[ADVISE] Help in Assembling/Building/Choosing/Upgrading Your Computer

Hi guys,

I started this thread to help everyone wanting a new computer. All you need to do is post the following:

other miscellaneous requirements:

*If to be used for gaming,. please indicate the games you wish to play.

The prices i will be using are those that come from major shops in gilmore and also PCexpress and others... The prices will only reflect that of which on the date of my post.

How to get to Gilmore:
commuting... From EDSA get on the MRT to Cubao and take the other train and get off at Gilmore station. so easy.
driving... Via aurora is the easiest way from EDSA. anyway, just ask na lang cos i dunno where you'll be coming from.

Hi. Please help me buy a computer for my son. He will be using it mainly for school and some games. He likes to play Dota and L4D. Our budget for the PC would be 20K. We already have a printer, monitor and speakers. Our monitor is a 17" CRT monitor. My son said he prefers 1gb video card.

anyway eto pang gaming..

mobo: Asrock N68-S3 UCC PHP 1950.00
processor: AMD Athlon II X3 440 3.0 ghz PHP 3200.00
vcard: Sapphire HD 6770 1gb/128bit ddr5 PHP 5300.00

total: PHP 10450

malakas na yan sa gaming... sapat na para sa 19inch na monitor.. but be sure na ddr3 na ang mga rams mo at dapat ang psu mo true rated na..

la ka naman dapat ikaalala since hindi naman mag oover sa limit ng voltage regulation mo yung specs na bubuoin mo para 550w na psu.as long as hindi stress out yung psu mo dun sa required wattage ng system mo, malayo ka sa issue. tsaka di natin masabi na lahat kasi alam ko by batch lang yung ganun, yung sakin ayus naman.

yung sa review kasi nung 700w may issue sa voltage regulation, "Starting at 560 W, voltages got outside their allowed range, what can make your computer behave erratically. nag conduct sila ng test ibig sabihin hindi recommend sa 700w kung tataas kapa sa 560w ang buong system wattage mo.maari itong sumabog or makasira ng mga hardwares mo.

salamat sa info. boss!, may specific model naman pala yung may issue i hope by batch nga lang, di affected lahat.

salamat po sa payo mga bossing (mrleix_gt at bro_mamen)! so, sir mrleix_gt, wala pong problema ang inadvise ninyong psu sa akin? ayos! anyway, gusto ko lang po itanong kung ano ang kaibahan nung binigay ninyong build sa binigay ni sir bro_mamen (bukod sa difference in proce and other parts) in terms of performance? ano pong mas matindi sa dalawang 'yon?

you can go to 2500k if you want. choose your own atx case. just remember airflow.

Sandy bridge is the best option sir mas malakas talaga kesa sa current AMD built

i52400 or better yet i52500k ...

@bromamen, wla po ak0ng videocard n bibilin built-in lang po ng asrock 880g LM, bali ito lang po ang mggng hardware ko:

processor,m0bo,ram,hdd, yan lang pn, short budget na for dvdrw... Sguro po ok naman ang 600w generic ng ori0n???

not ok for a generic psu. generic psu if wala ka videocard. ok lang. pero ung efficiency nya is 50% lang.

sayang din ang 30% na tinatapon na power.

mura nalang din naman ang decent psu nowadays.

just dont go with sli or crossfire. and dont oc much your procie and gpu.

a gaming pc runs only at 300w.

anyhow, if you want to sell your psu. you can sell it atleast 3k.
siguro mabilis na un. then buy the antec tp650w @ 3500.

may nabasa ako na pwedeng makadamage sa hardware pag sobrang init. ( correct me if im wrong ) sa generic PSU naman. pag wala kang video card ok yan. pero mas maganda kung tru rated. less worry ka.

maraming salamat, sir villain_allain. actually, ang main concern ko nga po talaga ay ang processor, salamat po sa paglilinaw ng mga bagay.

yung HDD po ba sa build na 'to ay of any capacity na? 'pag gusto ko ng 1TB pwede? at ano pong mas mairerecommend ninyo, HDD na Seagate o WD?

at saka po sa casing, in terms of airflow na minention ninyo, mas okay po ba ang Thermaltake TT V4 sa Aerocool Syvlone II?
