ganda ng details neto sir. kitlens lng dn ba to sir?
would you also recommend starting muna sa Aperture prio while doing street, landscape and portraits? then move to manual once na kuha na talaga yung basics and concept?
thanks!

Salamat po :) Both are kit lens lang po .. 1st photo is aperture prio tpos 2nd photo is manual
As for your question, honestly, opinion lang masasabi ko kasi hindi pa ako totally familiar in using dslr at di naman ako expert about dyan hehehe
Paningin ko lang naman kasi ang basehan ko when i took photos like for example, when i use aperture tapos di ko nagustuhan ang output.. switch agad ako sa manual and vice versa tapos adjust2x hanggang okay na sa paningin ko hehehe . For me is depende sa amount of light sa paligid at kung anong subject, so maybe sa street dapat mabilis na shutter speed IF candid yung photo kasi mobile ang mga subject and we'll never know kung kelan sila gagalaw

my take is, use either aperture priority(if you wan isolation or bokeh) or shutter speed priority(if you want to freeze the moment or gusto mo medyo kita yung galaw), depende sa pangangailangan mo, then set auto iso kung meron yung cam mo(pramis malaking tulong ito).

nowadays, tamad na ako so mostly shutter speed priority pag kinukunan ko anak ko at mostly aperture priority pag good light.

ang turo sa akin kasi ng isang master ko dati sa old group ko is, make use of exposure meter.
meter towards right = underexposure
meter towards left= overexposure

so kung mag-aadjust ka ng settings, make sure nasa (halos)gitna lang yung exposure.that way, (almost)tama na exposure mo. konti na lang adjustment mo sa post.
hth.^_^

Salamat sa pagsagot sir .. yan po ba yung histogram?

the result of that "meter" will be reflected sa histogram mo.

now, ang result sa histogram or your image in general will vary greatly kung spot/center-weighted/matrix ang metering mode mo.

read up and learn on:

1. exposure triangle
2. effect ng metering mode

Imho, the best possible way to learn is to shoot in P mode. TANDAAN mo ang condition ng lighting during that shoot sa P mode, review mo pag uwi, and try to associate ang exposure triangle kung bakit ganun ang binigay na setting ng camera based on that environment.

one more practice is to shoot a SINGLE subject, MULTIPLE TIMES, using different settings at different ANGLES,

:thanks: for your shared knowledge sir
If i have time , I'll read and look for articles regarding dun sa exposure and metering mode :)
Please tell us more sir kung ano ang mga important points to consider in photography :more:

Thank you for the inputs mga master. Will definitely take note po.
Will try to upload some photos soon para mkapag ask feedback and suggestions.
More great photos and learning to come po.

haha. hirap explain e. pero tulad ng sabi ni sir @praetorious, malaki epekto sa image.
parang tanda ko sa spot metering, kung saan focus point magbabase ng exposure.
if you have a cam with you sir try mo live view tas gawin mo spot metering, focus. then lipat mo ibang metering option.^_^

sa focus point kasi mas at home ako sa single since nakokontrol ko saan part yung pwede ng focus(halata ang epekto sa face shot sa mga wider apertures)

metering is applicable depende sa kung ano iso-shoot mo.

portraiture, mostly spot. group, center weighted. landscape, matrix.

if may makita akong tanong, and i can answer, i'll give it. not saying na im an expert, im your occasional weekend shooter, pag may chance.

let's just share our experiences and help each other nalang :-)

@ scan & praetorious

Thanks po for the effort of explaining and sharing bits of info in photography :salute:
Iba kasi yung learning if it comes from people who experience it kesa sa reading lang with tuts and articles :thanks:
