Hi guys,

I started this thread to help everyone wanting a new computer. All you need to do is post the following:
Code:
budget:
usage:

other miscellaneous requirements:

*If to be used for gaming,. please indicate the games you wish to play.

The prices i will be using are those that come from major shops in gilmore and also PCexpress and others... The prices will only reflect that of which on the date of my post.

also please put your requests in this format:

Processor:
Motherboard:
RAM:

Video Card:

Hard Drive:
Optical Drive:

Power Supply:
Casing:

monitor:

Accessories:

please indicate (at least)the size of the hard disk desired, and also what you need/have/prefer.

Thanks.

How to get to Gilmore:
commuting... From EDSA get on the MRT to Cubao and take the other train and get off at Gilmore station. so easy.
driving... Via aurora is the easiest way from EDSA. anyway, just ask na lang cos i dunno where you'll be coming from.

An example post would be as follows:
Hi. Please help me buy a computer for my son. He will be using it mainly for school and some games. He likes to play Dota and L4D. Our budget for the PC would be 20K. We already have a printer, monitor and speakers. Our monitor is a 17" CRT monitor. My son said he prefers 1gb video card.

Thank you.

http://i.ebayimg.com/images/g/J~AAAMXQHeBSDrQ4/s-l1600.jpg

tatlong 4 pins tapos dalawang 3 pins

so yung 4 pins lang pwede maadjust fan speed?

- - - Updated - - -

Aditional noob question,
Why choose true rated/ branded psu compare sa generic psu ?
Never ko pa kasi naexperience gumamit ng branded psu. Ano pagkakaiba nila

Random tip lang sir: Try using speedfan for controlling your case/cpu fans.

By a "true Rated" I assume you mean a quality branded power supply with a bronze/silver/gold rating?

Typically a "rated" PSU uses better components and are more reliable.

Generic PSU's often use cheaper components, can be a little less than truthful of about their actually capability (pretend they are more powerful than they really are) and sometimes do not included some safety features like over voltage protection. They also generally lack build quality or Quality assurance.

Higher quality PSU's are generally more accurate about their capabilities (even underrate there capability), include over voltage protection. Over voltage protection is very important in case a PSU blows up. It does not allow excess currents to flow through to damage other components like motherboards, CPUS, GPU'S and Hard drives. With out over voltage protection the excess current runs right through your system.

It all depends on what you plan to use the PC for. If it's for a high load, gaming, overclocking machine etc - generic power supplies can be potentially ruin your entire system. They are a gamble.

If it's just for a low end desktop used for browsing, word processing etc then you can get a way with a generic PSU as long as you go nowhere near it's limits.

Some generic power supplies will "do the job" - others are a time bomb waiting to happen.
