Again try to avoid using microsoft product they were not freindly in terms sa pera(Subrang negotiante yun)...
start using open source para hindi masyadong magasto...just like our OS if you buy now a legal window 7 i think it cost you 10thou while using linux(open source) i download mo lang makakagamit kana legally with out any cost.

That is true mahirap sa simula pero madali na ma master yung gimp if you already mastered photoshop dahil they have almost the same GUI. Ang importante yung ginagamit mo walang cost involved not like photoshop nakakagamit nga kayo pero may cost or pirated..And gimp still give you the same result like photoshop.

You must be prepared for the future. Kasi pag maging professional na kayo sa programming or rendering images hindi na pwede yung pirated mawalan kayo ng license doon so you will be force to buy those expensive thing dahil dyan kayo nasasanay....

I've installed Mint on my other partition for the meantime and been using it since I cannot boot on my Ubuntu partition.

It's not a new install. Well, I've installed it around May, it's the Ubuntu Precise Pangolin. And yes it was working before.

No the drive is not full yet. In fact the partition has more than 30 GB space left.

I've read something on a forum about the new kernels, changing hd0 to sd0 something like that.

From what I understand with hd0 out of disk error that means hd0 does not exist. But I've checked my grub conf and it does.

I'm not at all that worried since I can still mount and accass all my partition including the Ubuntu partition in my Mint partition but still I need to be able to boot Ubuntu as I prefer using it than Mint.

You will stop asking those question if you just use php kasi gagana yan sa window mac and linux. And we have to face reality na ang window ay iba sa linux...

Ano bang bagay na hindi maibigay ni php at maibigay ni vb.net in real world specially sa business wala naman. Sa totoo lang im using that system(yung sample ko previous post) on my own business(chain store) and we have a cash register module a real cash register with pure keyboard operation using the latter language. Beside mas mahirap pa yung vb.net kay sa php. Id tried that language to replace sana vb6 pero mahirap i integrate yung nalalaman ko sa vb6 to vb.net.

VB alternative in linux is Gambas. You can still run VB6(im not sure sa classes) in linux pero thru wine...

I dont think so. If there's a thread kung meron man lets talk about philippines so you can talk about pacquio, board exam or even calamities as long na naganap yan sa pilipinas. Ganito ka lapad ang thread na ito. everything inside OS pwede pag chismisan hehehehe....Yun ang akala ko dude...May be Maam Pres can give us some limitation...wala tayong magagawa...She is the author of this thread...

Besides kawawa naman yung humihingi ng payo i bibitin mo sa ere.i think yung problema nya dito sa thread dapat ipapasok dahil wala pang programming language napipili yung tao for his OS. This is only my opinion....​

As I said, the alternative is MONO, not gambas. gambas is alternative to vb6 not vb.net

In mono you will actually use the standard library of .net .

So yes, para sa akin medyo off-topic na at baka mapagalitan tayo ng moderators. Sa kabilang banda kasi, siguro medyo "gray" kasi ang pagtatanong ni sir dahil yung mga questions niya, eh wavering between OS and programming (or at least he is trying to see what Programming Language to use in "x/y/z" OS). And yes, medyo nakakaawa din kasing iwanang nakabitin. Pero kung ako siguro ang tatanungin, mas maganda na dun magtanong sa mga threads under the "Programming" na Sub-Category. Mas maraming insights na makukuha si sir.
