How to root your I9070(Gingerbread)

First, I'm NOT responsible for any damage you cause to your phone.
Be sure to follow the steps correctly.

Requirements:

1.Windows

2.Latest Samsung drivers installed.

3.ODIN pasword: shaan

Follow this simple step :

1. Download rootkernel.tar.md5 and GT-I9070-Kernel-CoCore.tar.md5.

2. Run program Odin3 v1.87.exe.

3. Then open Settings in your phone, go to Applications -> Development and check USB Debugging and Allow mock locations. Both needs to be Checked (Selected).

4. Turn off phone and turn it back on into Download mode, like this press Volume Down + Home button + Power button, wait until some "strange" screen appears, put in usb cable and choose continue.

5. Now wait until Odin recognize your phone.

6. Under PIT file browse for GT-I9070_EUR_XX_8G.pit.

7. Under PDA choose rootkernel.tar.md5.

8. Then check what options are checked (Selected), be sure to UNCHECK (remove selection) Re-Partition, Flash Lock, Phone EFS Clear, Phone Bootloader Update! Only Auto Reboot and F.Reset Time should be checked (Selected).

9. When this is set just press Start and wait for phone to reboot.

10. Now repeat steps from 4 to 9, with one exception at step 7 now choose GT-I9070-Kernel-CoCore.tar.md5.

11. Download and install Superuser or SuperSU aplication from market.

DONE!!!

PS: After all that use View attachment 147540 to reset binary counter (you increased it by flashing kernels with Odin).

How to root your I9070(Jellybean)

1. Download the root.zip and place it in the root of your sd card.
PS : SD Card is a must.
2. Reboot to the stock recovery.
3. Select install update from external storage.
4. Select the root.zip file.
5. Reboot.

Custom KERNEL & TWRP/CWM
Requirements:

1. Rooted phone(4.1.2).

2. Universal Kernel Flasher.

3. ES File Explorer or kahit na anong file manager basta nakakapagextract ng files.

Steps :

1. Install Universal Kernel flash and ES file explorer.

2. Download CoCore-EP-8.2-TWRP.zip, unzip it and put it in SD.

3. Open Universal Kernel Flash and install kernel.bin.md5 with it.

How to Upgrade Gingerbread to Jellybean

Requirements:

1.Windows

2.Latest Samsung drivers installed.

3.ODIN pasword: shaan

4. JellyBean Firmware

Steps:

1. Download Odin and extract it into a folder.

2. Download Stock Jellybean Firmware and extract it into a separate folder, you will get a .tar.md5 file.

3. Make sure you have Kies installed, but not running.

4. Turn your phone off, and boot into Download mode, this can be done by holding the Vol.Down+Home+Power buttons together at the same time, till it boots.

5. Press Volume up to continue. Plug in your phone (make sure it's at least 60% charged) . Wait till Odin recognizes (It should say something like COM:PORT... to the left).

6. Click on PDA and choose the firmware (.tar.md5) that you extracted in step 2. Click start.

7. When your phone boots into JB, and Odin says "PASS". Unplug.

DONE!!!

NOTE: There is a chance that you will get a bootloop,your phone isn't broken! Simply reboot to stock recovery by powering off, then pressing Vol.Up+Home+Power buttons together and wipe data/factory reset. It'll boot nicely

Sir nag-try ako mag-root ng i9070 GB. Nagawa ko naman lahat ng steps pero sa Root Check "This device does not have proper root access". Although sa CPU-Z, naka-"Yes" naman yung root access. I downloaded the SuperSU pero failed lage yung update for SU binary. So ang problem, di pa din ako rooted
First time ko lang kasi magroot using Odin

install mo muna yung Superuser para makapagupdate ka ng binary then after mo magupdate ng binary try mo iDL ung superSU tapos kapag updated na ung superSu mo punta ka sa setting then tap mo ung install SuperSU into / system
