UnlockRoot didn't work for me, I downloaded Android Root 1.0 ICS Root unlocker.Worked like charm, copy to C:

right click ICS_Root_Unlocker.bat run as admin

then just follow the prompt

I'm using windows 8 - I installed pdanet both on tablet and desktop

I uploaded the one I used

sir newbie lang ako ei how can i allow unsigned programs??

hi Alea,

i think yung gps nya is A-gps...since wala naman syang gps hardware. emulated lang thru internet tracking. you can use it while you have internet connection.

been using kata minitab for almost a month now...so far satisfied ako (functionality in relation to its price)

already rooted it and changed the device ID to GT_N7000 (samsung galaxy note) para lumabas ibang games and apps sa market. ^_^

problema ko now is puno na storage space---puro HD games (NFS hot pursuit, shadowgun, final fantasy, playstation games, etc)

mounted with windows 95 na rin. (for testing purposes lang)

let's help each other para sumikat kata dito sa symbianize. i prefer it over other entry level tabs kasi visible yung shops nila (owtelstore). para hindi mahirap mag-habol for warranty, if ever, and after-market sales.

hi sir ... panu nio nchange un device id niya??? at pde ko n malaro mga hd pgganun? anu b specs nun minitab 7 nio po ... un gamit nio pra mkumpara ko sakin ...

Anyone na nakaexperience nito?

Na-root ko kasi yung T1 ko..

Pero ang problem ko ngayon eh na discharged ko yung battery nya.. as in battery 0%.. Ngayon pag-restart nung T1 eh parang nahihirapan ata mag-boot-up, kasi parang laging nagsosoft restart. Pag nasa GUI / desktop na siya (whatever they call it) eh after a few minutes eh black screen then labas yung kata logo.

Any advices? Last resort ba yung isysytem restore?

Try...Charge the tablet first. Then reset it while pressing the power button on. You should see the reset button right next to the volume key.

Checked Fish Market and saw an update for T1 - update supposedly enables 3g usb dongle capability. Tried downloading it several times but no luck. Msg I'm getting was "Error in Parsing..." anybody able to download it successfully?

Sir what i meant was kahit full charged na yung battery eh nung binu-boot up ko siya eh lagi nang restarting.. may problem ata sa pagloload ng start up items..

Anyway, tried system restore eh ganun pa din, resorted na to restore factory settings..

Word of advice na rin siguro, once na na-root yung tablet nyo eh huwag nyo na hayaang ma battery empty or ma-reset.. Dahil baka maexperience nyo rin yung dinanas ko na na-soft brick yung tab,

New lang dito. My minitab 7 nbili ko nung july p sobrang minsan ko lng magamit to. Natry ko sundin yung rooting instruction but wla hnd ko magawa. Gusto ko na sana iroot dahil naghang ng madalas sa fb app. Nagdownload din ako ng dolphin browser yung gmail ko nmnhindi ma open...ano na kaya dapat ko gawin dito? Any suggestions?

Mga sir meron po ba kayu alam na working replacement charger ng Kata T1? nandito po ako sa US ngaun at pinadala lang sakin to, nag bend po kasi ung charger ko although working parin sya pero mas gusto ko may backup ako para mapaghandaan narin kung meron kayu alam pa sabi nmn po dito thanks!

Sa KATA T1 po, bago lan po kasi nagkaruon. Syempre po kasi bago excited ako maglagay ng mga files, kinonnect ko sya sa pc ko then me lumabas na warning. The next day, hiniram ng utol ko ung tab tsaka nya ulit kinonnect sa pc, pagkaconnect na pagkaconnect po eh namatay un tablet. Dun na nagsimula na hindi maboot ung tab. anu po dapat gawin dun? Pasensya po sa pagiging noob.

sir, ganyan din ang na-encounter ko while rooting my T1.

once i open ics root unlocker, restart agad T1 ko while the unlocker prompted to "press any key to continue". wag muna press any key, just wait for the tab to restart and get connected to pc. pag magkakilala n ulit sila, press any key na.

si tab will restart again..

the unlocker prompted to press any key makikita mo tab na totally black screen, wala si fish logo. if that is so ... press any key na.

the program will be directed and finished with "press any key to continue" na ulit'

boom! done and enjoy ur rooted kata t1..goodluck!

ala-tsamba kasi ako dito sa parteng ito... di ko masyadong ma-gets nung una... ngayon ok na... isummarize ko lang ulit.

1. install pdanet sa pc.

2. run unlockroot.bat

bago mag-proceed gawin muna ito:
- turn on usb debugging ng kata
- turn-off kata
- connect kata to pc via cable (kusang mag-o-on si kata)

tapos umpisa na ng mga press any key ... see quoted text above for details pero may pagkakaiba rin siguro ng konti kasi we started with turning off the kata.

bale 4 na beses yung press any key... ganito lalabas sa cmd window ...

tapos mag-close na yung cmd window. siguro yung bytes at KB/s maiiba depende sa speed ng pc, pero basically yan ang lalabas sa screen. Yung naka-blue na text, for info lang yun.

to check kung rooted n ang tab nyo..download en install d root checker app on ur tab. launch d app and tap the "verify root access".. u will b asked to provide the superuser permission,tap d "allow" button to provide so. if d app found root access on ur tab, den d result shows dt "congratulations! ds device has root access". finally, u r 100% sure dt ur tab wer successfully rooted..no doubt! : )

check na lang kung rooted si kata by following the advice above.

Tinry ko ung sinabi mo sir. Unfortunately, di gumana. Pag chinacharge naman eh umiilaw naman ung power button nya pero kahit anung pindot po di po mag on eh.

dalhin mo na sa owtel habang bagong bili mo pa lang para mapalitan ng bagong unit. base sa previous post ng ilan palit-bago kaagad yan, di nila nire-repair lang.

Binalik ko store, they cleared all wifi to make sure hindi nag aagawan daw ng signal, I went home it didn't work, I reset this tablet and my router still d same.

Ano po kaya problem? I like the product no don't but of course I wanna use it to browse and of course download games for my kids.

Sales lady said if still didn't work they will replace it. But what if it didn't work?

Just bought yesterday. Ganyan di problem ko mam. kasi try connect yung KATA sa samsung galaxy S3 ko pero ayaw nya magconnect. ang ginawa ko mam. nireset ko yung configuration nung S3 tapos tinangal ko rin yung password. after that naka-connect na si KATA. then saka ko ulit binalik yung password nung S3. Ayun connected na sya.

gamit ko po t1 tablet 1 month na, ok naman po 1 day tagal ng battery kung may magandang apps ka para maka save ng battery, gamit ko sya sa viber, yahoo mesenger with video, skype with video, facebook, youtube, manga comics, 9gag, movies, ok naman lahat..

gamit ko net ay globe tattoo superstick yun may router na wifi 21mbps okay naman lalo na kung dolphin browser gamit super bilis ng loading, download ng movies, games sa google play, ayos sya overall, napunta ako sa site na ito check ko lang kung pwede gawing jelly bean pero kung hindi naman ok lang din dahil ayos naman..

gamit ko apps para hindi mag lag yung advance task manager pro para autoclose nya mga specific apps nasa background at yung greenpower premium para sa management ng battery, autooff nya mga sync gps wifi pag naka off ang screen mag switch on pag na unlock..

Sir pag-puro movies lang. Gaanong katagal ang battery life nito?
