Tungkol sa nagsasabing hindi ipinanganak sa buwan ng Disyembre ang Panginoong Hesus, alamin natin ito sa Banal na Kasulatan. Ang lahi ng mga Judio ay mula sa lahi ni Abraham. At ayon sa kasulatan wala pang Judio or Israel noong mga panahong iyon. Si Abraham ay ipinanganak sa UR sakop ng Chaldea ay isang pagano. Pinili siya ng Diyos na maging Ama ng maraming bansa na magiging piling tao ng Diyos. Sa paglipas ng panahon ang lahing ito ni Abraham ay dumami na napakarami sa loob ng 430 taon pagkatigil nila sa bansang Ehipto. Sa bansang Ehipto maraming bagay ang kanilang natutunan bago sila lumikas sa pamumuno naman ni Moises. Sa panahong iyon ang bansang Ehipto ay sariling kalendaryo at alpabeto. Ang kanilang kalendaryo ay binubuo ng 29 at 30 araw sa loob ng isang buwan. Ang isang taon sa kanila ay binubuo ng labindalawang buwan. Noon lumikas ang mga Israelita sa Ehipto sila man ay mayroon na ring kalendaryo na binubuo rin ng tulad sa bansang Ehipto. Noong bago sila sakupin ng bansang Babylonia ang Israel ay mayroon ng bagong kalendaryong sisusunod. Ang kalendaryong ito ay gamit pa rin ng isilang si Cristo. Noong isilang si Cristo ang Judio ay nasa ilalim ng Imperyong Romano. Ang mga Romano naman ay mayroon sariling kalendaryo at tinatawag itong Julian Calendar.
Ang Julian Calendar ay umiral hanggang ika-17 siglo. At noong ika-17 siglo nagkaroon naman ng panibagong kalendaryo at tinawag itong Gregorian Calendar.
Ang mga Hebreo ay may mga batas panrelihiyong sinusunod. At isa sa mga batas na ito ay ang paghahandog na ginagawa ang mga Saserdote tuwing sasapit ang ika-10 ng ika-7 buwan ng taon. Tinatawg nila ang araw na ito ng “Araw ng Bayad-Sala” (Day of Atonement).
“Sapagkat sa araw na ito gagawin ang pagtubos sa inyo upang linisin kayo, sa lahat ng inyong mga kasalanan ay magiging malinis kayo sa harap ng Panginoon”
(Lev.
16:30).
“Gayon man sa ika-sampung araw nitong ika-pitong buwan ay araw ng pagtubos, magiging sa inyo’y banal na pagpupulong, at pagdadalamhatiin ninyo ang inyong mga kaluluwa, at maghahandog kayo ng handog sa panginoon na pinaraan sa apoy” (Lev. 23:27).
Ang kaugaliang ito na tinatawag nilang batas ng relihiyon ay umabot hanggang sa panunungkulan ni Zacarias na ama ni Juan Bautista.
“Ang pangkat ni Zacarias ang nanungkulan noon, at siya’y naglilingkod sa harapan ng Diyos bilang saserdote” (Lk. 1:8).
Si Zacarias ang nanunungkulan noon bilang saserdote. Sa pagsapit ng panahon ng pag-aalay ng handog para sa kasalanan ng tao. Si Zacarias ang nagkapalad na nahirang na maghandog ngkamanyang. At noon pumasok si Zacarias sa loob ng Dakong Kabanal-banalan sa araw na iyon ng ika-10 ng ika-7 buwan, nagpakita sa kanya ang isang anghel ng Diyos.
“Walang anu-ano’y napakita sa kanya ang isang anghel ng Panginoon, nakatayo sag awing kanan ng dambana ng kamangyang. Nagulat si Zacarias at sinidlan ng matinding takot nang makit ang anghel. Ngunit sinabi nito sa kanya, Huwag kang matakot, Zacaria! Dininig ng Diyos ang iyong dalangin. Kayo ni Elisabet ay magkakaroon ng anak na lalaki at Juan ang ipangangalan mo sa kanya” (Lk. 1:11-13).
Ang Gawain ng isang Saserdote simula ika-10 ng ika-7 buwan ay natatapos ng 12 araw. Pagkatapos ng gawaing ito at saka pa lamang siya makakauwi ng bahay (2 Cron. 7:9-10).
“Iyong salitain sa mga anak ni Israel na
sabihin sa ika-labing limang araw ng ika-pitong buwang ito ay
kapistahan ng mga balag na pitong araw sa Panginoon” (Lev. 23:34).
“Kayo’y tatahan sa mga balag na pitong araw, yaong lahat ng tubo sa Israel ay tatahan sa mga balag” (Lev. 23:42).
Sa loob ng labin-dalawang araw si Zacarias ay titigil sa temptlo at sa ika-23 ng ika-pitong buwan saka pa lamang siya uuwi ng bahay (2 Cron. 7:9-10).
“Nang matapos ang panahon ng paglilingkod ay umuwi na siya. Hindi nga nagtagal at naglihi si Elisabet sa kanyang asawa, at hindi unalis ng bahay sa loob ng limang buwan” (Lk. 1:23).
Simulan nating bilangin ang pagdadalang-tao ni Elisabet. Ibagay natin ito sa kalendaryo ng mga Judio. Sa kalendaryo ng mg Judio nagpakita ang anghel kay Zacarias sa buwan ng Tishri.
Ang kalendaryo ng mga Judio sa kapanahunan ni Zacarias bilang isang Saserdote.

