Forget Windows, the most vulnerable operating systems in 2014 were Mac OS X and iOS


Windows is more secure than Mac OS X, iOS, and Linux

It is interesting that although Microsoft operating systems still have a considerable number of vulnerabilities, they are no longer in the top 3. Apple with OS X and iOS is at the top, followed by Linux kernel.

2014 was a tough year for Linux users from a security point of view, coupled with the fact that some of the most important security issues of the year were reported for applications that usually run on Linux systems. Heartbleed, for example, is a critical security vulnerability detected in OpenSSL while Shellshock is a vulnerability that affects GNU Bash.

naghahanap ako ng bilihan ng TOSHIBA CHROMEBOOK 2 sa metro manila, may alam ba kayo?
mura lang kasi maganda display tsaka mabilis yung chrome os, pinakamabilis na operating system ata yun ngayon. wala ng madaming kabulastugan tulad ng windows.

How come that Linux Kernel is vulnerable despite the fact it's open-source?

Is your source correct? Let's check...

1) Based on the table, Linux Kernel is under Operating System. Linux is technically not an operating system. It's just a kernel or part of an operating system. Is your source joking? He already knows that Linux is a kernel. Why did he put Linux kernel under Operating System? Is it an OS?

2) Based on the statement, "... that some of the most important security issues of the year were reported for applications that usually run on Linux systems.". Where are the vulnerabilities? Is it on the kernel or applications?....

3) About the author... "He is product manager at GFI Software... He currently oversees GFI LanGuard, a successful network security scanning and patch management solution."
Accdg. to his blog...
"Vulnerability and patch management should be priority tasks for every sysadmin. Microsoft’s updates are not enough because third-party applications are just as problematic. If you would like to discover how many vulnerabilities exist in your network or how many patches are missing, download GFI LanGuard 2015 and try free for 30 days." If this is the case, I'll use Windows instead :)

What a load of biased crap!
Separate Windows into several entries but one for Linux and not to mention only the kernel and NOT the different distros?

natest ko last friday o saturday ang debian 8 at maganda siya...magaan sa system...medyo nanibago lang ako sa process nya pero mapag aaralan naman ito kapag ito na ang main os... :D
