Hi guys,

I started this thread to help everyone wanting a new computer. All you need to do is post the following:
Code:
budget:
usage:

other miscellaneous requirements:

*If to be used for gaming,. please indicate the games you wish to play.

The prices i will be using are those that come from major shops in gilmore and also PCexpress and others... The prices will only reflect that of which on the date of my post.

also please put your requests in this format:

Processor:
Motherboard:
RAM:

Video Card:

Hard Drive:
Optical Drive:

Power Supply:
Casing:

monitor:

Accessories:

please indicate (at least)the size of the hard disk desired, and also what you need/have/prefer.

Thanks.

How to get to Gilmore:
commuting... From EDSA get on the MRT to Cubao and take the other train and get off at Gilmore station. so easy.
driving... Via aurora is the easiest way from EDSA. anyway, just ask na lang cos i dunno where you'll be coming from.

An example post would be as follows:
Hi. Please help me buy a computer for my son. He will be using it mainly for school and some games. He likes to play Dota and L4D. Our budget for the PC would be 20K. We already have a printer, monitor and speakers. Our monitor is a 17" CRT monitor. My son said he prefers 1gb video card.

Thank you.

intel's 8th gen CPU benchmarks and reviews are out
and it's... boring

most reviewers recommendations: if you are on Haswell or older, it's a good consideration to upgrade. otherwise :noidea: meh

edit: mukhang maganda results ng i5 8400. but there is still ryzen 5 to consider kung price-to-performance ang usapan

The new FPS King i7-8700k :praise:
kaso ang mahal :upset:

now is not a good time to build a new PC :weep:
maaring mura or maganda nga presyo ng mga bagong processor at mobo... naglabasan din mga bagong video card... maraming magagandang bagong design na case... palaki ng palaki mga hdd... gumaganda technology ng monitors...
kaso...
RAM sobrang mahal at asahang tataas pa to hanggang next year  mababa din ang yields ng mga manufacturers at mataas ang demand ng mobile market
SSD nagtaasan din ang presyo against last year... though hindi naman ganun kalaki ang tinaas... medyo mataas ang demand ng mga NAND storage sa mobile market
overpricing ng mga video cards... let's face it... kahit medyo nag-normalize nga prices, mataas pa rin to against last year or even before April 2017. tapos Vega is nowhere to be found in the Philippines

Gigabyte Z370 motherboard prices :upset:

Php 16,120 = Gigabyte Aorus Z370 Gaming 7
Php 12,780 = Gigabyte Aorus Z370 Gaming 5
Php 10,730 = Gigabyte AORUS Z370 Ultra Gaming
Php 9,670 = Gigabyte GA-Z370XP-SLI
Php 8,730 = Gigabyte GA-Z370-HD3
Php 8,340 = Gigabyte GA-Z370M-D3H

There is Vega 56 in Lazada and it costs 30k

Kakaupgrade ko lang to ryzen 1600. Nagfefreeze sya then reboot when im gaming or minsan casual use lang like office apps.

:sigh:

Update your UEFI/BIOS. Most ram issues has been resolved by the updates. Tapos set mo frequency to 2400mhz. By default, naka-set lang sya sa 2133mhz.

always check for BIOS updates. dahil bagong platform ang ryzen, there are always new improvements and optimizations that are being released.

ryzen 5 1500x
MSI B350M Tomahawk
Kingston Hyper X fuy 8gb 2400mhz
Seasonic 650W G series modular cable 80 Plus Gold
tpos ung video card ko yung MSI r7 260x ddr5 2GB

nung una umokay sya. pro maya maya nagbeep ng tatlong beses tapos namatay cpu. then nung in-on ko ulit nag spark video card ska nangamoy kaya ko bigla bigla tinanggal.. so far okay naman ung board at procie ko' ang worry ko lang ano po kaya nangyari bakit nagkaganun?? dahil ba sa mababa ung video card ko?? or malakas pasok ng PSU sa gpu??

hi guys.

baka pwede po ako paqout sa inyo and any advise specs po ng pangcomputer shop pati specs po ng server pang diskless at yung hinde

intel's 8th gen core i3 8100 reviews are out... and it seems to provide great performance for the price. SRP $120
Php6,600 ang price sa pchub which is quite reasonable  you're basically getting an i5 7400 for an i3 price
but here's the bad news: puro Z370 mobo pa lang ang available. H370, H310 & B360 mobos might be released on 1st qtr of 2018 pa :punish:
it doesn't make sense to put a 6.6k cpu on a +8k mobo :slap:
unless we can get those budget mobos out, the ryzen 3 is still the best bang for the buck entry level cpu

i think you guys should start a Ryzen users thread for troubleshooting and other optimizations to help each other out. i don't have a ryzen system so i can't replicate your problem. try sending an email to Asrock about your issues. subukan mo rin maghanap sa ibang forum like tom's hardware, anandtech, linustechtips, etc for other solutions.

abangan mo rin tong post:

nasa sig nya:
CPU: AMD Ryzen 5 1600
GPU: Sapphire RX 480 4gb
MB: ASRock AB350m Pro 4
Ram: Corsair Vengeance 2400mhz 4gb
PSU: Seasonic S12II 520w Bronze
Case: Tecware Raiden Elite Black

malabong mag-supply ng excess power ang PSU kasi they will only supply power what is required of them by the component in question.

Almost same tayo ng build, except sa motherboard, try reseating your ram to other slots, change your thermal paste, mukhang overheating problem.
