hi to all,
sa mga naka ICS jan with locked bootloader, gusto ko lang i share ang rooting method based on bin4ry (xda dev) method using latest flashtool (0.9.8).

this method worked on my xperia go (6.1.1.B.10). I hope it will work on yours too!

requirement: make sure you have ICS and backup & restore app in your phone!

1. download & install latest flashtool. dun sa link sa baba, click installation tab, then click the links available (uploaded.to o kaya rapidgator) depending on your OS.

2. set your phone to enable usb debugging (phone drivers must be installed). connect phone to pc.
3. on flashtool, go to tools->root->force adb restore hack.
4. select either superuser or supersu
5. flashtool will instruct your phone to restore rootme in backup & restore app. click restore in your phone.
6. wait for phone to reboot.

ang Xperia SL ay variant ng Xperia S with higher cpu speed at ICS agad ang firmware.
subukan mo po sundan ang procedure dito to root...

hindi ako yung TS pero meron ka bang reference about sa problem na binanggit mo?
about PC companion, hindi tlaga ginagamit yun pang-root. pang-update at backup lang usually ng mga sony phones yun. also, kelangan mo maghintay ng official "roll-out" ng sony per country/region bago makapag-update.
pwede mo rin gamitin fastboot para makapagroot

Sir Pahelp naman Xperia Sola ICS na ako kaso need kong iroot ang problema e sa ICS drivers na pc companion... walang drivers e sabi din sa flashtool e error no drivers nainstall ko na kaso error pa din ICS drivers nang sola need ko help naman salamat

ganito din po error sakin :'(
nagrerestart cp ko tapos hindi padin sya rooted...

May issue kasi ako sa Xperia Z3+ Dual After ko ma reformat nalagabas ung My Xperia Protection, then nilalagay ko ung gmail lagi nmn incorrect daw.
Then ni ttry ko sya I root or flash ayaw kasi ung debugging daw hindi nka on.

pag flash dimo kelangan sir naka-debugging mode.
para maenable mo debuggin mode, punta ka sa Settings->About Phone tapos pinduting mo ng 5x yung buil number.. back ka makikita mo option ng Developer Options. sa loob nun andun usb debugging

Hindi ko kasi magamit ung User Account kasi nalabas ung protection.
