Switch your Internal SD to your External SD [XSola]

[SDfy v1.0] for rooted XPERIA SOLA (Stock ICS)

Run this batch file to swap SD card (ext_card - Real SD card) and Internal memory (sdcard - Internal 4 GB SD card) storage locations.

Why I made this?

I have lots of data (maps, games and apps) on my 32 GB SD card which will not fit on the internal SD card. Using my real SD card is essential for me so that I can make real use of my phone.

Installing prerequisites

1. Install 'adb' using instructions from here. You only need to install 'adb' and not the whole Android SDK if you are not an Android developer. Follow the steps in installing ADB until creating path variable.

1.a - Assuming that you have installed as well your own USB drivers, Download PC Companion for this.​

If you have successfully installed your driver it should look like the picture above. And it should give you the results below in cmd (check the picture for the command)

2. If you are sure you have proper root access then check if a latest version of busybox (now v1.20) is installed.

Install Busybox using Busybox Installer by JRummy Apps.

3. If you face any errors with 'choice' command on your Windows machine please download it from here. Place this file in '\Windows\System32' folder.

How to use this?

I assume you have already set 'adb' in path and rooted the phone using Bin4ry's script.

1. Download the attached file
2. Extract the zip file.
3. Click on SDfy.bat script
4. Move apps if you need to move existing apps to the new location (Real SD card).

With MTP set as transfer mode you will be able to use both storage locations from PC.


What are the limitations?

- No known limitations as of now

Hindi ko pa na try sir, pero pwede po subukan nyo tapos feedback na lang kung hindi gumana

Initially yun ang ginawa ko kaso for some reason ayaw gumana sakin, pero thanks for mentioning it sir.

Hindi naman po, pinalitan mo lang naman yung naka mount na internal sd sa external sd, saka pwede mo din naman po sya ibalik sa dati. void lang po nag nag unlock ka ng bootloader mo during root. meron na po ngayon root na no need to unlock bootloader

Hindi ko lang sure sa LG sir, pero nung tiningnan ko kasi yung script, change mo yung mount number nya, di ko pa mabigay sayo ngayon yung values kaso nasa work ako pero mamaya tingnan ko kung gusto mo mag manual change.

Bali swap lang sir, kung meron ka internal memory ng 1gb swap mo sa SD mo na 32gb, yung 1gb mo ang magiging external SD. Pero iba pa yung phone memory sa internal memory baka po malito kayo.

Internal memory meaning acts like an SD pero hindi removable. Kaya sya napag swap dahil dun, kasi technically SD pa rin sya.

Ang pinaka maganda dyan is post mo po yung vold.fstab ng phone mo dito para matingnan ko.
