gagawin ko para sa server at sa ilang units na pc.

Sa tingin ko, kahit hindi ko na lagyan ng ODD yung units at sa Server lang meron, ok naman po yun diba?
Tapos wala po bang 250gb na HDD? or Magkano po ba ang 500gb na HDD? Mukang kailangan po kasi ata ng HDD for computer shop? Para po may paglagyan ng backups kung sakali. Pero may external naman po ako kaya kahit po 250gb lang pwede na.

Sige po mag 18.5" po akong monitor. Magandang klase na po ba yang Philips? o Samsung?

Sana po tulungan nyu ko ulit. Thanks po in advance. ​

Magandang araw po, masters.

Gusto ko lang po sa magpatulong tungkol sa balak kong bilhing PC (desktop). Pakiusap po, kailangan ko po kasi ng expert's advise bago ako sumabak sa pagbili.

Ang budget ko po ay 10k-15k. Basically, ang function ng PC na balak kong buuin ay video editing (Adobe Premiere). Film po kasi ang kurso ko kaya gusto ko ng computer na mabilis sa editing.

Kailangang-kailangan ko po talaga ng advise. Maraming-maraming salamat po sa tulong ninyo.

dead.end napo ang platform nyo. so hirap for upgrades po. vc lang ata ang d sakit sa ulo. at naguyo ka po ata ng card nayan. magkanu yan nung nabili mopo? for sure mahal yan dahil 2g. lage pong tandaan higher memory memory doesnt assure good perf in lower end cards. plus that card is just a rebraded (bagong bihis) gt 440 so it is not based on the new kepler arc. mas sulit ung counterpart nya na c 6670 gddr5.

Entry level lang po iyon? Paano po kung 20k ang budget ko? Kahit yung hindi naman sobrang high-powered set up for video edit. 'Yung sakto lang for 15-20k. Pwede na po kaya 'yon? CPU lang naman po, hindi ko na kailangan ng specs for monitor, speaker o kung ano mang peripherals. Ano po sa tingin ninyo?

ilang units po na ganyan? how much are you willing to invest? d nagtatapos ang pagtatau ng shop sa pagbili ng units. there are lot factors to consider:
*magrerenta ba kau ng place? 20k up rent per month is pamatay na
*meron naba kaung os? sa pagkakaalam ko need 60k or up for corporate licensing. kung gagamit po kau ng crack be prepared for raids from microsoft especially in manila.
*bayad for city permit, electrical permit at sangkatutak na permit.

suggest lang po muna sir makiramdam po muna kau sa paligid kung me kumpitisyon o wala. ang laging hinahanap ng mga tao eh ung mas mura, mas convenient, mad malamig.

yup entry level lang po un for professional pero kung sa ating mga student mapagtyatyagaan na. alam nyo po ba na ang pinakamababang professional na graphics card e masyadong mahal sa atin at bihira lang mahanap pumapatak po un ng 10k up. kung dati ang hinahanap na build for video editing is the power of processor but i think that will end in the near future due to more developers are linning towards opencl or heterogernous comuputing. plus the factor that encoding in cpu takes more time than encoding in a gpu. i think this is a good read to give you idea.

so in your build sir at get an i5 then save money for professional gpus. at sir pau ko lang wag nyo po baliwalain ang monitor nyo kau rin mahihirapan kung kukuha kau ng maliit na monitor.

sabi most of the game eh 2 cores lang nagagamit. i want to know is ok lang ba na mag 2 cores padin like i3 then invest nalang sa gpu?

gusto ko kasi makatipid as much as possible. just wondering din kasi sa mga game covers eh recomended ang quad.

high setting kasi gusto ko

tma po kau sir but with the upcoming ps4 and xbox720 which are all powered by amd apu chips which has 8 cores i think d napu d na po nalalau ang 8 core support for most games dahil madali nalang e port ang mga console games to pc. ex. po nito ung bagong tomb raider. plus latest game engine support more than four cores. pero aus napo ang i3 but marami kasi nagrereklamo sa hyperthreading eh.

aus pala sa in.u sir..naku dito sa amin ang higpit. bawat kabit may bayad. daming requirements. at halos taon2x may ms na nangraraid. ung employe dapat may sss at philhealth. kung 5 units aus na po yan basta wag lalagpas ng 10k ung rent nyo mukhang d na kau kikita nun sa 5units lang. anu po lage nilalaru jan? kung dotadota lang overated na ung specs nyo.

maniwala ka jan kay spy yan gamit ko ngayon nakakapaglaro ako ng high settings sa 2k13 gamit ko 32" na LED TV ko swabe graphics sarap manood ng HD movies..

lahat yan high settings and im gettings HIGH FPS naman
