Hi guys,

I started this thread to help everyone wanting a new computer. All you need to do is post the following:
Code:
budget:
usage:

other miscellaneous requirements:

*If to be used for gaming,. please indicate the games you wish to play.

The prices i will be using are those that come from major shops in gilmore and also PCexpress and others... The prices will only reflect that of which on the date of my post.

also please put your requests in this format:

Processor:
Motherboard:
RAM:

Video Card:

Hard Drive:
Optical Drive:

Power Supply:
Casing:

monitor:

Accessories:

please indicate (at least)the size of the hard disk desired, and also what you need/have/prefer.

Thanks.

How to get to Gilmore:
commuting... From EDSA get on the MRT to Cubao and take the other train and get off at Gilmore station. so easy.
driving... Via aurora is the easiest way from EDSA. anyway, just ask na lang cos i dunno where you'll be coming from.

An example post would be as follows:
Hi. Please help me buy a computer for my son. He will be using it mainly for school and some games. He likes to play Dota and L4D. Our budget for the PC would be 20K. We already have a printer, monitor and speakers. Our monitor is a 17" CRT monitor. My son said he prefers 1gb video card.

Thank you.

Re: [ADVISE]Help you build/choose a Computer

been reading (watching) some stuff comparing X99 (haswell refresh) vs Z170 (skylake) chipsets
well... para naman to sa mga enthusiast (mayayaman) but i'll share anyway :giggle:
Z170 and skylake i7 6700k (4-4.2ghz,4 cores, 8 threads) beats X99 and i7 5820k (3.3-3.6ghz, 6 cores, 12 threads) on single core performance because of its higher clock speed. meron pang 5960x (8 cores, 16 threads) pero mas mababa ang single core performance running at 3-3.5ghz
X99 has more PCIE lanes support (up to 4 GPU na pwede SLI/Xfire) vs Z170... X99 also has 28 vs 20 PCIE lanes (except for 5930k and 5960x which has 40 lanes)
since mas maraming core ang 5820k (and other 5xxx based i7), it's a fact that they'll deliver better multi-core performance score against skylake cpu's
Z170 has native support for USB 3.1 and built-in USB type C

Re: [ADVISE]Help you build/choose a Computer

i'll keep that in mind sir:thumbsup: pro yung sa mobo, procie, ram, gpu wala nman po bottleneck?

MOBO: Asus B85M-Gamer -
HDD: WDC Caviar Blue 1tb -
RAM: G.Skill RipJaws X (Dual) 2x4gb ddr3 1866 CL9 -

CASING: Tecware Carbon USB3.0 -

good day po mga sir. tanong ko lang sana kung may hindi ba compatible sa mga parts na to?

Re: [ADVISE]Help you build/choose a Computer

looks like it doesn't need the video card. I generally thought video rendering requires a decent video card. it meets the needs for the cpu but the gpu is overkill. let me see if I can find an onboard chipset to pair it with an fx8.

edit: I did a little digging and it seems my initial thought is correct gpu > cpu > ssd > ram. better ask your friend whats important.

tinanung din po pla nya what if taasan ung procie at gawing fx8 at gawing 1tb ung hard disk nya.... kano kaya aabuti??

Good day, mga Master :praise: Patulong naman po mag-build ng PC. Eto po yung details:

budget: P 30 to 35k
usage: gaming (yung pwede sana i-play most of the games in medium to high settings), programming (for studying programming and developing applications), online work (so medyo mga 10 to 15 hours a day ko sya gagamitin)

other miscellaneous requirements:

Processor: mas prefer ko AMD
Motherboard: any
RAM: any

Video Card: AMD parin  (Sapphire or MSI if possible)

Optical Drive: any

Power Supply: any
Casing: any

first, ask if the gpu is necessary. that's php7k. could easily get an fx8 with that budget. if he doesn't need a dgpu, maybe up to php25k or so. so he has to know for sure if a dgpu is not necessary nor its performance boost is negligible.

Re: [ADVISE]Help you build/choose a Computer

from the specs of the asus strix r7 370, it has up to 4 interfaces. 1x dvi-I, 1x dvi-d, 1x hdmi and 1x dp.

if you want, you can have the build vheryoness posted at #21502959. it has an fx8 but again, ask your friend if the application he is using will utilize all 8 cores. it also has a better psu. the vs550 is fine as I know someone who has fx6300 + r9 380 4gb using this. so far he's not having any problem. the motherboard is also better. it has more chokes and heatsinks on mosfets. plus a 970 chipset which may come in handy when you need sata3 and more usb3.

that's why, if the gpu isn't necessary, get rid of it. if you can afford the budget for vheryoness' build, then go for it.

to change my original suggestion in combination with vher's:

mobo: msi 970 gaming php4750

cpu: fx8320e php5950

hdd: 1tb php2500

total: php26,009

I dont think she will go beyond 26k... and also does the given fx8 was an overkill since she will use it only in photo and video editing....

or is it still good to go for fx8 for future proof???

more cores is better with dx12 codes. application code maybe is a gamble. almost everyone dumps on the first core so single core performance is prioritized. devs got spoiled by intel. as of now, it still boils down to the apps.

kung triple monitor setup using AMD GPU, at least 1 monitor should be using the display port. kahit dual GPU ka pa in xfire, kelangan 1 monitor nakakabit sa DP
kahit gamitan mo lang ng adapter ng DP-DVI or DP-HDMI, as long na nakakabit ang isang monitor sa DP
otherwise, 2 of 3 lang pwede mo activate na display at a time

Re: [ADVISE]Help you build/choose a Computer

by the way, if you want to go cheaper, change the mobo to gigabyte ga 970a ds3p which is php3850. save 900php from msi 970 gaming.

edit: needs bios f2j to fully support fx8320e

:thanks: :thanks: mga sir....

finalized ko lang ung setup...

cpu: fx8320e php5950

gpu: r7 370 2gb php6999

ram: gskill ripjaws x 1866 8gb dual cas9 php2700

mobo: gigabyte ga 970a ds3p which is php3850

psu: corsair vs550 php2180

hdd: 1tb php2500

case: enermax clypeus php930

total: 25109

tama po ba??? ung sa HDD p, WD pa dn po ba gagamitin q??

yung sa hdd, either wd or seagate, halos parehas lang quality nyan.

yung sa case, mukhang iba yung nasa picture na pinost ng easypc. shu shunga shunga na naman ang easypc. buti nabasa ko yung comment. fullmo pala yung nasa picture which is php2150. eto yung clipeus http://www.enermax.com/home.php?fn=eng/product_a1_1_1&lv0=2&lv1=9&no=211. compatibility wise, wala naman problema. pero yung isang model nya walang mesh sa taas. either hanap ka ng iba na pasok sa budget mo or ok na sa yo yan. tip lang, tawagan mo sila bago ka bumili. looks like masama ang customer service nitong easypc. slogan pa naman nila "we can compete with their prices but they cant compete with our service." parang politiko lang na nang uuto ng botante

Thanks sa very speedy reply, Master vheryoness.
