Yung purpose nila is the same. Pinagkaiba lang is yung process.
Its up sa user kung anong gagamitin at kung saan sila hiyang.

Question lang po:... just purchased my own Alcatel Glory X, 918N... (yung napapalitan Casing)..

has the following info:
Firmware: 2.3.6
BB:6573
Kernel: 2.6.35.7

I wanted to root it, following strictly yung nasa front page... pero after reading on,
I see na mas mahirap ata i-root yung verson meron Glory X, (2.3.6)...

Bago lang kasi ako, so i'm just looking for a guide na madali i-follow and minsanan na...

Question ko lang is, could i still use and follow yung rooting process sa first page and make it work for Glory X, version 2.3.6? (if meron naka subok?)

or

If i follow ko yung tut sir Blue rain (http://bluerain28.info/?page_id=43)
, pwede ko rin ba magawa mga ibang naka lagay sa front page na features, i.e.:

V6 SuperCharger

Partitioning Micro SD

Link2SD Application

remove pre-installed applications

I Hope meron mag share feedback nila on this, and i thank them in advance...

Medyo tentative pa kasi ako mag root, thus this inquiry hehe...

afaik... you can root your 2.3.6 phone using BR's site as the one on the first page is a bit outdated... you can use said apps and procedures maliban lang sa mga custom rom na intended for 2.3.5

I'd like na lang info if anu updated na procedure and tools para sa V6 SuperCharger, Partitioning Micro SD, Link2SD Application
then for removing pre-installed applications..yung optimized or tried na for 2.3.6? thank you ulit for the response

awts, sayang naman. nakauwi n ko. di ko nadownload ung lewa rom. sa lunesn lang.

btw i succesfully rooted ung 2.3.6 ng kaibigan ko. gumana din ung 8mp camera patch.

@ mumbaki lord: i'm a 2.3.5 user and i don't have a 2.3.6 phone to tinker with... pero once you have successfully rooted your phone eh lahat naman ng step by step procedures eh nandoon sa site ni BR... 'yung mga procedure naman for v6 supercharger afaik eh same pa rin as before... ang mag-iiba lang siguro eh 'yung script ng v6sc kasi from time to time eh ina-update din ito... for example... ang latest v6sc script eh july 4 lumabas... "V6 SuperCharger Update 10 Test 7"... more info here... if you have the time eh you can read all pages in this thread... i know that it's time consuming... pero mas marami kang malalaman sa development ng rooting + other things ng 918n... it doesn't hurt to be informed di ba?... hehehe...

patulong naman mga sir.

bigla kasing d gumana ang speaker ng 918n ko. d ko marinig kung may tumatawag. headset ko lang naririnig ang mga sound.

nangyari to nung sinusubukan kong eroot ang unit ko. naroot ko na unit ko for 2 days pero d ko lang to napansin agad.
akala ko magiging ok lang xa if magreset to factory settings pero walang nangyari.. bago lang ako sa android so wala talaga akong idea nito. sinubukan kong mag "Wipe ALL data/factory reset" dun sa android system recovery.
then nereboot ko.

ung pinakaproblem ko ngayon, ayaw ng mag on ng unit ko.. ano dapat kong gawin? ano nasira ko? gusto ko muna ma on unit ko..mamaya ko na problemahin ang speaker.

please help!!

@ DK: tried OTU?... if not... punta ka sa alcatel ph onetouch website then hanapin mo 'yung unit mo at i-dl mo 'yung alcatel onetouch upgrade (otu)... if nagamit mo na ang otu at ganoon pa rin... baka sira na physically 'yung speaker... bisita ka na sa service center...

Sir banjo! ask ku lng bakit yung gallery ayaw ma.open ng maayos yung tipun nag.rerestart ng twice then close. Pansin ko rin nung d kupa na try mag record ng video okie pa yung gallery/quickpic ko. lewa rom po 2
