[ADVISE] Help in Assembling/Building/Choosing/Upgrading Your Computer

Hi guys,

I started this thread to help everyone wanting a new computer. All you need to do is post the following:

budget:
usage:

other miscellaneous requirements:

*If to be used for gaming,. please indicate the games you wish to play.


The prices i will be using are those that come from major shops in gilmore and also PCexpress and others... The prices will only reflect that of which on the date of my post.


also please put your requests in this format:

How to get to Gilmore:
commuting... From EDSA get on the MRT to Cubao and take the other train and get off at Gilmore station. so easy.
driving... Via aurora is the easiest way from EDSA. anyway, just ask na lang cos i dunno where you'll be coming from.

Hi. Please help me buy a computer for my son. He will be using it mainly for school and some games. He likes to play Dota and L4D. Our budget for the PC would be 20K. We already have a printer, monitor and speakers. Our monitor is a 17" CRT monitor. My son said he prefers 1gb video card.

1.) gusto ko po kc bilhan ng dedicated video card ung laptop ko...
ASUS X42F, Core i3 2.53Ghz, 3GB DDR3 RAM, 500GB HDD...
magkano po kaya ung video card niya kahit mga 1GB or 2GB lang?..
ung budget friendly lang po sna na magandang video card?....

2.) at kung ibenta ko na lang po kaya siya as is at mag set up n lng ako ng desktop,
magkano po kaya price neto?...
in advance...

4 me, benta na lang then rig ka, maganda mga labas na videocard ngaun

Di ka naman required mag i3 to play the latest games on max or decent FPS. This build is basically an i3 without the hyper threading.

MOBA & RTS games such as Dota 2/LoL/ HoN/SC2 for example can be maxed out on this rig depende nalang sa native resolution na pinaglalaruan mo.

Air Cooler:
- CM Hyper 212 EVO
- Noctua NH-D14

Closed Loop Water Cooler:
- Antec Kuhler 620
- Corsair Hydro H80

Corsair Hydro H100 naman kung malaki space para sa radiator nito.

Noctua NH-D14 vs Corsair Hydro H100 halos same temps lang pero malaki difference sa presyo.

Sir help naman po kung ano kailangan ko upgrade sa computer ko. Di kasi ako masyado maalam sa hardwares. Yung comp ko po is Asus na mini.

Dual core E5800 @3.2gHz
2gb Ram
Intel G33/G31 Express Chipset Family
DiskDrive ST3500418AS ATA Device.

Corsair Hydro H100 naman kung malaki space para sa radiator nito.

Recommended pa rin ba mag avr? xD. wala pa pala ako nun sa list ng bibilhin. hehe. ano maganda brand ng avr? or magtanong na lang din siguro ako sa pchub maya. umabsent pa ako ngaun para lng bumili ng comp.

Ang masama nito nawawala CD ko ng OS. xD. Manghihiram pa 2loy. haha.

Ask ko lng. pano pala mga drivers nung mga nakainstall sa brand new na comp. kelangan pa idownload?

pano ung usb port? may driver din ba un? xenxa tanga lang

not exactly sure about a good brand of avr that would be of much help, wait nlng ntin mga master dito.

mangyayari nian yung store na mismo mag aassemble niyan, tpos ikaw mag iinstall ng OS since bawal ang mga store mag install ng fake OS. as for the drivers, may cd na included ung mobo, gpu, pti odd. basically, just install them and your set. pag may bagong update ung drivers, that's the time mag dodownload ka.

about sa OS, pwede ka magpainstall ng trial windows 7 sa kanila then gamitan mo na lang ng windows anytime updgrade (not sure kung eto yung term pero parang ganyan), search mo lang dito sa symb yan.. tapos i-crack mo na lang.. para di ka na manghiram

sa PCHub SM Fairview kasi ako bumili nun at nagpainstall ako ng trial OS to test kung working ang unit pagka-assemble nila..

about sa drivers, may kasamang CD ang motherboard mo.. sa USB port naman, kung USB 2.0, OS na ang magiinstall ng driver at kung USB 3.0 meron din yung sa CD ng motherboard mo..

Guys tanong lang .. baka alam nyo ung ODD na pede din mag lagay ng label sa mismong CD/DVD ... yung physical ata un .. parang lalagyan ng pangalan un CD mismo .. para alam kung sino gumawa matagal ko na kasi hinahanap un ganun hindi ko lang alam un tawag..

aun kakauwi lng from pc hub gilmore. xD set up ko n lng tom at installan ng OS pag nakahiram ako. kahit mejo maliit p lng table ko, by sat or friday ako bili ng comp table. xD

advisable pa ba comp tables na nabibili sa mga shop sa sm? hehe

free assemble na kahit ung video card hindi ko sa kanila nabili kasi nag out of stock. xD