Noong magpakita ang anghel Gabriel kay
Zacarias ay ika-10 ng ika-7 buwan noon ng paghahandog ng kamanyang sa Dakong Kabanl-banalan. Ang ika-7 buwan ayon sa Hebrew Calendar ay buwan ng Tishri at sa Julain Calendar naman ay Styembre. Kinuha ang Alitang Setyemvre mula sa salitang Septem (Latin) na ang kahulugan ay pito (7). Sa buwang ito ipinahayag ng anghel Gabriel kay Zacarias na ang kanyang asawang si Elisabet ay maglilihi at manganganak ng isang lalaki. Mula sa buwang ito simulan nating bilangin ang paglilihi ni Elisabet.

Sa ika-anim na buwan ng pagdadalang-tao ni Elisabet, dinalaw naman si Maria ng anghel Gabriel.
“Nang ikaanim na buwan na ng pagdadalang-tao ni Elisabet ang anghel Gabriel ay sinugo ng Diyos sa Nasaret, Galilea” (Lk.1:26).
Hindi nagtagal pagka-alis ng anghel na dumalaw kay Maria, siya ay pumunta kay Elisabet. Sa pagkikita nilang iyo binati siya ni Elisabet at sinabi ang tungkol sa kanyang dinadala sa sinapupunan. Maliwanag na noong dumalaw si Maria mayroon nang laman ang kanyang bahay-bata.
“Tumira si Maria kina Elisabet nang may tatlong buwan at saka umuwi” (Lukas 1:56).
Anim na buwan ang tiyan ni Elisabet ng dumalaw si Maria sa bahay nito sa Judea. Tatlong buwan siyang tumigil dito at nang umuwi siya maaaring nakapanganak na si Elisabet. Muling bilangin natin ang mga buwan ng pagkatigil ni Maria sa bahay ni Elisabet.

ang tiyan ni Elisabet

Kung ang ika-siyam na buwan ng pagdadalang-tao ni Elisabet ay Tammus (Hebrew calendar) pumapatak naman itong Hunyo sa Julian Calendar. Ang pagdadalang-tao ng isang babae ay 9 na buwan at ang buwan ng Tammuz ay pumapatak sa tamang bilang ng pagdadalang-tao ng babae. Kung kaya’t si Juan ay ipinanganak sa buwan ng Tammuz o Hunyo. Ang Simbahang Katoliko ay ipinagdiriwang ang kaarawan ni San Juan Bautista tuwing sasapit ang ika-24 ng Hunyo. At ayon sa bilang ng buwan mula noong buwan ng Tishri hanggang sa buwan ng Tammus ito’y hustong ika-siyam na buwan ng pagdadalang-tao ni Elisabet. At noong ipanganak naman si Juan sa buwang ito ay si Maria naman ay tatlong buwan nang nagdadalang-tao. Sapagkat noong dumalaw ang anghel sa kanya ay buwan ng Nissan at noong nagpunta siya kay Elisabet ay may laman na ang kanyang sinapupunan. Mula nang dumating siya sa (bulubundukin ng) Judea hanggang sa umalis siya may tatlong buwan na ang kanyang dinadala. Bilangin natin ang buwan ng pagdadalang-tao ni Maria.

At ayon sa ginawa nating pagbilang sa paglilihi ni Maria ang ika-9 na buwan ay ang Tebeth.Lumalabas ngayon na si Jesus ay ipinanganak sa buwan ng Tebeth na ang katumbas sa Julian Calendar ay Disyembre. Ang ika-anim na buwan ng pagdadalangtao ni Elisabet ay buwan ng Nissan (Hebrew Calendar) at Marso naman sa Julian Calendar. Ito ang unang buwan ng pagdadalang-tao ni Maria at ang ika-9 ay ang buwan ng tebeth (Hebrew Calendar) at Disyembre naman sa Julian Calendar. Ang araw naman ay nagsisimula sa 6:00 ng hapon ng sumunod na araw. Noong isilang si Jesus ay hindi taglamig na pilit na pinalalabas ng mga kaaway na panahon ng taglamig. Ang buwan ng Tebeth ay hindi taglamig na di tulad sa Gregorian Calendar. Kaya naman mayroon tayong mababasa na noong isilang si Jesus ay mayroong nagpapastol ng tupa nang gabing iyon. Kung ang panahong iyon ay taglamig walang mangangahas magpastol ng tupa sa tindi ng lamig sa kalagitnaang Asya.
Sa ikalilinaw ng marami, narito ang paghahambing ng mga kalendaryo noon at sa kalendaryo sa kasalukuyan.

At itong Gregorian Calendar ay ginamit lamang noong ika-17 siglo at ang gamit noon ay Julian Calendar. Kaya’t maliwanang na si Jesus ay isinilang noong DISYEMBRE at hindi Oktobre.

immaculate - malinis na malinis, conception - pagdadalantao. hindi po yan patungkol sa pagdadalantao ni Mariang Birhen kay Hesukristo. yan po ay ang pagdadalantao ni Saint Anne kay Maria na syang ina ng ating panginoong Hesukristo. kaya po pagdating naman ng september 8 ay ipinagdiriwang ang kaarawan ng inang birhen.

