Jellybean Update issues

I just got my phone updated to Jellybean but I noticed something, yung SSID ng mobile hotspot is Blaze S180 even if you change it. By default, it says AndroidAP pero when I tried it, Blaze S180 ang nakikita ng laptop ko. So I decided to change it, still no go. Tried to restart, still the same.

Another thing, I believe the the Jellybean is not designed for dual-sim, kasi sa sound settings, hindi na separate yung ringtone ng SIM1 and SIM2. Tapos ganun din sa SMS menu, yung SMS alert for both SIM, pareho na. Unlike sa ICS, separate yung SIM1 and SIM2 notification.

Tapos I noticed din, though medyo hindi naman halata, after they updated to JB, parang medyo na-stretch pahaba yung display.

To sum it all up, parang mas gusto ko pa yung naka-ICS na lang ako over Jellybean, unless there is something beneficial for me about this JB update.

At oo nga pala, bakit hindi na pwede ma-set as alert yung mga MP3/music files? Kailangan punta ka pa sa Music app, and the song as ringtone there. The option is no long available from the Audio Profiles. This applies for both ICS and JB.

kapag rooted ang blaze mo pwede mo gamitin na ringtone or message alert tone ang MP3. kailangan mo lang i-copy sa root ng device mo yung MP3.


about naman sa SMS alert, im nt aware na pwede pala hiwalay yung tone ng sim1 at sim2 sa ICS. maybe hindi ko lang masyado na-navigaye pa ang blaze ko pero wala kasi ako nakita sa settings na ganun.

Sir, regarding the Hotspot, di ko po alam yan, di naman kasi ako nagshashare or nag te-tether ng internet connection eh.

Di ko rin alam na pwede pa lang i-set ang ringtone ng SMS sims as well as Stretching of display. Nice observations

I got my update from Cherry Mobile. I went to their service center in Mandaluyong. Walang pila. They just made me wait for 30 mins (I guess matagal pa din...), compared to 4 hours wait sa North Edsa.

Isa pa pala I notice, ang labo ng Camera pag indoor photoshoot ska yung Diamond Dash, delayed yung sound.

paraan ng Cherry Mobile para di lag.

New Rooting Procedure for Cherry Mobile BLAZE and/or any MediaTek 6577
Presenting..
MTK Droid Root & Tools
by: yuweng of xda-developers

Things Needed:

1. MTK Droid Root & Tools V2.3.0 (Updated SuperUser and Mobile Uncle Tools)
   Password: ceril_07
2. Google USB Driver Rev 7 ( ADB driver )
   >If you already installed Android SDK and S180 Drivers, you don't need to install this.

Procedures:
Please follow the steps correctly.. Please Read! Read Read!

1. Make sure that you have already an ADB Interface installed in your computer.
   
   
   
   In my case it is named Samsung Android Phone
   (Since I used ADB before using my Samsung Phone... In your case, this might be different)
   
   
2. On your phone, make sure that USB debugging, Stay awake & Unknown sources is enabled/checked.
   
   
3. Connect BLAZE to computer using USB cable and Open MTK Droid Root & Tools
   
4. Upon opening, information about your BLAZE is shown.
   
   
   
   
   
5. Click ROOT
   >Sometimes MTK Droid Root & Tools will give us an error.. when we encounter this, just press ROOT Again.
   According to Yuweng of XDA MTK Droid Root & Tools really gives a warning on the first time we click the ROOT button.
   
   Error:
   

   -- ERROR : /data/local.prop: No such file or directory

   
   However, if there's still an error on our second try, uninstall the driver, reboot the computer and reinstall the Google USB Driver Rev 7.
   Then go back to Step 1.
   
   
   
   
   
6. On our BLAZE, Full Restore will prompt. Just click my Restore my data.
   (If you set a password, please input your password first before clicking Restore my data). Device will reboot after this.
   Don't unplug the USB cable nor close the MTK Droid Root & Tools.
   
   
7. After the reboot, MTK Droid Root & Tools will detect again our BLAZE and a window will pop-up on our computer screen saying that
   "It is necessary to keep ROM!".. Just press the NO button. (Trust me on this! We'll have a backup procedure also, so don't panic nor be afraid)
   
   
   
   
   
8. After a few seconds, a window will prompt again on our computer asking if we want to
   "Install SuperUser, Busybox and Root Explorer?". Press YES Well, if you want for your BLAZE to be rooted, then if not, press NO (I have updated the SuperUser and added the latest Mobile Uncle Tools)
   >Mobile Unlce Tools will be use in order for us to port the TWRP recovery for our BLAZE, so don't delete this app.
   
   
9. On the Logs on the MTK Droid Root & Tools, when it says the following:
   

   -- SuperUser install
   -- task is complete --

   then we have ROOTED successfully our Cherry Mobile BLAZE

**This Rooting Procedures works for all 4.0 Android Devices that is using MediaTek dual-core processors.
