Re: You want to make your own home solar? Pasok!

Thanks for this one TS..pwede kaya magpaset up na lang sa bahay..may mga mairerecommend ka ba sir na gumagawa ng ganito..thanks :)

ts nice thread.

So Things i need:

1 pc 200Ah deep cycle battery
1 pc 50 watts solar panel
1 pc 500w Power Inverter

sir do i need charge controller? so i can use while charging?

for a 65w fan on 8hrs = 520watthours
technically you need atleast
4pcs 50wattpeak solar panels
4pcs 100ah battery
1pc 300w puresinewave inverter.
1pc 20Amps charge controller
with this set up, 3 day autonomy is included in this calculation.
ibig sabihin magagamit mo yung fan mo maski di umaraw ng 3days.

cost: more or less 78-80k pick up price free installation within ncr and north luzon.

Maximum system voltage: 800V
Test condition: 1000W/m, AM1.5;25°C
Pmax: 50Wp
Tolerance: ±5%
Vmp: 18.0V
Imp: 2.778A
Voc: 21.6V
Isc: 3.333A

Galing yan dito:

http://www.cdrking.com/index.php?mod=products&type=view&sid=18073&main=167

Thanks

Imp -maximum power current nman.

Specially halos made in china (kaya mura) mga components nila.

Re: You want to make your own home solar? Pasok!

I see, sir san po pede bumili? cheap but meron quality? can you suggest?price range,

Sorry, please check in your area and search google coz price are very different from one place to another

:thanks: for sharing

thanks for the info TS.. keep on sharing

you are all welcome! :salute:

Ewan! I just did it by myself, it's really not difficult :)

Nowadays all the solar panels have an inegrated diode (at the back) even the one bought in cdr king! But, sure if you have old panel better to use either a controller or put a diode between the panel and the battery

This is the theory for 3 days backup power... and this the theory of the solar vendors.... If these people really use solar power and not only sell, they will know that it is more affordable and easier to set up. Because the solar vendors act as if it's very difficult to do by yourself, so many people hesitate to go solar or even renounce because of the price. It was my case for many years until I decide to do it. Before I did it by myself, I asked a so called specialist... for the same set-up I made myself, he wanted to sell me a set up worth 250 k, telling me that was the minimum, just to power some lights, my tv and my laptop... so I study myself how to do it and here the result: I'm very happy with it.... If solar vendors were more "honest" solar will be more develop in the Philippines and it will not be only the rich who can afford big setup who will benefit from solar power. My small setup (with which I can even power my ref, even if everybody say it's impossible) is used also in countries like india, pakistan and in africa. The systems proposed here, in the Philippines, are based on american and european standards. But Filipinos are ingenious people and can always manage to do a lot with a little :salute:

try ko nga toh!:dance::dance::dance:

cge... go lang go

Baguhan po sir, saan po ba makakabili ng solar panel? then anu pa kailangan wattage and tamang inverter na gagamitin..

Where to buy: I bought my panels sa cdr king but you can buy online or maybe you have dealers in your area. Then for wattage and inverter it depends.... what do you want to power???

Almost all solar panels are made in china... even the ones supposedly made in Germany, they are made in china and then ship to germany and back here  Anyways the cdrking panels are ok but you must mount them in a place where they can "breath"... not on your roof if yo have GI sheets.

Thanks ts.. bookmarked

Welcome po!

Re: You want to make your own home solar? Pasok!

salamat dito matagal ko nang gustong gumawa ng solar ... now matutuloy na din salamat sa info ts more solar power! hehehe

Re: You want to make your own home solar? Pasok!

:welcome:

I bought my panels at cdr king, 2000 pesos each

my inverter was bought online at http://fortunedaletrade.webs.com/ reliable guy who knows his job! My inverter was 15 k, medyo mahal but it's because it's an inverter/charger. When I bought it last year it was to use with a generator (the generator charged the battery thru the inverter)

my DC breaker was also bought online but I forgot where (I will search) 1000 pesos

My batteries were bought here, in puerto princesa city, at a motolite battery dealer. 7200 each

I made a 3 meter high chassis in wood to mount the panels with salvage wood. (when I will have a working camera, I make pictures :D)

yup... I plan to make pictures but wala ng akong camera :weep: I've to find 1

gusto ko rin gumawa ts

Don't hesitate... do it if you can afford even a small setup...

hindi ko afford :weep:

I hope you will be able one day to afford kahit malilit lang... you will save money and you will help saving our planet

you can make a generator for wind mill with a re-winded car alternator... If you can find an old cheap alternator :slap:

there is interesting info here http://www.scoraigwind.com/

and here you can download plans http://www.scoraigwind.com/download/index.htm
