Answer:

1.) Some had tried updating their SGM using KIES, however dito sa thread nato, 9/10 dito used Odin 4.38 to upgrade SGM to GB. pero pwede mo naman i-try na magupgrade gamit KIES pero mas madali sa ODIN if you do it right since you do not need internet connection.

2.) Please try to read the first post regarding rooting. It is not an upgrade.

3.) You cannot use custom roms as upgrade using KIES. Custom Roms are not official releases made by samsung. You must use ODIN 4.38 for flashing. Again please read the first post para magkaidea ka.

thanks! actually naka GB ako using odin... and im using custom rom right now...and ang tanong ko poh kung naka GB ang SGM ko thru kies pede din ba iflash ung custom rom sa SGM na may official GB using ung method na nakapost sa first page? and pede din ba iroot ang SGM na my official GB with the method nakapost sa 1st page? sorry about my earlier post binasa ko ngayon and mejo misleading yung question ko.. sana ngayon hindi na.. im just wondering about the official GB kaya ako nagtatanong...

Updated my phone thru Kies. Gingerbread Official release 2.3.4.
Kagabi ko lang nakita, around 2-3am. Nag-upgrade ako, ang kapalit, na-late ako sa trabaho.

Ano naman, isang late lang naman
Ang mahalaga official release Gb ko from Samsung.

Puwede din ba lagyan ng flash player 10, para mkapanood ng video sa browser?

Ah gnun po ba yun..sbu nila s gb mwawala ung battery bug..pero masaya n aq sa froyo..hehe..gagawan q nalng ng ext2 ung bibilin qng mmc..hehe..d kc kya ng 2gig lng dami q games wla n aq mp3 song no space ahaha

at first, curiosity kung bakit ko inaupdate yong fw ko. now, so far the best thing ive done in my fone is OC with ram booster.max 800mhz down as 245mhz.

sino naka CynogenMOD 7(tj_style) dito? patulong naman ako eversince nagflash ako ng CM7 hindi na ako makapaginternet using packet data... ganun ba talaga pag CM7 hindi na pde mag internet except wifi gagamitin? need help badly.. baka naman pede poh patulong naman...

anu ba maganda rom gamitin ung pde mag internet?

gudafternoon. Question lang mga sir mam, diba may official update firmware na sa galaxy mini tru kies. nag update kase ako tapos lagi na lang operation has time out lagi. ano ba dapat kong gawin? ipa update ko na lang ba sa samsung service centre sa MOA? pra mas madali?. tenx po sa sasagot sa question ko. senya na newbie lang

How to root (Gingerbread)
1. Download the file upd_1.zip (attached) and save it on the root of your SD card (DO NOT unzip it)
2. Go into recovery mode. Press and hold Home + Power buttons. Release buttons when you see the Samsung logo
3. Once you are in recovery mode you will get lot of options on screen. In recovery mode touchscreen does not work, so use the volume up/down buttons to toggle through options. To confirm options press the middle button
4. Go to the second option i.e apply update from SD card
5. Upon selecting the second option you will need to select the file upd_1.zip. Press the middle button to apply changes
6. It takes 2-3 seconds to install the update
7. Once the above step is complete, select the reboot option

Gingerbread na pala e. Edi eto na sundin mo sir.
