I started this thread to help everyone wanting a new computer. All you need to do is post the following:

The prices i will be using are those that come from major shops in gilmore and also PCexpress and others... The prices will only reflect that of which on the date of my post.

How to get to Gilmore:
commuting... From EDSA get on the MRT to Cubao and take the other train and get off at Gilmore station. so easy.
driving... Via aurora is the easiest way from EDSA. anyway, just ask na lang cos i dunno where you'll be coming from.

sir... tanung q lang kung magkano GE force VGA?... xaka kung compatible ba ang VGA s khit low specs?... pentium 4 lng kc PC ko, bumigay na ung VGA, bka wala nakong mabilihan ng VGA n ppwede pa sa motherboard q...

Uy, mga bossing, bottleneck ba ang GTX260 sa AMD Athlon 64 X2 5000+? okay na ba ung ma overclock ng 3.0 gc (actually, 2.991 Ghz)? wew... anu nga pala danger temperature? umaabot ng 60 degrees kapag naglalaro ako e.

gumamit ako ng prime95 wala pang 10 minutes, shutdown na agad ung pc ko, meaning?

bottle neck siya kung hindi mo na overclock, usually hindi nabobottleneck ang ganyan na processor kapag nasa 3Ghz and above eh. .pero check temps and stability.

kung pwede paps, yung temperature sa naoverclock na processor is mas-ok (sa akin ha) if hindi lumalampas sa 45c-50c. ang max temp na pwede sa Athlon 64 X2 ay 78c. .^_^

ewan ko sir,, haha nababalew na ako.. pero kung lagyan ko ng cooler? anu kaya? kasi ung mobo ko eh FSB at multiplier lang eh.. walang voltage control. which means hanggang x5 lang ang kaya sa mobo ko.. bad3p nga e.. teka, anu nga ba mangyayari kapag gaming na, ibig ko sabihin, naglalaro na ako gamit ung GTX 260.

mataas ang 60C sa amd... lalo na kung brisbane ang processor mo. kung windsor yan, medyo mataas pa rin. max TDP ng brisbane is 75C so malapit ka na dun. ingat ka.

ano monitor mo sir, bago tayo magusap ng bottleneck. baka yun ang bottleneck at hindi processor mo.

kung ako ang tatanungin mo, ok na yan 1gb ng ram mo basta wag ka muna mag migrate sa Win7 or vista. stay put ka muna sa XP. ok lang yan. mas bibilis pa yan dahil parang onboard video pa ang gamit mo. i suggest ipon ka pa onti, bili ka na lang ng VC. ano po ba monitor ninyo?

mga sir! 18k last na po budget for CPU. either amd or intel po. kahit wala na pong VC basta kaya ng onboard yung karamihan ng ol games.

Kung nagshushut down na siya sa prime95 within 10min that's bad... ang initial goal mo is to pass 15min mark without errors... then get it stable to at least 2hrs with prime95... If you pass two hours, you have a slight assurance of stability na.

Bottle neck ka masyado sa processor mo kung GTX250 or higher ang kukunin mo... Upgrade ka na lang muna Procie and get 790G chipset. Stay put ka muna dun angat di ka nakakaipon ng budget for the high end 5 series. Get athlon II 250 x2. its fine for about one to two years.

need ko lng po ng advice kung anung hardwares ang best sa GPU na nVidia GeForce GTX 295 . any amount will do . gaming pc po ang paggagamitan nito . minsan programing . i wanna play games like L4D2, HAWX, prototype, Modern Warfare 2, Crysis 2, FEAR 2, and Fallout. also i will emulate some PS2 games.

the GTX295 is one power hungry card... Going with I7's they say is the way to go here. But cost wise, its not the best thing out there... You want to play a lot of games but anu pa ibang gamit ng PC mo? Will you be doing video rendering on H264 output? Or will you be using photoshop to create 1000 sq ft images? Or will you be using it as a server or for autocad 3d?

Sa PC buying kasi, its best to get the PC that fits what you need to do... Example...

For me, I'm a gamer, yeah I do a lot of gaming, intensive ones, specially with 25.5" or 19"x2 monitors. So I'd rather go with a powerful GPU and a CPU that wont bottle neck that GPU.

There are a lot of builds nang nasusugest para diyan sa video card na yan... sino gusto magrecap?

saludo ako sa inyo sir 3p! Same ang opinion ko para kay romski, OK na ung 1GB na RAM. Windows XP lang naman ang OS mo, so you wont need the 2 Gb ram, upgrade your video card instead, PCI-E x16 naman ang motherboard ninyo. Buy a 9400GT (kung gusto mo nasa below 2k ang price, but this is the entry level for game wise, and it sucks...) or... get 9600GT which is a gaming video card. 4670 works too, lower power consumption. =)

I'm guessing your using AGP slot... ang best na nakita ko diyan ay ung 7300GT na AGP... rare performance card costing around 1.8k 2nd hand... AGP cards are rare... kung mag uupgrade ka ng PC at meron kang 12k na budget, makakakuha ka na ng 780G na onboard chip which is better than 7300GT.

heto, nag upload ako ng mga pics para sa monitoring temperature ng processor ko.. picture 1 & 2, may load ung processor ko.. ung rest pictures, idle lang... tapos ung last picture, may prime95 na kasama, test mode yan habang screenshot ko.

tatanung lng po gagawa kasi ako nang bagong cpu kaso mag tatanung muna ako ung makakalaro nmn ako nang magagandang laro katulad nang hon ung mga ganun audition hehe... sugges nmn kayo ung magandang specs nang cpu hehe ang budget po is 15k

forget getting higher end VC's if your monitor is CRT with resolution 1280x1024. kasi at that resolution, kaya na ng 9600GT lahat ng games at never mo makikita yung difference sa higher end VC.

Therefore, before buying a higher end VC, magpalit po kayo ng monitor, preferably 22 or 24 inch na full HD (1080p)

sir salamat po. so eto na po ba yung kalalabasan nya? athlon 64 x2 5000, emaxx amd780g acc, 2gb ddr3 1333 ram, seagate barracuda(kahit 160gb lang po), 9500gt or 4670 anu po kya sa dalawa?, dvdr, casing. magkano po kaya ang kada part? tsaka if ever lumampas sa 18k, ok lang po b kht wlang VC? OL games nalang po lalaruin ko. or if mas maganda po ba kung gagawing 4gb nalang ung ram instead of buying a vc? or kung gagawing 5200 yung proc?

9600GT choke on 19" for some high end games... Hangang Med settings lang kaya if full 1440 x 900 resolution ang kukunin... note... SOME... so... turn off the AA/MSAA and Vertical Sync ok na din, decent frame rates of 40~70 fps on some games...

Oo nga nu... ngayun ko lang nakita yang thread na yan sa TPC... nice. Guess I'll think of buying one... anu ang FSB nun? 1066mhz?

4670 na lang kaysa 9500GT... kasi di naman gaming VC un eh... 780G = 3200HD around the same performance as 9400GT... ata... or 9500GT? forgot which one...

alright.. final na.. GTX260 with 19" Liquid Crystal Display monitor.. not sure kung overclock pa processor kase dadating tatay ko para bumili ng pc parts... so tingnan ko baka kasama na dun ung quad core processor in exchange with my AMD 5000+..
