Hi guys,

I started this thread to help everyone wanting a new computer. All you need to do is post the following:
Code:
budget:
usage:

other miscellaneous requirements:

*If to be used for gaming,. please indicate the games you wish to play.

The prices i will be using are those that come from major shops in gilmore and also PCexpress and others... The prices will only reflect that of which on the date of my post.

also please put your requests in this format:

Processor:
Motherboard:
RAM:

Video Card:

Hard Drive:
Optical Drive:

Power Supply:
Casing:

monitor:

Accessories:

please indicate (at least)the size of the hard disk desired, and also what you need/have/prefer.

Thanks.

How to get to Gilmore:
commuting... From EDSA get on the MRT to Cubao and take the other train and get off at Gilmore station. so easy.
driving... Via aurora is the easiest way from EDSA. anyway, just ask na lang cos i dunno where you'll be coming from.

An example post would be as follows:
Hi. Please help me buy a computer for my son. He will be using it mainly for school and some games. He likes to play Dota and L4D. Our budget for the PC would be 20K. We already have a printer, monitor and speakers. Our monitor is a 17" CRT monitor. My son said he prefers 1gb video card.

Thank you.

Current CPU: AMD Trinity A10-5800K 3.80GHz HD7660 X4 Processor

Motherboard: ASROCK FM2A85X EXTREME4-M

Planning palang ako sa pag build ng sariling PC ko and it's my first time. Hehehe. Mostly for Gaming and rendering. Please see details below.

MOBO: Gigabyte GA-B250M-GAMING 5
CPU: Intel Core i5-7400 3.0-3.5 Ghz 4-core Kabylake Processor
GPU: Palit GTX 1050 Ti Dual OC 4GB Gddr5
RAM: GSkill Ripjaws 4 16GB 4x4GB DDR4 2400 (F4-2400C15Q-16GRB) <-- di ako sure dito :]/
SSD: Kingston UV400 240GB 2.5 Inches Sata III
HDD: May existing na ko
PSU: Aerocool Strike-X 600w PSU 80Plus Bronze <--eto rin di ako sure
CHASIS: Sharkoon VS4-W
MONITOR: Philips 227E7QDSB 21.5″ AH-IPS WLED

About sa total price basta di sosobra ng 45k. Thanks in advance! :hat:

pwede naman siguro sir kahit 8GB lang ang ram, kasi po based on experience sa gaming, di ko pa na max-out ang 8gb(Metal Gear Solid 5/max setting, Tales of Berseria/max setting, Homeworld: Deserts of Kharak/max setting, Ultimate Epic Battle Simulator/max setting with 20000 units) and sa rendering naman, although AutoCAD 2012 lang ang gamit ko, reasonable naman ang render time nya on a 30mb 3D file.

At yan din po ang mobo ko(GA B250M GAMING 5), and so far, so good...

sa PSU po lagi nilang suggest is seasonic, M12II or S12...

Like visual studio 2014(if im not wrong) Netbins, blue J, Photoshop, mga video editor, mga macomedia.

LGA 2011-3 yung mobo, yung processor LGA 1151 tapos last gen skylake pa. merong 7700k if you want faster clock speeds.
pwedeng mobo na lang palitan mo para mas mura (Z270) or pwede kang palit ng cpu to 6800k (or better)... pero i would rather recommend a ryzen 1700 build instead an x99 for the better price to performance ratio with 8 cores/16 threads against the 6800k na 6c/12t lang.
tapos wala ka pang CPU cooler. get an AIO liquid cooler from corsair, nzxt, thermaltake, deepcool, etc. you won't go wrong with any of them as long na 240mm ang radiator or bigger.
HDD: if you are into video editing, kulang 1tb. go for at least 2tb
PSU: seasonic G-750, FSP Aurum 750w, EVGA 750GQ, Corsair RM750. puro gold rated yan. if you can spend more, pwede ring platinum or titanium rated and with higher power rating. don't get me wrong, baka wala pang 500w ang total load ng system mo, pero and best efficiency ng mga rated na PSU ay around 50% and will save you more on electricity bills in the long run.
GPU: if you can configure your adobe app to use cuda cores, panalo nga yung 1080ti. any brand will do, they differ very little in performance (around 2-3% Δ). meron mga binned or highly rated na models na mas mataas ang overclocking potential pero i don't think their asking price is worth it unless you are into those liquid nitrogen overclockers that want to achieve world records in OC. :noidea: just buy one that looks nice in your system and you won't go wrong with any of them
Case choice is your personal preference. depende sa gusto mong porma.

tapos... here's another dilemma... circulating na ang X299 mobos and the upcoming Skylake-X CPU's which maybe will reach our country early July. heto ang successor ng X99 platform and will perform with higher clock speeds... additional problem would be their price :slap:

is it even worth to mine in Philippines? initial cost of components are more expensive when it gets to Philippines. the monthly cost of electricity is also expensive. theres also the risk of brown out which I heard is really bad for mining.

i just research those stuff kaya alam ko kung anong socket at anong chipsets ang magkatugma
safe na ngayon mag-OC ng mga GPU at CPU. hindi na tulad ng dati at napakaraming safety precautions to avoid toasting them. meron na silang thermal throttling or even shutdown kung sakaling maabot nga yung thermal threshold. meron na rin mga windows based software to help you overclock your system without entering the bios/uefi. meron din silang pre-set overclocking modes that you can just select and leave. besides, i would not recommend running your system in full throttle all the time naman. yung mga panahon lang na nagrerender ka for example. you can maybe cut your render/encoding time by 10-20%.
tapos pahabol sa SSD. better look instead for NVME m.2 SSD, mas mabilis (around 3x or more) kesa sa typical SATA SSD.
RAM... baka pwedeng 32gb or 16gb lang muna... 64gb is too much in my opinion (mid 2017)... :noidea: you'll barely exceed 16gb of usage on daily tasks eh :noidea: tapos napakamahal pa ng mga RAM ngayon.
about ryzen, you only need to replace the processor with a Ryzen 1700 (best bang for the buck 8c/16t CPU) and a B350 or X370 mobo. the rest of the parts above will work the same way... except for the CPU cooler... you just need to make sure na may AM4 mounting bracket yung bibilhin mo.

I live in a condo so wlang power shortage
