[ADVISE] Help in Assembling/Building/Choosing/Upgrading Your Computer

Hi guys,

I started this thread to help everyone wanting a new computer. All you need to do is post the following:

The prices i will be using are those that come from major shops in gilmore and also PCexpress and others... The prices will only reflect that of which on the date of my post.

How to get to Gilmore:
commuting... From EDSA get on the MRT to Cubao and take the other train and get off at Gilmore station. so easy.
driving... Via aurora is the easiest way from EDSA. anyway, just ask na lang cos i dunno where you'll be coming from.

kabylake 7700k barely has 15% better performance than your current cpu.
sayang lang at hindi Z97 mobo mo at hindi ka makakapag-overclock
GPU mo is dated... pwede mo nga lagyan ng 1080ti yan at walang problema.

SSD nowadays is highly recommended if not a necessity. it maybe is the best upgrade you can have on your system. it gives better overall system responsiveness.
water cooling is not practical and not recommended... since hindi ka naka-Z97 which means hindi mo magagamit ang overclocking capability ng CPU mo.
pero you can instead opt for a cheaper cryorig H7 or cooler master hyper 212 which costs less than 2k. these 2 can bring your cpu temps down to around 60°C even at 100% CPU load.

kabibili ko lang po kasi ng GTX 1060 6Gb, hindi po ba ako magsisisi pag binenta ko to 'to then bumili ng RX 580 8Gb?

Fellow Symbian ask lang po ng CPU build 2017 for "Office Document technical tasks Build" na kaya po mag run ng smooth Win 7/10 at latest MS office Tools na sobrang budget friendly at kayang tumagal ng katagal tagal hehehe

, 1 Tb HDD at 4gb RAM oks na po ba yun for Office tasks purpose?

pag gumamit ka ng generic power supply, para kang nag-sugal kung gaano katagal ang itatagal nyan eh
ang masama pa, pag bumigay, baka mandamay pa ng ibang piyesa mo...
kaya, don't cheap out on your PSU... besides, pag nag-upgrade ka, pwede mong gamitin ulit yun.

panalo na yan... sa cpu at RAM pa lang, bawi ka na... bale libreng mobo ka na nyan.

its basically just a "sidegrade" instead of an upgrade
kung gusto mo ng mas malakas sa 1060, mag 1070 or the upcoming rx vega ka na lang kesa sa rx580...
the rx580 is still just marginally better or on par with a 1060 6gb depending on the game

Hello mga sir, i dusted off my 3 year old rig. Anung video card kaya ok for Dota 2? Okay na kaya yung bagong GT 1030 or 2nd-hand GTX 750 ti? Budget is 3-4k.

Gusto ko po sanang bumili ng dedicated video card pati palitan po sana yung HDD, kinakapos na rin po kasi for gaming (Dota 2), 3D modeling and rendering, AutoCAD & Revit po yung usage ko. Anong specs po mairerecommend niyo sakin sa budget po na 10k?

lamang pa rin ang 1050 eh :noidea:

pero pag dx12, ang rx460/560 tulad ng higher end siblings nya, either lamang or humahabol sya sa performance ng 1050

unfortunately, AMD ang mobo mo kaya di ka pwede maglagay ng intel CPU dyan. FM2/FM2+ CPU ang pwede mo ilagay dyan.

if revit is main purpose, id rather get more ram. 8gb is very small, minus the shared ram for the igp. gpu acceleration isnt a big deal nor increase performance that much. youll only probably notice it because it will load into vram. not sure what version you have but maybe the latest ones have been updated with better gpu acceleration. youll probably wont even notice it with ssd.

Help po. Average gaming pc po sana yung atleast 90-120fps sa Dota2 with the HIGHEST SETTINGS or kung possible sa budget na consistent 120fps.
Budget = 10-12k for system unit only
Preffered cpu = intel
