MISSING DATA SWITCH TUTORIAL:
For anyone who flashed a custom rom or migrated to a new one thru odin or via zip flash method,and you notice the Data Switch is missing. This one is for you.
If you are living in India or any other country, this won't work for you.
For Philippines Samsung Galaxy Y (5360) users ONLY.
What you need:
1. A rooted phone, sorry for those who don't have the guts to unroot.
2. Root Explorer. Just look around if you find an APK or installer for this app.
3. Unarchiver app (Androzip, look at the market) *optional
4. CSC XTC Files. See Attachment.
5. Common Sense (very important)
Steps to follow: (its crucial to follow these steps correctly)
Step 1.
Copy the attached zip file (
DataSwitchEnabler.zip) to the root of your sdcard.
Step 2.
Open Root Explorer. Extract the zip file (long press for the menu to come up).
Step 3.
After the extraction, go to the
"extracted" folder (also in sdcard root area).
Copy all files and folders and go to the base root of your phone. Locate
"System" folder. Paste or Move the extracted files.
Step 4.
Now, this the most important part: Setting Permissions.
a. Press
"Mount R/W"
b. Locate these following files inside "System" and "csc" folder:

Inside "csc" folder:
contents.db
feature.xml
others.xml
customer.xml
isnew_csc.txt
sales_code.dat
Step 5. Set permission as
rw-r--r-- (long press for the menu to come up)

Step 6. Reboot your phone.