“Kayo’y tatahan sa mga balag na pitong araw, yaong lahat ng tubo sa Israel ay tatahan sa mga balag” (Lev. 23:42).
Sa loob ng labin-dalawang araw si Zacarias ay titigil sa temptlo at sa ika-23 ng ika-pitong buwan saka pa lamang siya uuwi ng bahay (2 Cron. 7:9-10).
“Nang matapos ang panahon ng paglilingkod ay umuwi na siya. Hindi nga nagtagal at naglihi si Elisabet sa kanyang asawa, at hindi unalis ng bahay sa loob ng limang buwan” (Lk. 1:23).
Simulan nating bilangin ang pagdadalang-tao ni Elisabet. Ibagay natin ito sa kalendaryo ng mga Judio. Sa kalendaryo ng mg Judio nagpakita ang anghel kay Zacarias sa buwan ng Tishri.
Ang kalendaryo ng mga Judio sa kapanahunan ni Zacarias bilang isang Saserdote.

Hindi nagtagal pagka-alis ng anghel na dumalaw kay Maria, siya ay pumunta kay Elisabet. Sa pagkikita nilang iyo binati siya ni Elisabet at sinabi ang tungkol sa kanyang dinadala sa sinapupunan. Maliwanag na noong dumalaw si Maria mayroon nang laman ang kanyang bahay-bata.
“Tumira si Maria kina Elisabet nang may tatlong buwan at saka umuwi” (Lukas 1:56).
Anim na buwan ang tiyan ni Elisabet ng dumalaw si Maria sa bahay nito sa Judea. Tatlong buwan siyang tumigil dito at nang umuwi siya maaaring nakapanganak na si Elisabet. Muling bilangin natin ang mga buwan ng pagkatigil ni Maria sa bahay ni Elisabet.

Ang pagdadalang-tao ng isang babae ay 9 na buwan at ang buwan ng Tammuz ay pumapatak sa tamang bilang ng pagdadalang-tao ng babae. Kung kaya’t si Juan ay ipinanganak sa buwan ng Tammuz o Hunyo. Ang Simbahang Katoliko ay ipinagdiriwang ang kaarawan ni San Juan Bautista tuwing sasapit ang ika-24 ng Hunyo. At ayon sa bilang ng buwan mula noong buwan ng Tishri hanggang sa buwan ng Tammus ito’y hustong ika-siyam na buwan ng pagdadalang-tao ni Elisabet. At noong ipanganak naman si Juan sa buwang ito ay si Maria naman ay tatlong buwan nang nagdadalang-tao. Sapagkat noong dumalaw ang anghel sa kanya ay buwan ng Nissan at noong nagpunta siya kay Elisabet ay may laman na ang kanyang sinapupunan. Mula nang dumating siya sa (bulubundukin ng) Judea hanggang sa umalis siya may tatlong buwan na ang kanyang dinadala. Bilangin natin ang buwan ng pagdadalang-tao ni Maria.

Ito ang unang buwan ng pagdadalang-tao ni Maria at ang ika-9 ay ang buwan ng tebeth (Hebrew Calendar) at Disyembre naman sa Julian Calendar. Ang araw naman ay nagsisimula sa 6:00 ng hapon ng sumunod na araw. Noong isilang si Jesus ay hindi taglamig na pilit na pinalalabas ng mga kaaway na panahon ng taglamig. Ang buwan ng Tebeth ay hindi taglamig na di tulad sa Gregorian Calendar. Kaya naman mayroon tayong mababasa na noong isilang si Jesus ay mayroong nagpapastol ng tupa nang gabing iyon. Kung ang panahong iyon ay taglamig walang mangangahas magpastol ng tupa sa tindi ng lamig sa kalagitnaang Asya.
Sa ikalilinaw ng marami, narito ang paghahambing ng mga kalendaryo noon at sa kalendaryo sa kasalukuyan.

1. They conclude that they are right and the Catholic Church is wrong even though they have not studied Hebrew and Greek

Most anti-Catholics say outright that the Catholic Church teaches wrong things. They say that they know what they are saying although they also did not study Hebrew and Greek.

There are some things that can see in them so we can understand the point here.

First, if these anti-Catholics studied Hebrew and Greek, they will not use the versions of the bible that do not depend perfectly on Hebrew and Greek.

Secondly, they should not have judged the images of the Catholic Church using Exodus 20:4, Deuteronomy 5:8, Habakkuk 18-19 and Psalms 115:4 if they knew what was written in Hebrew.


2. They read only a few verses in the Bible and now they are saying that what the Catholic Priests are saying is wrong

We see clearly that many Protestants who have read only a few passages in the Bible thought they understood the truth and they explicitly say that what Catholic Priests say is wrong.

Just like the anti-Catholics who read only Ephesians 2:8-9 and John 3:16 say religion is not needed to save people from the punishment of hell.

They have not yet read the entire Bible and yet they claim to know everything. Indeed, the saying ‘A little knowledge is a dangerous thing’ is true.

It is clear that the Apostle Paul teaches salvation and how to save people.

“Keep a close watch on how you live and on your teaching. Stay true to what is right for the sake of your own salvation and the salvation of those who hear you.”(1 Timothy 4:16)

Does Apostle Paul have a religion?

“No one can deny how great is the secret of our religion:
He appeared in human form,
was shown to be right by the Spirit,
and was seen by angels.
He was preached among the nations,
was believed in throughout the world,
and was taken up to heaven.”(1 Timothy 3:16)

If religion is not necessary, why did Apostles Paul and Timothy have a religion?

The problem of the anti-Catholics is that they read only a few passages in the Bible but they did not read the entire Bible. Yet, they give conclusions as to what is right and what is wrong.


3. They make accusations without even knowing the true teachings of the Catholic Church

The pastors and ministers of the anti-Catholics repeatedly teach their members and their members also repeatedly spread the following lies without asking first if the following are true:

First, the Catholic Church teaches people to worship images and statues.

Second, the Catholic Church makes Mary and the saints as god.

Third, the Catholic Church teaches Catholics to crucify themselves every Holy Week.

They should ask first before spreading information that is false, because that’s not what the Catholic Church really teaches.

They continue spreading this false information especially to innocent people.

“You must not testify falsely against your neighbor.”(Exodus 20:16)



4. Transferring to another religion without studying the Catholic Faith first

The grim reality is that many Catholics are switching religion without studying carefully the Catholic faith. When they are in another religion, they say that the Catholic Church is wrong. They simply believe the false accusations being made by other pastors.

Is it not very unfair for you to say that your previous religion is wrong when you did not even study this well?

It is natural that pastors will say the Catholic Church is wrong to deceive them.

It is very unfair to say that teachings of the Catholic Church are wrong when you did not even think about this when you were still Catholics.



5. Underestimate all the Catholics who are ignorant of the Bible

Most of the anti-Catholics underestimate all Catholics who are ignorant of the Bible.

They do not know that many Catholic Scholars know these very well but remain quiet and they do not judge other people unlike anti-Catholics.

This attitude is being too proud and God is not pleased with those who are proud.

“God opposes the proud, but gives grace to the humble.”(James 4:6)



6. Judging all Catholics who worship images and statues and when this person was still a Catholic, he/she was also doing this thing

There are former Catholics who tend to judge all Catholics who worship statues and images even if they never know what is in the minds of Catholics they see. The painful truth is they did these things when they were still Catholics, they also considered statues as god but they did not first ask priests and those who know the truth if images should be considered as god.

Do not compare yourself to all Catholics to you because it is your fault that you did not investigate first before you did something.

Catholics do not do the work of a fool because the person who worships the statue is stupid. Do not compare yourself to all Catholics. If you did this before, then you are at fault and not all Catholics.

The lesson here is to investigate and ask first before doing this thing.

The term Babylon in the book of Revelation always refers to the Pagan Rome. Let us remember there are 2 types of Rome, the Pagan Rome and the Christian Rome. The Pagan Rome refers to the Roman Empire. The Roman empire was ruled by Emperor Nero during the time of the Apostles and it persecuted the early Catholics. The early Catholics were put to jail, they were beheaded, placed in the arena known as the Roman Coliseum and were fed to the lions. The same Emperor Nero ordered the crucifixion of St. Peter and the beheading of St. Paul because they didn’t want to worship the Emperor. Since then there were series of persecution among Christians in Rome until it was prohibited by Emperor Constantine who was converted to the Christian faith.

THE BIBLE SAYS THAT THE HARLOT OF BABYLON SITS ON THE SEVEN HILLS OF ROME. What are those Seven Hills of Rome as ancient historians and scholars taught us? Here they are:

1. Aventine Hill (Latin, Aventinus; Italian, Aventino)
2. Caelian Hill (Caelius, Celio)
3. Capitoline Hill (Capitolium, Campidoglio)
4. Esquiline Hill (Esquilinus, Esquilino)
5. Palatine Hill (Palatinus, Palatino)
6. Quirinal Hill (Quirinalis, Quirinale)
7. Viminal Hill (Viminalis, Viminale)

See, center of the Catholic Church is in THE VATICAN HILL which is not part of the Seven Hills of Rome. It is in Vatican Hill where St. Peter met his martyrdom by being crucified upside down. The place is now called THE ST. PETER’S SQUARE. He was buried in the nearby cave which later on became the site for the BASILICA OF ST. PETER. This Vatican Hill is separated from the Seven Hills of Rome because it is on the other side of the River – The Tiber River. This is the heart and origin of Catholicism. That is why the Church of Rome was founded by the blood and faith of Sts. Peter and Paul.

The adulterous woman in Revelation 18 does not refer to the Catholic Church because the Church of Rome is against ABORTION, FORNICATION, PROSTITUTION, SAME SEX MARRIAGE, DIVORCE, PORNOGRAPHY unlike those Protestant religions, Born Again sects which legalized abortion and same sex marriage and other abominations to the Lord.

The Church of Rome is well-praised in the Bible by St. Paul himself while the Iglesia ni Manalo ni Commonweath was never mentioned:

Romans 1:7 (NIV) “To all in Rome who are loved by God and called to be his holy people: Grace and peace to you from God our Father and from the Lord Jesus Christ.”

See how God loves the Roman Catholic Church. St. Paul calls the Roman Christians as The Holy People of God.

Romans 1:8 “First, I thank my God through Jesus Christ for all of you, because your faith is being reported all over the world.”

What is this Church which is so famous in Rome? What is this Roman Church that is known all over the world? Not the one own by Felix Manalo or the Born Again but THE ROMAN CATHOLIC CHURCH led by the Bishop of Rome. This one and only Church of Rome is also the True Church founded by Jesus and was brought to Rome by Sts. Peter and Paul no less.

The reason this is so intriguing should be obvious to every one, one of the two pillars of Protestantism is “sola Scripture or Scripture alone” yet these two bibles do not agree. If two bibles disagree, which one is wrong, are both wrong? Both claim that you cannot add to or take from the word of the Lord, yet they differ. Why? Which one is right? How much do they differ? Does it affect doctrine? Who changed it? Some of the verses are total opposites, other verses are simply not saying the same thing.

For example in the NKJV compared with the (old) KJV there are 66 omissions of the word “Lord”, 51 omissions of “God”, 44 omissions of “repent”, 50 omissions of “heaven”, 23 omissions of “blood”, and the terms “devils”, “damnation”, “Jehovah”, and “new testament” are completely omitted.

How about that “hell”? The NKJV removes the word “hell” 23 times. By replacing “hell” with “Hades” and “Sheol”! The Jehovahs Witness “Bible” does this as well and the New International Version is guilty of the same stratagem. Webster’s New Collegiate Dictionary defines Hades: “the underground abode of the dead in Greek MYTHOLOGY”. By making it “much clearer” – Do they turn Hell into MYTHOLOGY? But there should be nothing new to the readers of the KJV with nine references to unicorns and over 30 to dragons mythology is standard reading . It must be noted, Hades is not always a place of torment or terror! The Assyrian Hades is an abode of blessedness with silver skies called “Happy Fields”. In the satanic New Age Movement, Hades is an intermediate state of purification!

Who in their right mind would think “Hades” or “Sheol” is “up-to-date” and “much clearer” than “hell”? The NKJV makes over 100,000 word changes from the old 1611 KJV. There are 2,922 fewer words in the New Testament of the NKJV. Thus, the NKJV is shorter (In The New Testament) than that of the King James Bible by about the total number of words contained in I and II Peter combined! Once i asked a Baptist member why these omissions? He answered me” “to reduce printing costs”! Imagine tampering with the Word of God in a bid to reduce printing costs!!! This is a lie. Now let us discover the devious omissions and changes in these versions;

Matthew 16:18

KJV: “And I say also unto thee, That thou art Peter, and upon this rock I will build my church; and the gates of hell shall not prevail against it.”

NKJV: “And I also say to you that you are Peter, and on this rock I will build My church, and the gates of Hades shall not prevail against it.”

Luke 16:23

KJV: “And in hell he lift up his eyes, being in torments, and seeth Abraham afar off, and Lazarus in his bosom.”

NKJV: “And being in torments in Hades, he lifted up his eyes and saw Abraham afar off, and Lazarus in his bosom.”

Hell is removed in 2 Sam. 22:6, Job 11:8, 26:6, Psalm 16:10, 18:5, 86:13, 116:3, Isaiah 5:14, 14:15, 28:15,18, 57:9, Jonah 2:2, Matt. 11:23, 16:18, Luke 10:15, 16:23, Acts 2:27, 31, Rev. 1:18, 6:8, 20:13,14.

Then the NKJV decides that maybe “Hades” should be “grave”! So the NKJV makes 1 Corinthians 15:55

The NKJV also deals rather questionably with the Lord Jesus Christ. Following are some examples:

Matt. 8:19

KJV: And a certain scribe came, and said unto him, Master, I will follow thee whithersoever thou goest.

NKJV: Then a certain scribe came and said to Him, “Teacher, I will follow You wherever You go.”

Matt. 19:16

KJV: And, behold, one came and said unto him, Good Master, what good thing shall I do, that I may have eternal life?

NKJV: Now behold, one came and said to Him, “Good Teacher, what good thing shall I do that I may have eternal life?”

Matt. 20:20

KJV: Then came to him the mother of Zebedee’s children with her sons, worshipping him, and desiring a certain thing of him.

NKJV: Then the mother of Zebedee’s sons came to Him with her sons, kneeling down and asking something from Him.

Acts 3:13

KJV: The God of Abraham, and of Isaac, and of Jacob, the God of our fathers, hath glorified his Son Jesus; whom ye delivered up, and denied him in the presence of Pilate, when he was determined to let him go.

NKJV: The God of Abraham, Isaac, and Jacob, the God of our fathers, glorified His Servant Jesus, whom you delivered up and denied in the presence of Pilate, when he was determined to let Him go.

Acts 3:26

KJV: Unto you first God, having raised up his Son Jesus, sent him to bless you, in turning away every one of you from his iniquities.

NKJV: To you first, God, having raised up His Servant Jesus, sent Him to bless you, in turning away every one of you from your iniquities.”

Note: I wonder where they got the idea to change “Son” to “Servant”? How about the NIV, NASV, NRSV, et al?

