[ADVISE] Help in Assembling/Building/Choosing/Upgrading Your Computer

Hi guys,

I started this thread to help everyone wanting a new computer. All you need to do is post the following:

usage:

other miscellaneous requirements:

*If to be used for gaming,. please indicate the games you wish to play.

The prices i will be using are those that come from major shops in gilmore and also PCexpress and others... The prices will only reflect that of which on the date of my post.

also please put your requests in this format:

How to get to Gilmore:
commuting... From EDSA get on the MRT to Cubao and take the other train and get off at Gilmore station. so easy.
driving... Via aurora is the easiest way from EDSA. anyway, just ask na lang cos i dunno where you'll be coming from.

Hi. Please help me buy a computer for my son. He will be using it mainly for school and some games. He likes to play Dota and L4D. Our budget for the PC would be 20K. We already have a printer, monitor and speakers. Our monitor is a 17" CRT monitor. My son said he prefers 1gb video card.

di ko alam kung anung Mobo and other parts,nid ko sya pang COD4 games at photoshop,

budget ko hangang 35K lang. :yipee:

Sana Matulungan nyo ako...Pde nyo din po ako bigyan ng others specs..

Pde po bang Magpagawa na AMD ang processor.for Gaming COD4.

Sir pde mo po bang isama sa 35k pati LCD? kahit di na kagandahan ung casing at wala n po bang ibaba ung PSU? mag run po ba ng smooth ung call of duty 4 dito sa specs na toh? San po ako sa gilmore bibili ? anung shop po recommend nyo?

Magrurun ng smooth lahat ng games dito, BUT will depend on the monitor resolution that you're playing. Monitors 17"-20" (1280x1024 resolution) smooth yan kahit high settings, even on 1650x1080/1920x1080 resolutions (22"-24")

i suggest na lang, change the graphics card (but still can play games at high settings sa ibibigay kong monitor) and change the processor to AMD Athlon II X4 and change the motherboard, rather than sacrificing the PSU

try to go at PC Hub sa Girlmore, diyan ako ngbabase ng prices

kaw nlng pla bahala if anu yung gusto mong mouse and keyboard. .additional accessories like headset, kaw na rin bhla. .and if pwede rin, mag avr/surge suppressor incase of voltage spikes /no1

the 2 hidden cores of phenom 550 were unlocked and stabled @ 3.72 CPS.

Phenom II 550 is a dual core processor. By any chance, the cores were been unlocked.

Ka-Symb, may question ako sana matulungan niyo ako.
Bumili kasi ako ng 2nd na GeForce FX5500, sbi niya AGP 8x 256mb at 128bit daw yun.
Pero nung gumamit ako ng CPU-Z at dxdiag eh 256mb lang ang nakalagay wlang 128bit. Hindi kaya naloko ako 265mb/32 bit lang ito? Pls. see my attached pictures for your references.

Tsaka bakit ganun hindi na need ng driver? ang alam ko may driver dapat diba?

May ganyan ako PC bali ang ginawa ko lang nag2GB ako na RAM tapos GeForce FX5500 256mb/128 na Video card. dagdag bilis din kung SATA hard disk mo.

May P4, 80gb ide hard disk, 2GB ram, 256mb/128 video card ako. ok naman sa dota and sf wala akong problema.
