Re: Sony Xperia S (Nozomi, Arc HD, LT26i) Official Thread [ICS 07/27/12]

Mag roroot kasi automatically yang phone mo after flashing the kernel.

Re: Sony Xperia S (Nozomi, Arc HD, LT26i) Official Thread [ICS 06/25/12]

How to root Xperia S(the manual way) for noobs like me.

requirements:
- unlocked bootloader (read first post of the thread)
- Fastboot folder http://j.mp/xps_fastboot_pkg
- CWM-SuperSU-v0.92.zip http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1596285
- kernel.rar http://forum.xda-developers.com/attachment.php?attachmentid=1145853&d=1340304583
- recovery-nozomi.img http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1596285

Steps:
- Copy first CWM-SuperSU-v0.92.zip from your computer to your phone.

- Place the Fastboot folder in your computer. Kahit saan pwede.
- Extract kernel.rar and place it in the Fastboot folder.
- Place the recovery-nozomi.img in the Fastboot folder too.

- Unplug the phone from the usb port(assuming naka coonect yung phone mo dahil ni-copy mo yung zip file). turn off the phone, hold volume up while plugging it again to the use port.

- In the Fastboot folder, hold SHIFT key then right click. Choose "Open a command window here".

- Type fastboot flash boot recovery-nozomi.img you will have somthing like this:

- Unplug again your phone, boot your phone to access recovery mode.

- Once you see a menu, using the vol keys, up and down, select install zip from sdcard. Use the camera button to select,
then choose 'choose zip file from SD card'. You will see the CWM-SuperSU-v0.92.zip that we copied earlier, select it.

- Once you've selected it, it will show a little list of no's and a yes, choose yes with the option to install. It will prompt you once the installation is complete.

- Turn off your phone, hold POWER + VOLUME UP. make sure that there are three consecutive vibration to confirm that it is already off.

- Wait for a few seconds, then connect again your phone to the USB port while holding the VOLUME UP button.

- Go back to the command prompt, this time type in fastboot flash boot kernel.sin, You will have something like this:

That's it! Your phone is now rooted! :salute:

Credits go to boss Themonyo and XDA forums for all the links. Add mo na lang to boss Themonyo sa first page or kahit yung link na lang sa page na to para mabasa rin ng iba. :salute:

Try this one. Punta ka po sa device manager, then plug your phone to the computer. Wait mo mag appear yung device na kinabit mo then double click and install drivers, after that unplug and plug ulet yung phone mo sa computer. Hope it helps.

meron na nga update as promise by sony sakto june pumasok ang udpate sa pc companion.

so far ang napansin ko lang is yung messaging, hindi nawawala yung notification sa message icon kahit nabasa mo na yung message.

Kailangan mo i-restart ang phone or delete the whole conversation para mawala yung notification.

Guys, meron ng recovery for locked and Unlock Bootloader!

eto link: http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2308493&page=3

Just follow the instructions literally.

Additional info: Make sure you check your phone while running the bat file kasi manghihingi yung Super User ng permission to grant access for ADB. :salute:

Re: Sony Xperia S (Nozomi, Arc HD, LT26i) Official Thread [ICS 07/27/12]

Re: Sony Xperia S (Nozomi, Arc HD, LT26i) Official Thread [ICS 07/27/12]

same as camera.

THanks a lot!:salute:

Re: Sony Xperia S (Nozomi, Arc HD, LT26i) Official Thread [ICS 07/27/12]

I havent tried the HDMI yet. pero check ko later pag uwi ko galing office. ang issue lang sakin so far is the video recording. parang mejo mabagal yung camera kapag mino-move ko ng mabilis yung phone ko, parang may konting delay?

Re: Sony Xperia S (Nozomi, Arc HD, LT26i) Official Thread [ICS 07/27/12]

tested HDMI. I tried playing HD movies on my Sony EX330 LED TV. Try resetting your phone baka umayos po :salute:

Ganito po ginawa ko. i check my build version which is 6.1.A.2.45 what i did is i flash my XS to .6.1.A.2.55 (back-up niyo muna before flashing) then i plug my phone sa PC companion wait for a few minutes "a phone /tablet software is available" - eto yung 6.2.A.0.200

Note para ma-flash niyo from .55 download niyo yung generic build from XDA.

Re: Sony Xperia S (Nozomi, Arc HD, LT26i) Official Thread [ICS 07/27/12]

I'm back :yipee:

di pa ako nagfa-flash ng bagong firmware. tamang tama naman at nakita ko na may lalabas na namang bago para sa Xperia S natin to fix most of the bugs and issues

New Jelly Bean firmware certified for Xperia S [6.2.B.0.211]

Sony Mobile will soon rollout new Android 4.1.2 Jelly Bean firmware to Xperia S (LT26i) owners. Firmware version 6.2.B.0.211 was certified earlier today by the PTCRB and will mainly bring bug fixes over the previous version 6.2.B.0.200. Sony has confirmed that the update will land during week 23-24.

Thanks to all that sent this in!

:noidea:
