sir mali po yung solution nyo sa last part!
[18+24]/6+15
[42]/21
2

Division muna bago Addition. PE - MD - AS

Left to Right solving method.

Mini Tutorial: Angles

Usapang Angles muna tayo:

Angles - also known as degrees, usually denoted by ° (the degree symbol), is a measurement of plane angle, representing 1⁄360 of a full rotation; one degree is equivalent to π/180 radians.

Take Note: Angles are formed by 2 rays with one common end point.

There are several types of angles.

Let's define some:

  1. Acute Angle: Angle who's measurement is less than 90 degrees.

    attachment.php

  2. Right Angle: Angle who's measurement is exactly 90 degrees.

    attachment.php

  3. Obtuse Angle: Angle who's measurement is greater than 90 degrees but less than 180 degrees.

    attachment.php

  4. Straight Angle: Angle who's measurement is exactly 180 degrees.

    attachment.php

  5. Reflex Angle: Angle who's measurement is greater than 180 degrees but less than 360 degrees.

    attachment.php

  6. Perigon or Round Angle: Angle who's measurement is exactly 360 degrees. One full rotation.

    attachment.php

Combination of Angles:

  1. Complimentary Angles: are 2 angles combined to form a right angle.

    Example:

    One angle is 32° and the other one is 58° -- 32° + 58° = 90°

Note: The angles don't have to be together.

    Here's another example:

    Angle ABC = 20° ; Angle CBD = 70° -- Complementary angles.

Why? They have common endpoint, common ray (ray BC), and the uncommon rays form 90°

    Another example:

    Angle ABC = 27° ; Angle DEF = 63° -- Still Complementary angles.

Why? Although they have no common endpoint and a common ray, the sum of the angles is 90°.

    attachment.php

  2. Supplementary Angles: are 2 angles combined to form a straight angle.

    Example:

    One angle is 105° and the other one is 75° -- 105° + 75° = 180°

Note: The angles don't have to be together.

    Here's another example:

    Angle ABC = 130° ; Angle CBD = 50° -- Supplementary angles.

Why? They have common endpoint, common ray (ray BC), and the uncommon rays form 180°

    Another example:

    Angle ABC = 60° ; Angle DEF = 120° -- Still Supplementary angles.

Why? Although they have no common endpoint and a common ray, the sum of the angles is 180°.

FAQs:

Question 1: Is there such a thing as zero degree?

The answer is YES. Why?

Here's the explanation:

Earlier, I stated that angles are formed by 2 rays, right?

In the zero degree angle condition, the term "degenerate angle" was formed.

Degenerate Angle composed only of 1 ray.

Question 2: How to convert a Degree(°) into Radians(π or PI)?

Let's say you want to convert 30° to Radians.

The formula would be:

N x ( π / 180 ) = radians ; wherein N is in degree

30° x ( π / 180 ) = ( π / 6) radians

Radians to Degree?

M x ( 180 / π ) = degrees ; wherein M is in radians [ ex. π, ( 3π / 4 ) , 2π ]

I will add some more questions kung sakaling may mga magtatanong pa sa inyo. :)

'Yang discussion ko about Angles (which is kulang pa) is just an introduction para sa Trigonometry. May biglaan kasing lakad kahapon kaya napipilitan akong iwan muna.

Ingat po tayo sa sms-type na messages. Welcome po sa thread!

,welcome back sir circuited soul,

Salamat!

Trigo. :)
Favoriiite ko yaaaan. :)
Will look forward Sir. :)

Sana after Trig e Calc naman. Hehe.

As I've said earlier, mini tutorial lang. More on refreshing our minds sa pag-so-solve ng basic trigonometric equations and problems. :)

Differential, Integral then the combination of the two. :)

Kakatapos lang magback read, kapagod magbasa haha!
>Hi mga math wizards!
>ma'am drea, sir romantic, sir soul, ma'am angel, sir raz, sir ikse, at sa iba pa, sori if di ko po namention, yan lang po kasi yung natandaan ko after magbackread,
>I'll help din po especially highschool math (I'm a math lover!), wala po kasi akong maiaambag sa college, hindi po kami naturuan ng maayos sa solid mens, diff and integ cal, as in wala talaga ako natutunan, hindi naman kasi makapag basa ng books kasi wala pambili, kaya papatutor po sana ako sa diff cal muna, kung pwede,
>and one more thing, napansin ko po hindi niu po ito nasagutan, nacucurious po ako sa sagot kaya sana masagot niyo... TIA

"a swimming pool is formed by the intersection of two circle whose radii are both 9m. Find the area of the swimming pool by integration."

tapos eto pa po.

"the points c1 and c2 are the centers of two equal circles. If the distance between the center is 3cm, find the shaded area by integration."

attach ko po yung figures.
salamats po.
yung area nga po pala nung shaded parts yung kinukuha.. thanks po. ;D

Next time qwert eh edit mo na lang 'yung first post mo kasi considered double posting na agad yan e(hm, more likely 2 consecutive posts eh bawal). Baka mapagalitan ka ng moderator.

May na-miss pa lang tanong. Hindi na kasi ako masyadong nagba-back read. Mukhang hindi na din naman niya kailangan. Too bad at hindi kami nakatulong. Busy kasi halos lahat e, lalo na sa work.

Nagvo-volunteer ka din bang maging tutor? If yes, maraming salamat sa iyo! :hat:

We are still looking for more possible tutors. Malapit na ang pasukan, and for sure, maraming mangangailangan ng tulong. :D

Kung meron kayong maire-refer, kindly PM him/her and ask kung pwede ba syang maging tutor dito sa ating thread. :)

Hintayin ko lang magsi-reply sila awadrea and the rest of the volunteered tutors. :)

I'm so sorry po...
Eng. course, incoming 3rd yr...

You don't have to say sorry to me.

Anyway, Marine Engineering ba yan?

Dapat talaga alam mo parehong naunang Calculus to survive to this subject. Hindi ko ma-assure na makakatulong ako sa ganyan, kasi more on memorizing ng techniques sa integration e. Differentiate muna then Integrate, or minsan naman Integrate then Differentiate.

Sir, grabe pala dapat kong pag aralan, diff and integ mag isa para masurvive ung diff eqn, post ako here if I need help :)
>uhm, pag pasukan malabo na talaga ako makahelp here, kasi I'm under a pr0gram wherein, we should focus on STUDIES only, that's why, our phones, money etc are confiscated, to make sure there were no hindrances on our study... Pero po sa ngayon, I can help sa mga nag aadvance study...
>Sir ikse, go dre!

Ganun ba. No offense pero ang boring naman nun. Focus studies? Walang social life? Haha! Joke lang! :peace:

Kung hindi man, at least we tried. :hat:

@ikse: O sige mag-post ka na!
