Sorry dude nagbibiro lang ikaw talaga pilyo talaga sineryoso mo kaagad hahahahaha wala yun......

maiiba ako, i read some article about arch na sometimes mag ka crash daw . Nakaka experience ka ng crashing dude? totoo ba to?

---- About System Crash in Arch, i thinks it's natural dude, kahit sa ubuntu, LMint or other distro meron din nun.. Hindi ko pa naman meron mga konti pero yung major system crash di ko pa na-encounter, yun as of now.

Bale umaabot ng 2~3days eto notebook ko wala patayan(*dami download eh haha*), minsan iniiwan ko lang wala pa naman problema. Medyo mababa sa resource ang WM(openbox) na gamit ko, plus minsan firefox, transmission. terminal(proz-batch, nano, ncmcpp, mutt), pidgin, skype at mplayer lang usually ginagamit ko, mga roughly 200~500mib ram + 5~20% CPU, kapag running yung mga apps ko. Kapag nag- "+chromium" medyo lalaro na sa 400~700mib ram, sama mo pa office+gimp about 50%Ram(2gb), plus 25~50%(4cores)processor na siguro ako.

Puro estimated datas, pero di naman nagyayari yung katulad sa ubuntu+unity na run ko, firefox + transmission + pidgin + terminal apps + skype + mplayer, cgurado magcrash agad ang firefox. Hindi problema sa arch, maybe because sa arch, you can "keep it simple and stable".. hehe..

---- In Arch Linux, yung mga apps at de/wm, ikaw(admin) ang bahala maginstall nun dahil core lang talaga(ika nga basic katulad ng sabi mo sa mga previous post mo) ang offer sayo(no xorg, no de/wm, no libreoffice, no mediaplayer, no messenger at madami pa wala na thirdparty apps) so kapag nagkaproblema, more or less masosolve mo din naman agad, (with documentations+forums+reverse engineering)​

~ bale to sum it all up, depende sa hardware + de/wm + configurations + running apps kung magcrash talaga yung arch linux system mo.

pero sabi nga po ni kuya Jer, and kuya topet. "broad" naman po ung tanung ko hindi siya focusing programming. minsan din po sa OS.

actually ang tanong ko naman is what programming language is best for linux and what alternative PL is available sa Linux..

di naman po focusing sa Programming .

then siguro kaya din hindi nag rereact si moderator kasi satingin din nila hindi naman po out of topic ^_^

siguro one last thing nalang po..

if i will pursue ung sinasabi ni kuya jer.. what are the things i need to install in my LM13 Cinnamon?

that is (PHP, HTML, JAVA-Script).

Separate partition, it's the second primary partition.
Yes I've installed updates several times on Precise before this happened.

I can't boot on my Ubuntu and can't mount filesystems on console mode.
But I can mount and access all partitions when I boot on Linux Mint.

Well, maybe I'll just reinstall Precise

OS:Linux Mint 13 cinnamon
requirement: dapat my connection na stable para ayos yung download mo....
1. Update and upgrade everything in your system para lahat ng dependency sa lamp ma pipickup nya.

sudo apt-get update

then

sudo apt-get upgrade

2. Install LAMP(linux-apache-mysql-php)

sudo apt-get install lamp-server^

.....after downloading lamp may prompt na nag ask ng password and that password is for your mysql database. so bahala ka na sa password.
3. Test LAmp kung mag wowork ba...
a. Open any browser
b. type this "localhost" or "127.0.0.1" on your addressbar then hit enter....
if affirmative yung display sa page then start playing lamp.

How to play lamp?
1.pupunta ka dito as root /var/www/. ito yung server path mo.dito mo ipasok lahat ng file mo na gagamitin sa pag lalaro ni lamp.
2.create ka nang directory inside /var/www/ and name it with "myproject"
3.Inside your new created directory(myproject) create a new document name it with index.php.
4.Copy and paste this code in your new created index.php file

If you burn the downloaded iso installer to a CD, it will become bootable.

All you have to do is, change the boot sequence from the BIOS, make sure the CD/DVD ROM is the first to boot.

It is quite easy. Just click the network manager icon from the top panel and click New Connection and follow the wizard or step-by-step guide.

I was able to boot but it takes about 20-25 minutes and the text display got messed up, nagiging rectangles or squares...just like when you open a document that is not supported by the app that you're using to open it.

So I ended up reinstalling