Acts 4:27

KJV: For of a truth against thy holy child Jesus, whom thou hast anointed, both Herod, and Pontius Pilate, with the Gentiles, and the people

NKJV: “For truly against Your holy Servant Jesus, whom You anointed, both Herod and Pontius Pilate, with the Gentiles and the people of Israel, were gathered together

Acts 4:30

KJV: By stretching forth thine hand to heal; and that signs and wonders may be done by the name of thy holy child Jesus.

NKJV: by stretching out Your hand to heal, and that signs and wonders may be done through the name of Your holy Servant Jesus.“

Matt. 7:14

KJV: Because strait is the gate, and narrow is the way, which leadeth unto life, and few there be that find it.

NKJV: Because narrow is the gate and difficult is the way which leads to life, and there are few who find it.

I Cor. 1:18

KJV: For the preaching of the cross is to them that perish foolishness; but unto us which are saved it is the power of God.

NKJV: For the message of the cross is foolishness to those who are perishing, but to us who are being saved it is the power of God.

Note: In II Cor. 2:15 they change “in them that are saved” to “among those who are being saved”.

Heb. 10:14

KJV: For by one offering he hath perfected for ever them that are sanctified.

NKJV: For by one offering He has perfected forever those who are being sanctified.

Acts 12:4

KVJ: And when he had apprehended him, he put him in prison, and delivered him to four quaternions of soldiers to keep him; intending after Easter to bring him forth to the people.

NKJV: So when he had arrested him, he put him in prison, and delivered him to four squads of soldiers to keep him, intending to bring him before the people after Passover.

Gal. 2:20

Why do we have the Image of ‘Tree’ during Christmas Season? BECAUSE THE IMAGE OF THE ‘TREE’ IS ONE OF THE BIBLICAL IMAGES OF THE MESSIAH AND OF GOD!

Check these passages:

Is 11:1 (New International Version) “The Branch From Jesse 1 A shoot will come up from the stump of Jesse; from his roots a Branch will bear fruit.”

Jesus is symbolized by the Tree which bears a lot of fruits. This is the Biblical image of the re-establishment of the Kingdom of David.

Let us take a closer look at the Tagalog translation of that verse and its continuation:

Isaias 11:1-2 At may lalabas na usbong sa PUNO ni Isai, at isang sanga mula sa kaniyang mga ugat ay magbubunga: At ang Espiritu ng Panginoon ay sasa kaniya, ang diwa ng karunungan at ng kaunawaan, ang diwa ng payo at ng katibayan, ang diwa ng kaalaman at ng takot sa Panginoon…

Now, this is obviously a Messianic prophecy. The Messiah is likened to a branch of a Tree. And not only that, the Stem of Jesse have been presumed dead for centuries yet a new shoot will rise out of it and it will become a Tree itself and will give fruits to others.

THIS IS THE ORIGIN OF CHRISTMAS TREE. IT IS VERY OBVIOUS… LITERALLY OBVIOUS… AND THE CONTEXT IS TRULY RELATED TO THE BIRTH OF THE MESSIAH IN THE KINGDOM OF DAVID. MUCH MORE THE IMAGE OF THE ‘TREE OF LIFE’ IS NOT ONLY LIMITED TO THE BIRTH OF THE MESSIAH. IT IS ALSO A BIBLICAL IMAGE OF THE TRIUMPH OF THE MESSIAH OVER EVIL:

1 And he showed me a pure river of water of life, clear as crystal, proceeding from the throne of God and of the Lamb. 2 In the middle of its street, and on either side of the river, was THE TREE OF LIFE, which bore twelve fruits, each tree yielding its fruit every month. The leaves of the tree were for the healing of the nations.

Also, the Bible likens a faithful believer who lives in righteousness to a TREE planted near the running waters, bearing fruits and having constant fresh leaves. It looks like a Christmas Tree to me:

Psalm 1:3 (New International Version)

3 He is like a tree planted by streams of water, which yields its fruit in season and whose leaf does not wither. Whatever he does prospers.

So, the Christmas Tree is also a reminder for us Christians that if we are faithful to the Lord – The Branch of David, we too shall bear fruits for others… This is a very beautiful Biblical imagery [cf. Psalm 92:12-13].

Psalm 96:12-13 (New International Version)

12 let the fields be jubilant, and everything in them. Then all the trees of the forest will sing for joy;

13 they will sing before the LORD, for he comes, he comes to judge the earth. He will judge the world in righteousness and the peoples in his truth.

Another Biblical Prophecy concerning the coming of the Messiah is that the Trees of the Forests will sing for joy. Of course, this refers to the fact that the entire creation will rejoice because God is Born unto us… the source of creation is coming to be with the things He created. The Catholics expressed this beautiful Biblical Imagery by presenting a Tree so full of fruits, constantly fresh leaves, covered with light, with the Star of Bethlehemon top and not only that, we put singing Christmas Lights around the Christmas Tree to signify the Joy of Creation with the Birth of the Messiah.

The “Wise Men”—How Many? Who Were They?

The custom: Guided by a “star” from the east, three “wise men” are portrayed as presenting gifts to Jesus in a manger in a stable. Sometimes shepherds are also shown as being present.

Its roots: Aside from the brief account in the Bible, “everything written about the Wise Men stems principally from legend,” says The Christmas Encyclopedia.

