SERVICE PROCEDURE

Wash Process

Upon drive-in, attendant wets the car and loosens the dirt before the application of detergents. Deep-cleaning foam is created when car shampoo, water, and air is mixed and goes through the power sprayer. The car body is scrubbed using soft cloths or a sponge, making sure there is no particles caught up in them that could scratch the car.

Tire black is applied to remove brake dust and brighten the black rubber of tire. For pre-rinsing, pressure washer is used. It is a system of rotating water jets that spray concentrated streams of water on the car. The strength of the stream and the circular motion combine to provide a powerful scrubbing action. The car goes through a final rinse by using hose and water to remove whatever residue is left.

Dry Process

Wiping the whole body using the chamois to absorb water or moisture. After wiping, apply car wax to polish and protect from dust.

As an added service, attendant may clean the interior, removing trash and vacuuming carpets and seats.

Here are some tips on how to give a satisfying service:
(From mr. Google)

SCRATCHES

Car scratches are more than annoying. They mar the finish of your car’s paint and make it less valuable. There are some cheap ways to eliminate car scratches that are more effective than a new paint job.

1 - Touch-Up Paint

The very careful application of touch-up paint can make car scratches look like new. You need to use a very fine brush and make sure the area is completely cleaned first. After that, take an extremely fine brush and paint along the scratch. Your color needs to be an exact match for the paintwork on your car. Wipe away any excess paint from outside the scratch and then leave to dry.
After it’s dried decide if you need to add an extra coat of paint or whether you just need to wax. If you add a second coat of touch-up paint to the car scratches, wax them once dry.

2 - Polish

Polish is mildly abrasive so you can use it to eliminate car scratches by gently taking off some of the paint. Put the polish on a cloth and wipe over the scratch. Rub the surrounding area, too, so the paint matches. Wipe the polish off and the car scratches should be invisible. Protect the areas by applying wax.

Type of Scratch

Car polish will work on a scratch below the surface of the paint. It’s important to understand that car polish is very mildly abrasive. You can use a fingertip test to see if the scratch is below the surface; if the surface feels smooth, the scratch is below.
Applying Polish

Put some polish on a cloth and wipe in a circular motion. Make sure you use plenty of polish around rub around the scratch. This will help the paint blend in properly as you rub out the scratch.
Use your hand rather than an electric polisher. This way you can remove just the amount of paint you need to take out the car polish scratch and leave the paint looking even. Work in small sections. With careful work you can make most scratches appear invisible. You need to be careful not to rub too hard or to use polish too often as it’s easy to go down to the undercoat.
Finishing

After you’ve eliminated the scratch it’s important that you protect the paintwork on your car. Do this by applying wax over the top of the polish. This will give depth to the shine and add a layer of protection, not only from the weather, but also from light touches by sharp objects.

10 Steps to Car Rust Proofing

Buying a car involves a major expenditure, so car rust proofing becomes essential if you want to protect your investment. Every scratch depreciates your car's value, let alone an ugly patch of rust. It is only natural that metal corrodes and rusts over time, especially if it is continually exposed to humidity. Apart from looking ugly and depreciating your car's value, rust may also damage your car and make it unsafe. It is therefore vital to rust proof your car periodically to avoid all these possibilities.

Tools and Materials Needed:

Touch up paint
Paint brushes
Wire brushes
Rust proofing fluid
Compressor
Protective goggles
Mask

Step 1 - Check for Scrapes
Check your car regularly for any scrapes or nicks. These scrapes are an inevitable consequence of daily use of your vehicle. It is important to spot any such nicks or scrapes early on since rust usually starts to form in the little places where the paint has been worn off.

Step 2 - Remove the Rust
Put on the mask and the protective goggles, and clean off the rust by a using a medium-grit sandpaper. If there are small areas which are out of reach, wrap the sandpaper around a screwdriver and use it to remove the rust.
Step 3 - Clean the Surface
Once the rust is removed, clean the surface. Apply mineral spirits on a damp rag and use it to remove any oil or grease.
Step 4 - Paint the Surface
Paint the now rust-free spots with touch-up paint. You can match the paint to your car's original by a computer match, or else by getting a paint technician to analyze a paint sample.
Step 5 - Check the Car Regularly
Make sure you check your car periodically for any nicks and scrapes, paying particular attention to the wheel wells and the undercarriage.
For an alternative rust proofing procedure, you may follow the steps below:
Step 6 - Rent the Equipment
Rent a spray gun and a compressor. Using these tools you will be able to deal with any part of your car, even the nooks and crannies which would otherwise be difficult to get at.
Step 7 - Clean the Car
It is important to make sure your car is clean before applying the rust proofing fluid. Use a wire brush on particularly difficult road grime, and pay special attention to the wheel wells and the undercarriage.
Step 8 - Apply the Rust Proofing Fluid
When applying the fluid, take care to reach all the relevant areas: the front and back doors, the hood and the trunk, the undercarriage and the wheel wells.
Step 9 - Avoid Plastic and Lights
The fluid will damage plastic if you're not careful. Wipe off any fluid which gets on the plastic immediately. Moreover, the fluid is also highly flammable since it contains solvent vapors. Make sure you keep it away from any sources of heat or ignition.
Step 10 - Wipe Off the Excess
Once you apply the fluid on all the necessary areas, wipe off any excess and you're done.
Rust proofing may well extend your car's life, as well as keep its value from plummeting down. Follow these steps to make sure you keep your car in shape and avoid further damage.
