[ADVISE] Help in Assembling/Building/Choosing/Upgrading Your Computer

Hi guys,

I started this thread to help everyone wanting a new computer. All you need to do is post the following:

usage:

other miscellaneous requirements:

*If to be used for gaming,. please indicate the games you wish to play.

The prices i will be using are those that come from major shops in gilmore and also PCexpress and others... The prices will only reflect that of which on the date of my post.

also please put your requests in this format:

How to get to Gilmore:
commuting... From EDSA get on the MRT to Cubao and take the other train and get off at Gilmore station. so easy.
driving... Via aurora is the easiest way from EDSA. anyway, just ask na lang cos i dunno where you'll be coming from.

Hi. Please help me buy a computer for my son. He will be using it mainly for school and some games. He likes to play Dota and L4D. Our budget for the PC would be 20K. We already have a printer, monitor and speakers. Our monitor is a 17" CRT monitor. My son said he prefers 1gb video card.

- it really depends on the batch number of the processor you're going to buy .. some are unlockable and some are not it is not a 100% thing ... some mobo's are better in unlocking cores ..
- I suggest why not just buy a true quad core if budget permits because unlocked cores are unstable , cost more power .. etc.

Meron na rin akong CRT monitor: AOC 771S
Speakers: Philips 2.1

**Gusto ko po sanang mag-upgrade ng mobo at processor. Madalas kong gamitin PC ko for:
Image Processing;
Audio/Video Editing;
konting games like Generals, DoTA, Torchlight, NFSundrground2;
at programming na rin.

Hingi sana ako ng advice na sa tingin nyong best sa unit ko at for my needs na rin. At kung ano pang mga dapat kong palitan sa set-up ng unit ko.
btw, medyo maliit budget ko. Sabihin na lng nating mga 4k/mo. So, kung sakali, di ako makakabi ng mobo at processor ng sabay. Tanong ko na rin kung anong unahin na bibilhin. TIA.

good pa naman VC nyo sir kung dota at generals lang kakain lang ng malaki ang image at video editing. suggest ko palit ka muna processor, motherboard at ram. kukulangin sa 4k boss di mu magagamit yan kung paisa isa lang bibilhin mu, papalitan natin ng processor mo syempre damay socket ng mobo mo kaya palit din as well as socket din ng ram natin. pwede naman paisa isa muna mabili mo pero habang di pa buo gamitin mo muna yang old pc mu. :salute:

- yun lng bang 2 ang pwedeng mong pagpilian?
- ako ecs ako di ko pa natatry ang foxconn .. remember at least 3 years mong gagamitin mobo so pagisipan mong mabuti ... sa processor naman sir kahit mag athlon x3-x4 ka na lng kesa magunlock ka pa... kung phenom talaga gusto mo kahit ung phenom x4 840 , wala nga lng l3 cache almost same price ng athlonx4 ...

IGP 4250 you can play games nba2k11 , l4d , prototype even crysis and crysis warhead on low settings. online games would definitely be playable

dual core lng talaga yan pero dahil sa hyperthreading macoconsider mo na syang quadcore
parang 2 virtual cores dahil sa hyperthreading ..

sa AMD lng ung unlocking cores sir ..
- bulldozer was delayed last week of july - september ,,... still di pa rin natin sure .. sana di na madelayed kasi nilalampaso ng sandy bridge and AMD builds sa ngayon ... power efficient na mas mabilis pa ang intel at this point of time ...

hayy sana makabawi na ang redteam ko ... hehehhe
