[ADVISE] Help in Assembling/Building/Choosing/Upgrading Your Computer

Hi guys,

I started this thread to help everyone wanting a new computer. All you need to do is post the following:

budget:
usage:

other miscellaneous requirements:

*If to be used for gaming,. please indicate the games you wish to play.


The prices i will be using are those that come from major shops in gilmore and also PCexpress and others... The prices will only reflect that of which on the date of my post.


also please put your requests in this format:

How to get to Gilmore:
commuting... From EDSA get on the MRT to Cubao and take the other train and get off at Gilmore station. so easy.
driving... Via aurora is the easiest way from EDSA. anyway, just ask na lang cos i dunno where you'll be coming from.

Hi. Please help me buy a computer for my son. He will be using it mainly for school and some games. He likes to play Dota and L4D. Our budget for the PC would be 20K. We already have a printer, monitor and speakers. Our monitor is a 17" CRT monitor. My son said he prefers 1gb video card.

bro sensya na di ko kasi masasabi na maganda ang mga generic lalo na pagdating sa usapan ng voltage.
pero try mo din maghanap ng generic na may 8 socket then circuit breaker.

bro ang alam ko kase pag ang board mo eh running sa DDR3 pwede sya ng DDR2 and DDR3 na VCARD.

sa case mo naman nag search ako.... GOODNEWS you can run ddr3 videocard to your ddr2 mobo as long as your PSU can handle your card...

AMD athlon II x2 can run in ddr3 system bro mas mura kasi yun kesa sa rig na ddr2...pero may mga mobo that can run DDR2/DDR3 example lang yun MSI, asrock and sa gigabyte...ask mo nalang bro pag bumili ka.

e2 Asrock 890gx pro3?

Dont go with MSI 880GMA-e45
since there are reports of 'not-so-called' military class ang mga components.

Ill wait for the BD boards aka 990/980 boards to come out.

Actually they are available now..

Guys anu at para san ang GPU???

Ideally, GPU nowadays is important. As the software evolves, mas nagiging gpu-dependant na ang mga software. e.g.: Adobe Flash(see always update), Games that are gpu-intensive.

Actually a quad-core is sufficient sa daily task. Mas maganda mas malakas ang GPU.

Bottleneck eto. You can stick to 6790 @ Sapphire -- P6380 or Powercolor -- P5850

For the case, gandahan mo nalang ang case instead of this Elite, kasi manipis ang bakal nito. Kuha ka ng makapal na bakal na.

For the case, gandahan mo nalang ang case instead of this Elite, kasi manipis ang bakal nito. Kuha ka ng makapal na bakal na.

+1 kay sir villain_allain, yung non ti version pwede pa. 6790 ok na rin for your needs , ang 5850 wala ka ng makikita sa market 2nd hand siguro worth 5k ok na ....

Kasi yun ung sabi sakin nung lalaki na tinanungan ko sa gilmore , sa pchub un to be specific .

Mas maganda daw kung bibili nalang daw ako ng tower .

pa advise naman po ng magandang casing worth 1.5k w/o psu at micro atx form factor.
Yung black po at maangas yung style .

sure po ba kayo dun sir? kasi yun yun sinabi sakin e , sabi pa nia na pasadya raw yung gantong chassis na may psu.
Nga pala nung binili ko casing with 500w psu na po siya.
Paki check naman po sa net yung chassis ko TOMMADE TC800 tas pakitignan po kung kakasya ba dito yung psu na hec 500w at vc na powercolor.

karamihan sa branded psu same size lang ng generic.. pero meron din mas malaki.. tulad ng XFX PSU mas mahaba sila ng konti at ang mga 700w pataas kadalasan mas mahaba sila..
yung sinabing kailangan mong magpalit ng case.. marketing strategy niya lang yun para bumili ka sakanila ng case kung ok pa case mo sa ngayon save kana muna para sa ibang piyesa.. pero kung may budget kana bili kana new case.. importante din kasi dahil sa airflow..

by august pa siguro ako makakabibili ng vc .
Nagadvise na sakin si sir acidbiscuit kaso natabunan na ng ibang post, hanapin ko nalang mamaya . 5k budget ko for VC.

Problem ko lang kc now ung pc ko ngayon sira yung psu .
And yung casing maliit lang eto yung size.

100% sure po ba kayo dun sa size ng psu na hec kakasya sa casing ko?