What the Bible says: The Bible does not say how many “wise men” visited Jesus. There may have been two, or there may have been three, four, or more. Although termed “wise men” in some Bible translations, the original-language word is magoi, which means astrologers or sorcerers—professions that the Bible says are “detestable to God.” (Deuteronomy 18:10-12) By virtue of their long journey from the East, the astrologers did not arrive in time to visit Jesus in the stable. Rather, after perhaps months of travel, they “went into the house” where Jesus was staying. There they saw “the young child with Mary its mother.”—Matthew 2:11.

What Sort of Star Led the Astrologers?

Clues are provided by what the star actually did. For one thing, it did not lead the men directly to Bethlehem, but to Jerusalem, where their inquiries about Jesus reached the ears of King Herod. Herod then “secretly summoned the astrologers,” who told him about the newborn “king of the Jews.”

Herod then said: “Make a careful search for the young child, and when you have found it report back to me.” Herod’s interest in Jesus, however, was anything but noble. Rather, this proud and ruthless ruler was resolved to put Jesus to death!—Matthew 2:1-8, 16.

Interestingly, the “star” now led the astrologers south to Bethlehem. There “it came to a stop” above the house where Jesus was.—Matthew 2:9, 10.
Clearly this was no ordinary star! And why would God, who had used angels to inform humble shepherds of Jesus’ birth, now employ a star to guide pagan astrologers—first to Jesus’ enemy and then to the child himself? The only reasonable conclusion is that the star was a sinister device of Satan, who is capable of such manifestations. (2 Thessalonians 2:9, 10) Ironically, an ornament called the star of Bethlehem is usually seen at the very top of the Christmas tree.

Ngunit, hindi maiiwasan ito ay batikusin ng ilang mga kaibigan natin sa ibang sekta. Sa di-lubos na pagkakaunawa, ang mga Gawain na ating nasasaksihan sa debosyong ito ay pawang sumasalamin lamang sa ilang larawang naganap na sa Biblia na siya

DEBOSYON:

KAPISTAHAN:

Kadalasan ng pagdalo ng isang deboto ay ang pagpapanata sa kapistahan ng Nazareno. Ito man ay mababasa natin sa Biblia,

“Ipagdiwang mo ang iyong mga kapistahan, Oh Judah, tuparin mo ang iyong mga panata”(Nahum 1:5)

IMAHE:

Ang isang imahe ay hindi nangangahulugan agad na isang larawan, maging ito man ay 3-dimensional o hindi. Ang imahe ay maaaring isang bagay, o pangyayare na sumasalamin sa mas malalim na bagay. Ang Imahe ng Itim na Nazareno ay pawang sumasalamin sa Kristong nagpasan ng kaniyang krus upang iligtas ang tao sa tiyak na kapahamakan:

“Hinahanap ninyo si Hesus, ang Nazareno, na siyang ipinako sa krus” (Marcos 16:6)


MAPAG HIMALANG IMAHE:

Katanungan ng ilang di-katoliko, paanong ito ay makapag hihimala, ito’y isa lamang rebulto? Totoong ito po ay isang rebulto at hindi poi to sinasamba namin. Ngunit, di po maitatanggi, na kahit ang isang larawan o imahe ay pwedeng gamitin ng Panginoon para gumawa ng mga himala. Gaya ng Ahas na tansong pinagawa ng Dios kay Moises.

“At si Moises ay gumawa ng isang ahas na tanso at ipinatong sa isang tikin: at nangyari, na pag may kagat ng ahas ay nabubuhay pag tingin sa ahas na tanso” (Bilang 21:9)

BAKIT “ITIM”?

Itim po ang imahe ng Nazareno sapagkat itim ang kahoy na ito. Ayon sa kasaysayan, ang imaheng ito ay nasunog ngunit hindi natupok. Dito ay maihahambing natin ang imahen sa ‘punong kahoy’ na nakita ni Moises:

“Ang kahoy ay nagniningas sa apoy, at ang kahoy ay hindi natutupok” (Exodo 3:2)

Bagama’t ang imahe ay nangitim sa sunog, di ito alintala para sa mga taong may malalim na pananampalataya.

“Ako’y maitim, ngunit kahali-halina” (Awit ng mga Awit 1:5)

NAKA-YAPAK

At ang kapansin-pansin pa po dito, Ay matapos Makita ni Moises ang punong kahoy na nasusunog, ay sinasabi sa sumusunod na versikulo ang mga ito:

“Hubarin mo ang iyong panyapak sa iyong mga paa, sapagkat ang dakong iyong kinatatayuan ay banal na lupa” (Exodo 3:5)

Kung kaya mapapansin natin na kaugalian ng mga deboto na lumapit sa Itim na Nazarenong walang tsinelas o panyapak sa kanilang mga paa. Ito ay tanda ng pagpapakumbaba.

