between the 2 series of Nalini Singh (Guild Hunters vs. Psy-Changeling) i prefer the former than the latter (although im not really a fan of UF books coz it involves same characters as the main protagonist). iba ang impact ni Elena at Raphael....problem is, once you read GH series, parang ala na masyadong dating ang PsyC. totally different take, description, etc...parang ibang magkaibang author tuloy. i'm impressed

anyone here read Karen Marie Moning? i recently started reading her Highlander series (although i skipped books...buti na lang di ako OC )...okay din yung books. funny dialogues. talks about faeries /other realm + Scotland + time travel. as usual....hot heros around

@kung sino man ang nag bukas ng topic bout breaking dawn na gawing movie,hehe, sisirain talaga nila ang ganda ng book, hindi nila kayang gawin ung buong story within 2 hours lang kahit 3 hours pa... hai... masisira talaga ang story ng breaking dawn... +++ sino kaya ang kunin nilang renesme???

2 part movie pala... pero hnd pa rin nila kayang tapatan ang book... hehe kulit diba... hehehe... parang magaya yan sa harry potter book 7. nasira rin nila ung story... pano kaya nila ipa-understand ang imprint ni jacob at ni ren... hnd ma gets ng ibang tao yan...

I'm starting with Guild Hunters series mga sisters, tapos ko na yung Timeless din. Ang ganda, 4.5/5 star. 5 star sana but I have questions kasi. But I love the story can't wait for the next book. Can't put it down once you started reading it.

@momma, Ah yung search this thread is still beside sa Rate pa din.

For me, si Worth at Myst are the same I think, they are the same na they take each others freedom.

Pero I heard maganda daw yung Highlander series niya. Dunno about the Faefever though.

Ang cute naman ni Foy.

@ diokdin: Tama ka, I think pareho lang din nga nag-agawan sa freedom ng isa't isa sina Nikolai and Myst.
Natutuwa ako sa dictionary function ng K3, may mga historical Brit terms kasi ako na hindi alam ang meaning and pronounciation.

Although may nabasa akong review, na sa sobrang dami ng extended family ng mga Cynsters, yung mga latter books in the series are not as good as the first ones.

@ charmedjess: Do you like historicals din ba? Maganda nga ang Devil's Bride. I liked that the hero is always one step ahead of the heroine esp. when she thinks she got one over him, hehe.

@zelle1016 - tama! ang ganda super kilig. i love it na yung GH series hindi bitin yung ending palage. Eto ang isa sa mga series na i bet, magiging maganda on screen.

@sticky-feet - Guild Hunter and Demonica series= both great series after IAD , nakakainggit naman hindi mo pa tapos tong mga series.. ako i'm having a REALLY REALLY hard time looking for a next paranormal series. Maybe ibang genre muna? parang interesting yung Devil's Bride.. Sama ko na sa tbr list ko ..

@charmed19jess - very pretty talaga si mackenzie foy . Ako i'm soooo looking forward sa movies ng breaking dawn. I think i can overlook any flaws sa movie if ever.. haha, super fan.

@maysapaw - i tried reading PsyC before Demonica i think. Ayun.. mejo hindi ko trip yung political side. Hindi ko na tinapos yung first book..


Kanina natapos ko na ang 3rd book sa Guild Hunter Series.. super coincidence, may mga earthquakes and disasters din sa book tapos nalaman ko nalang kanina yung about sa tsunami sa japan.. i got goosebumps (sana wag ganun kalakas tumama sa pinas). About sa 3rd book - uber kilig parin and ang ganda ng plot. The whole series is a nicebeautifulgorgeous read. Now looking for my next paranormal series is a big problem for me. Ooooohhh please help me.... gusto ko yung may same effect like Immortals after dark, Lords of the Underworld, Demonica Series and Guild hunter series.

For now, i'm about to read The Sky is everywhere.

i cant start on IAD just yet, though i really want to, 10 books na ito diba? imma need a loooot of reading time for this, gusto ko kasi tuloy-tuloy, hehe...mahirap na ma-hook, we're talking 'bout 10 books here... hmmm, maybe sa holy week (tagal! ) ? since knee-deep parin naman ako in my must-read-books list...

re: GH vs PsyC let's just say na yung GH, its a totally new world (angels + vamps). while PsyC is somewhat like Lora Leigh's feline (?) series.

right now i really like books with a strong female character....yung strong always...hindi yung pag-nainlove eh nagiging tanga

again....can i interest anyone here to read Duncan's Bride by Linda Howard? puhlease yche09?....sama mo na rin yung Perfect Man nya

@sticky-feet, I woke up 30 min earlier today kasi my hubby called about that tsunami sa Japan and it might affect Phils too. Di ako mapakali kasi may flight sila ng parents ko same day. Kala ko na delayed buti nalang hindi at buti nalang hindi nila kinuha yung may stop over sa Japan, if not they will be stranded.

