Hi to all

I have Cisco 881w router.
Pero hindi ko po mapasok ung mismong configuration ng router.
May I ask for default IP Address??? Lam ko kasi may default IP address un with username and password.

For those who knows.. Please help. Thank you

Model: Asus RT-AC87U
Problem, nakaset eto sa dhcp ranging from 192.168.1.2 - 192.168.1.20 , bakit nakakakonek ako sakanya kapag nagstatic ako ng 21 paas na IP ?? Diba dapat po hindi sya makakabrowse since wala sya sa lrange ng IP? Or Router problem siya ?

Yes, makaconnect yan, considering your network is 192.168.1.0/24 in your router. Ung DHCP server mo naka-set lang to obtain IP address between range of 192.168.1.2-192.168.1.20. Pero kung magstatic ka using 192.168.1.21 pataas, pasok pa rin to sa usable IP addresses ng network mo. Remember you have 254 usable addresses in 192.168.1.0/24. Meaning, any ip na mgconnect using IP address between 192.168.1.1 - 192.168.1.254, connected pa rin sa network mo.

dapat ang subnet mo lang is 255.255.255.235

ang current settings mo kase ngayon is naka /24 ka siguro malaman which is 255.255.255.0

mga boss ask lang..kapag yung router ba na cisco ay pinalitan ng ibang cisco router pero same model gagana padin po ba yung internet? yung model po ng router ko is DPQ3925 cable modem po siya..

it depends on your prev. configuration...kung may ginamit ka doon na pang internet route configuration or restriction(sa prev. router) hindi talaga yun gagana ,
well if wala naman, gagana siya based on its default configuration.

2 points;

1. If may nakaset na management IP, kung may managed switch ka, pde mo gamiting si CDP para makita ung management IP nia, but cisco is not using default login, laging wlang nka set na credentials as default
2. ma-access mo lang yan if kung hndi mo alam IP etc, thru console cable.. gamit ka ng console to usb converter then secure crt or putty, malas mo kung me nkaset na credential, need mo magboot sa ROMMON and change cnfig mode para maiload mo siya sa default config.

CCNA Routing and Switching or CCNP Route aralin mo, nandun mo makko-cover lahat ng routing protocols/type.

ano mas maganda packet tracer or GNS3? ung tropa ko kasi mas maganda daw GNS3 unlike sa packet tracer my mga command na nde gumagana, sa GNS3 lang pwede.

kagandahan ksi with GNS3, real Router/Switch IOS ang gngamit mo and supported nia newer models. So pde ka muna magsimulate and do trials before purchasing the device pde rin siya iconnect sa existing network mo and work like a real router/switch/AP

Packet tracer is limited na since most of the devices embeded is mga end of life na or outdated.

Question lang mga master , paano ba mag-setup ng internet connection using PLDT modem ico-connect sa Cisco router 1841 then connect sa Cisco Catalyst 2950?

what do you want to achieve here?

1. this router hasn't got built in analog modem to convert pstn to digital signal, that being said, pde mo gamitin si PLDT modem as dumb modem (disable DHCP, Wifi) then set it as bridgemode. Pde rin nman RFC routed bridge basta disabled si DHCP at wifi ni router.

2. make the both interface as trunks (switch to router).

3. configure NAT (inside and outside) DHCP Service, DNS etc on the cisco 1841

Pwede ka naman mag-aral ng Cisco kahit anong natapos mo. Kung ACT ka for sure techie ka na and madaling maiintindihan yung mga jargon sa computer. Regarding naman kung saan pwede mag-aral, marami. If you want to learn CISCO from scratch yung zero knowledge talaga kumuha ka ng course Cisco 1 to 4. Medyo may katagalan to kasi per module pag-aaralan nyo yung cisco. Mga schools or institute na nag-ooffer nito ay AMA, MAPUA, UPITDC, MFI ang ilan sa alam ko. Kung gusto mo naman ng fast phased, pwede ka magbootcamp. 5 days ang training. Mga nag-ooffer nito ay RIVANIT, IRONLINK, NEXUS ay ilan. Marami pa nag-ooffer ng bootcamp try to search na lang sa net.

Kung tipid ka talaga and gusto mo talaga matuto. Pwede ka mag download ng mga video tutorials ng CCNA. CBT Nuggets and Udemy may mga offer sila na online courses. Kung wala talaga pambayad pwede mo idownload yung mga video tutorials sa Torrent or dito sa symbianize marami.

To be honest mejo mahirap mag hanap ng NOC/Network Engineer job ngaun, but don't be discourage. Pede mo lang gawin for now is gumawa ng profile sa LinkedIn, be DETAILED. Pede ka din naman mag search ng job through LinkedIn, I prefer it over Jobstreet though , mas madali kasi makikita ng company ung details about you sa LinkedIn. Most ng mga company naman binibigyan padin ng chance ung mga Entry Level to have an interview, all you have to do is to impress them with your technical skills. Apply lang sa lahat ng Job Posting about Associate NOC/NetEng may makaka pansin din ng CV mo for sure. About sa technical interview question it's all fundamentals and few config questions. You can read my blog, meron akong list ng mga na experience ko na interview question nung applicant palang ako.

TSE? Technical Support? As much as possible avoid call center kung gusto mo ma line talaga sa NOC/Net Eng. Though minsan may mga call center naman na nag provide ng training. Suggestion ko is hanap ka muna ng maliliit na ISP, dun ako nag start before moving to bigger company.
