UPDATE!!!! May Backup na ako ng Stock Rom ng 8.31z!!! XDD kaya dun sa mga naghahanap jan, wait lang kasi Medyo malaki yung file at hindi kakayanin ng broadband ko xD try ko i-upload maya or bukas

Things needed:
Internet Connection, SRS One Click Root, Computer, USB cable.
Download SRS One CLick Root here: http://www.srsroot.com/
then install it.
Step1: Check if the "developer options" activated in your O+ 8.31z phone.
- go to settings-->system tab. By default, nakalagay na dun ang:
1. Date and Time
2. Scheduled power on and off.
3. Accessibility
4. About phone
- kung activated na ung developer option, makikita mo na sya kasama nung apat sa taas.
- ito naman ang gagawin kung wala pa (credits to ricose) :
1. Open "About Phone"
2. Long tap "Build Number" 7 times. then ok na.
Step2: Turn on the developer options then activate the "USB debugging" on the Debugging tab AND
enable "Unknown sources" option sa Settings->Personal->Security->Device administration.
Step3: Connect your phone to computer via USB cable.
- Note: dapat may lalabas na "USB debugging connected" sa notification mo or may jellybean icon na lalabas sa
upperleft ng phone mo.
Step4: Run "SRSRoot" in your computer. Make sure you have internet connection before you proceed to this step.
Step5: Click "Root Device (SmartRoot)".
- Note: May "Root Device (AllMethods)" rin na nakalagay dun. pero hindi ko ginamit yun. try nyo if you want.
- Dapat nakaunlock yung phone mo when you start doing it hanggang sa matapos.
Step6: Just wait and READ THE PROGRESS on the program. Una e identification lang muna nung device ung gagawin niya
but it will start the Rooting process afterwards.
Step7: Papapiliin ka ng program na ii-install whether SUPERUSER or SUPERSU. SUPERSU yung gumana sakin.
Step8: Wait 'till it's finished, mag rereboot na yung phone mo.
After the steps, your phone should be rooted.
Yung O+ 8.31z ko nagagamitan ko na ng BusyBox, ROEHSOFT Ram Expander, Root Browser, and AUTOPROXY, apps that need root access.
UPDATE: (2/22/14)
"Invalid IMEI"
Dun sa may issues regarding sa invalid na IMEI after flashing new ROM here's the tutorial on how to restore it.
Files Needed: MTKDroidTools v251.exe, MT65xx VCOM drivers
Notes: Know your IMEIs first! check it at the back of your phone.
Steps:
1.Enable the Debugging Mode (but first, enable developer's mode) on your phone.
2.Extract MtkDroidTools_v251.exe
3.Connect your phone to your computer via USB cable.
4.Dun sa extracted folder, search for MTKdroidTools.exe then execute it.
5.Your phone should be detected by the program upon opening it.
6.May instance na may nakalagay sa status bar ng program na kinakailangan mo munang i-root ung phone by clicking the ROOT button there. Just do it. Tingin din sa phone for some toast notification.
7.Then makikita niyo sa Phone Information Tab ng program na "null" ung value ng IMEI. click niu ung IMEI/NVRAM.
8.Input niu ung IMEIs niu sa IMEI1 and IMEI2. then click replace IMEI.
9.After that, under the main tab, on the lower right side of the program, click "reboot".
Now you should have restored your IMEIs.
