Hi, investors!
Let me share with you the reply of Bro. Bo to a member who was so worried about CHP. Post to sa FB group ng TRC:
_________

Hi,

I understand how you feel about this "paper loss" with CHP.

CHP or CEMEX Holdings Philippines is a cement producer, and the first reason why their share price dropped is primarily because of their last quarter revenue results for 2016 was below "estimates". Here's what that means: For each major company listed in the stock market, analysts already have a projected estimate for how much revenue or profit the company will have every quarter. The buying public (that's us) buy or sell depend on this projected estimate.

When the actual profit is above this estimate, the share prices goes up even more. When the actual profit is below this estimate, the share price goes down. This is what happened here.

Why did their profits go down in the last quarter of 2016? They said that the construction projects of the last quarter slowed down.

The second reason why the stock price went down: CHP said their profits for the first half of 2017 will still be sluggish because of "La Nina" like weather. But they foresee better profits at the second half of the year.

The third reason why the stock price went down: CHP said there is a delay in the completion of a new factory (and new product) from 2018 to 2019.

All these factors caused the price to go down.

But saying all that, we still think this low price is a good opportunity
for us to buy it for our long-term investing. In the coming years, we
believe the price will go up and it will be profitable for us. However, at the TrulyRichClub, we always want our members to be diversified.

So we recommend that you don't put more than 10% of your portfolio into CHP.

Keep investing by buying small amounts in various stocks every
month. Never stop. At 6 months, you still don't see the results of you
investing. Usually, it's at the third year and fourth year when an
investor begins to smile and say, "Yeah, this is working!" Be patient. If you remain faithful, you'll get there.

Blessings,
Bo

I agree. Just hit Thanks button, maappreciate na po yan ng nagshare. Mahirap na kasi sa mga bagong dating dito sa thread ang magbackread kasi napakahaba na (mostly dahil sa thank you messages). Otherwise, mapipilitan talaga si Ms. Sajhe to temporarily close the thread to lessen the posts. Ayaw naman natin cguro ng ganon di po ba?

Let's just post queries, answers to queries, TRC shares, and anything related to stock investing from now on. No need to say thanks. :)