PAGHAWAK SA IMAHE:

Sa matinding pananampalataya ng mga deboto kung saan nananalig silang gagaling sa anumang uri ng karamdaman, bagama’t hindi ito inaabiso, ay gumagawa sila ng paraan upang mahipo man lamang ang damit ng Nazareno. Ito man po ay ginawa na kahit noon pang nakikipamuhay sa lupa an gating Panginoon

“At lumapit sa kaniyang likuran, at hinipo ang laylayan ng kaniyang damit at pagdaka’y naampat ang kaniyang agas. At sinabi ni Jesus, sino ang humipo sa akin? At nang tumatanggi ang lahat ay sinabi Pedro at ng mga kasamahan niya, Guro, iniipit ka atsinisiksik ng karamihan” (Lucas 44-45)

PAGPAPAHID NG PANYO:

“..dahil sa kaniyang kamalian: at doo’y namatay siya sa siping ng Kaban ng Dios” (2 Samuel 6:7)

Ang Nazareno ay Biblical

JOHN 8:23 “And he said to them: You are from beneath: I am from above. You are of this world: I am not of this world.”

Ang Panginoon pala ay galing na sa taas, saang taas po? sa rooftop ba ng bahay niyo o building niyo? hindi po, Siya po ay galing na sa langit. tulad nga din ng sabi Niya, maliwanag na ang Panginoon nung hindi pa naging tao [2 JOHN 1:7] Siya ay taga langit. Diyos nga naman talaga Siyang maliwanag ano?

Philippians 2: 5-6 “Make your own the mind of Christ Jesus: Who, being in the form of God, did not count equality with God something to be grasped.”

Nagpakumbaba Siya samantalang Siya ay Diyos, sasabihin ng mga sekta na hindi daw tinanggap ni Kristo yong pagiging Diyos Niya sa verse na yan kaya hindi parin daw Siya Diyos, nakakatawa lang kasi wala naman Siyang sinabi na HINDI ko yan tinatanggap, nagpakumbaba lang Siya, ibig sabihin po nun Diyos parin Siyang maliwanag.

Ito po ang mas magandang verse para sa akin sa pagka-Diyos ng Panginoon, ang sabi ng Ama sa. .

Revelation 1:8 “I am Alpha and Omega, the beginning and the end, saith the Lord God, who is and who was and who is to come, the Almighty.”

Ang sabi naman po ng Panginoong Jesus. .

Revelation 22:13″ I am Alpha and Omega, the First and the Last, the BEGINNING and the END.”

Ito po ay bonus nalang, very common napo kasi ito,

JOHN 1:1-3 “In the beginning was the Word: the WORD WAS WITH GOD AND THE WORD WAS GOD. He was with God in the beginning. Through him all things came into being, not one thing came into being except through him”

Kay gandang mga verses na nagpapatunay na DIYOS nga talaga ang Panginoong Jesus napakarami pa po niyan sa Biblia, ang tanong ngayon ng mga anti-Catholics, “ILAN NA ANG DIYOS NIYO KUNG DIYOS DIN SI KRISTO?”

Ang sagot naman ng isang tunay na Katoliko “NATURAL ISA LANG” ito oh. .

Para po sa kaalaman ng lahat dun po sa hindi pa nakakaalam, ang itim na Nazareno po ay REBULTO ng DIYOS na si KRISTO, hindi po mismong kahoy ang tinuturing na DIYOS ng mga Kristiyanong Katoliko, minsan ho kasi sa totoo lang madami sa mga anti-Catholics ang MABABAW ang pag-iisip makasira lang ng pananampalataya ng iba (di naman sila lilipat sa inyo, dahil ang sinusunod niyo SEC registered at hindi si Kristo ang may-ari.. peace!)

Idolatry is a pejorative term for the worship of an idol or a physical object such as a cult image as a god, or practices believed to verge on worship, such as giving honour and regard to created forms...

Forms of Idolatry

Acts of idolatry referred to in the Bible included such revolting practices as ceremonial prostitution, child sacrifice, drunkenness, and self-laceration to the point of causing blood to flow. (1Kings 14:24; 18:28; Jeremiah 19:3-5; Hosea 4:13, 14; Amos 2:8)

Idols were venerated by partaking of food and drink in festivals or ceremonies in their honor (Exodus 32:6; 1Corinthians 8:10), by bowing and sacrificing to them, by song and dance before them, and even by a kiss. (Exodus 32:8, 18, 19; 1Kings 19:18; Hosea 13:2)

Idolatry was also committed by arranging a table of food and drink for false gods (Isaiah 65:11), by making drink offerings, sacrificial cakes, and sacrificial smoke (Jer 7:18; 44:17), and by weeping in religious ceremony (Eze 8:14).

Certain actions, such as tattooing the flesh, making cuttings upon the flesh, imposing baldness on the forehead, cutting the sidelocks, and destroying the extremity of the beard, were prohibited by the Law, possibly, at least in part, because of being linked with prevailing idolatrous practices of neighboring peoples.—Leviticus 19:26-28; Deutronomy 14:1.

kaya pala kulay itim ang poong nazareno ay NASUNOG pala ito...ang HINA naman pala ng poong NAZARENO at hindi nya kayang ILIGTAS ang kanyang sarili..at kung hindi man ganap na nasunog ang nazareno ay bakit nya hinayaan na mamatay sa sunog ang mga kasama nya sa barko at sya lang ang natira(selfish pala ang nazareno)?o di kaya sinunog din ng apoy ang kapangyarihan ng nazareno na magligtas?..

anyway opinyon ko lang po ito..i still respect the beliefs of RCC..
