Puwede, ang tawag sa mate na iyan ay Fool's mate, pero kailangan baguhan talaga at walang alam sa chess kalaban mo.

http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Fool's_mate

Anybody who wants to improve should forget this garbage fool's mate, and play real chess. Study endgames, strategy and tactics. :peace:

A good start at improving in chess, is to learn some mate patterns.

Blundering can be attributed to many factors(aside from poor tactical vision). These tendencies are common among starting out players(but masters are not immune from it).

Tendencies:

1. The tendency to focus only on the part of the board where your opponent made a move. Let say your opponent made a queen move on the king side, starting out players will have tendencies looking only at the king side but not queen side. Their thought process might be like these," I will check if my opponent has threat on king side." The problem with this thinking process is, what if you have hanging piece on the queenside that your opponent's queen can capture? You will miss it, cause you are only looking at king side.

2. Tendency to make a move, without considering possible reply from your opponent. Let say there is a good square that will improve the position of the queen, but there is tactical drawback, the queen can be pin against its king by your opponent's bishop. Now if you are only thinking at your possible moves, without thinking what your opponent will do, you will miss your queen will be pin against its king by your opponent's bishop.

3. Tendency for premature stopping of calculation. This is also common among starting out players. It could go on like this,"I see if I go here, he will go there, then I will go here, so this is an okay move." The problem is after a few more moves, the moves you choose has tactical drawback of you losing a piece. This could have been prevented if you calculated a few more lines.

Solving many chess tactical problems alone, will not really be a great help of eliminating the tendency of not looking at the whole board, and tendency of not looking at possible opponent reply when you made a move. You must have discipline, and try to improve your thinking process. Make sure to always look at the whole board from first move to the last.Always study your opponent's last move.Always look at what your opponent might do if you make a move.

But of course solving chess tactics everyday is a must, if you want to improve your tactical skills. Even a grandmaster still solve chess puzzles.