Anyways, natapos ko yung short story na Angel's Pawn ng GH series and I'm still 1/4 sa Angels Blood.

I love how Nalini Singh writes. Kakaiba, at tama kayo when she describe yung wings sa angels as in na iimagine ko talaga. My ereaders are charging right now so hindi ko pa matapos yung story sa GH series so I can't compare but I love how she combine angels and vampire. Though gusto ko din yung mga shape shifters nya sa PsyC.

And agree ako sa inyo na I love the werewolves sa IAD than the vampires. Hehe

@maysapaw, natawa ako yung comment na I'm moving to Scotland. Ako when I read Brenda Joyce's Master of Time, I wanna see or go on vacay in Scotland. I wanna see all those castle and all the men in kilt, hear their brogue. Gustong kong makita mga lalaki doon if sexy ba talaga silang tignan sa kilt nila. Don't wanna see old people though wearing a kilt. It's like having a cold shower. Hahaha

Iba kasi pag in order basahin sis. Have you seen Monk TV series, a Obessesive Compulsive detective. Gustong gusto ko yan na series, sad when it ended. I have all the DVD, all seasons. I love, love Tony Shalhuob. Ang bagay2x nya doon. May mga quirks cya (yung character, si Adrian Monk) na I can relate sa pagka OC. LOL But of course hindi kagaya sa kanya na sobrang grabe na yung OCness nya.

Nakakainis kasi yung mga heroine pag hindi strong, kagaya ni *cough* Bella *cough*. LOL Sarap hampasin sometimes!!!

Finished the Guild Hunter series in 2 days. I love it. I love how NS writes. Her characters are so well-written that they are all distinctive and interesting. Raphael is just all kinds of awesome. Pretty much the perfect supernatural hero: conflicted, possesive, ruthless, powerful but still, sweet and noble. Elena's character is pretty well written too. Her struggles and frustrations are realistic - in the sense na hindi sya biglaang expert and that her powers have very real limitations.

If ever NS tires of writing GH, she should totally write stories of the Seven. I like these characters. They are all so memorable that i can name them all off the top of my head. I love Illium with his blue wings. I like Dmitri's character too for some reason kahit he has the tendency to kill the heroine. Strong suit ni NS ang character building nya. I think I'll start on the Psy-Changeling novels soon.

After all the Archangels, angels and vampires, I tried to desensitize myself by reading SEP's Honey Moon. Fun read.. touching.

Naumpisahan ko na yung the sky is everywhere..but i just can't let go of GH series so i reread some parts . And then got distracted. Started reading American Vampire kaso it was coming out boring kasi parang syang "it" ni stephen king, and i was forever comparing the two and waley na waley yung american vampire, so i jumped to another book nanaman. Book 6 ng The Breeds series (i sort of read the series in between other novels parang harlequin). Ayun, in short, i'm jumping and jumping and still jumping from one book to another. ugh, eto ang epekto ng sunod sunod na magagandang paranormal series ang nabasa.

@g0dd3ss & yche girls your(our) wishes has come true actually... the 4th book Archangel's Blade in the GH series will be Dmitri's story... i dont know if all of the Seven will have their own, but i'm hoping din...but NS will get back parin to Elena & Raphael's story, but for now, lets wait to enjoy Dmitri...


Elena is actually on the cover of Archangel's Consort, her wings are really beautiful! and she looks so strong in there, i can actually see why Raphael is head over heels in love w/ her...hehe..


tama! you cant help but fall in love with Raphael...


and i know what you mean about the hangover...i think i still have it too...

@momma, I don't like kasi sobrang madrama na heroine eh. At hindi cya consistent and I feel she just got lucky that a werewolf and a vampire who are having a feud fall in love with her. She's still a whiny lady and she's only "strong" if Edward or Jacob is with her. She can't stand on her own. She has to have a man on her side to be strong. For me, that's not strong AT ALL!!! She doesn't have any emotional intelligence/strength. And that's more imporatant than IQ. Naging kick ass lang cya when she turn vampire and has a power. I like that she is fierce though in protecting her baby.

But I know what you mean naman momma.

@yche, yung the way she describe na mafefeel mo daw yung bad stuff sa kay Nazarath kung e t-touch mo it will hurt daw. As in na iimagine ko talaga. Especially when he was standing there very handsome but scary. I love how NS wrote it.
