I started this thread to help everyone wanting a new computer. All you need to do is post the following:

budget:
usage:

other miscellaneous requirements:

*If to be used for gaming,. please indicate the games you wish to play.


The prices i will be using are those that come from major shops in gilmore and also PCexpress and others... The prices will only reflect that of which on the date of my post.

How to get to Gilmore:
commuting... From EDSA get on the MRT to Cubao and take the other train and get off at Gilmore station. so easy.
driving... Via aurora is the easiest way from EDSA. anyway, just ask na lang cos i dunno where you'll be coming from.

Hi. Please help me buy a computer for my son. He will be using it mainly for school and some games. He likes to play Dota and L4D. Our budget for the PC would be 20K. We already have a printer, monitor and speakers. Our monitor is a 17" CRT monitor. My son said he prefers 1gb video card.

Mga Sir,

need to buy a new PC but unfortunately limited ang budget to P12,000.

Main use ng PC is internet browsing, MS Office and skype/YM Videochat.

Someone is offering this package for 12k

Core 2 duo 3.16 ghz
4gb RAM
500 GB Harddisk
18" LCD (Acer)


I know P12k is a very tight budget but of course I still hope I can get the most of my budget.

any advise po on what should i ask, make sure or know before proceeding with a purchase is greatly appreciated.

hello mga ka symbianize, pa setup po ako gaming rig again.

yung gaming rig po, mainly going to be used for online gaming (battlefield 3, starcraft 2, diablo 3, dota 2, planetside 2, blacklight: retribution, etc.)

meron na po akong monitor and other peripherals (mouse, speakers, keyboard etc.) so basically its just the rig.

Budget is 20-22k.

Another is the same purpose although wala pang monitor.
Budget is 28-30k

Any store po whether it be Gilmore or within QC, Manila area po. salamat.

good morning! pa set-up naman po ng PC para sa kasama ko sa work...

will be mainly used for word processing, internet, light games lang...

may monitor na sya, budget is 15K (preferrably with intel i3 or i5 and 8 GB na RAM kung kakayanin)

gusto ko po sana bumili ng vcard ano po kaya maganda

mga sir pahelp naman po, yung PC ko kasi bigla nalang nag hahang at nagrerestart after akong magdagdag ng bagong RAM stick 2gb 800mhz the same brand and spec lang sa old na ram stick ko.. pag yung isa lang ang isasaksak ko working naman walang problema... ganun din naman yung isa pag pinagswaswap ko.. pero pag pinagsabay ko na silang dalawa... after 3 mins dilubyo na ang nangyayari... nag rerestart na o kaya hindi naman nag hahahang yung motherboard naman nakalagay expandable to yung memory slot 16gb... bakit po ganun?? ... advice naman po please! ASAP! THANKS in ADVANCE

Crossfire = dalawang ATI Video Cards ang gagamitin mo sa isang rig. Pag dalawang Nvidia Video Cards naman eh SLI ang tawag dun.

GPU = Graphics Processing Unit. More commonly known as Video Card

APU = Accelerated Processing Unit. Tulad ng gamit nyo, yan po ung mga processor na gawa ng Radeon na may accelerated capabilities in short mas better ang integrated GPU nya kesa sa regular CPU's. Tulad ng A4, A6, at A8

Discreet GPU = not built in or separated, un ung mga aftermarket na binibili / hindi built in sa unit. Like Nvidia GTX 560, HD 7750, etc.

Pag built-in naman ang tawag dun eh Integrated GPU.

P.S.
Kung may mga tanong pa po kayo, always remember "Google is your friend"

... Ang AMD A8-3870k - tawag dyan APU . May built in video card yan na HD 6550 D . Then yong discreet GPU - ito yong hiwalay na video card . Pag ang discreet GPU mo ay HD 6670 , pwede ito crossfire sa built in video card ng AMD A8-3870k. That means pagsasamahin mo ang dalawang video na yan para lalong maganda performance...

@ benkryne89 =madami ka pagpipilian pero isa sa mga nirecommend sakin is PC quickbuys at Roxas St. along Ateneo. Punta din ako dun soon. Also check David kiang at FB. Davao based rin sya.

for office use pero sana medyo upgrade proof with in 2 years or more kung puede

-sa bahay lng po ako,hindi po ako naka aircon
-hard gamer
if possible po sa budget, prefer kopo sana AMD.
-makakatulong po kung malagyan nyo ng price para po naman may idea ako kung sobra or kulang yung budget
sa desired rig ko. Salamat po.
