ISP > globe modem > pfSense > switch > clients PCs


My pfSense specs:

CPU - Pentium4 3.0Ghz
Board - Old Gigabyte socket775
RAM - 4Gig DDR2 (2x2G)
HDD - Seagate 160G SATA
NIC - 2 Intel Pro/100+

Sir patulong, naclear ko kasi ung cache ng squid ko, then after ko ireboot, kpg inaaccess ko na ang web gui ng pfsense ko, "404 - Not Found" and lumalabas, please help mga sir,

TS may tanong lang ako nag try ako mag install ng pfsense in vmware workstation 12 tapos OS ko is Windows 7 Ultimate 64 bit nakaconfigure na lahat kaso pag nilagay ko ung cable galing sa ISP to onboard NIC magkakaroon ng internet yung windows 7 kaso nga lang ung isang NIC eh hindi naman nagbibigay ng DHCP sa ibang client tapos vice versa ginawa ko is ung ISP nilagay ko sa may pci lan card tapos ung cable na galing sa switch nilagay ko sa may onboard NIC kaso lang walang net tapos ang nangyari ung ibang client eh nagkaroon n ng DCHP yung lang walang net tapos paano po kaya ung may pfsense tapos may wifi router thanks

Boss pano setup na Connected ko sa WIFI pero limited ang status ng internet...makakaaccess ka lng ng internet f maka login ka ng voucher para ma filter ang android apps.. thanks!

NEXT guide po ay HOW TO SET UP CAPTIVE PORTAL ... gumamit po ako ng WindowsServer Active Directory dito... bago magkarun ng internet connection, need muna nila mag log sa portal using their AD credentials.... so basically mag rereflect sa GUI logs ang username nila and IP.. plus tandem ng SQUID+SQUIDGUARD = no escape.. :) i mean pag nag open sila ng badsites like Pornsites, huli na agad if sino, anong station, anong oras at anong sites ang inopen :) .. abangan nyo po if interested kayo :)

pwede nyo po install sa virtual box lang muna para ma try and test ninyo... :)

sa virtual pfsense nyo po... dalawang NIC dapat ang i-enable... set NIC1 to Bridge.. set NIC2 to Internal Network...

sa virtual windows/linux pc nyo po... isang NIC lang, then set the network to Internal Network...

(ganyan po ang network seetings ko, try nyo lang din :) )

bossing salamat sa guide.na try kuna ung guide mo don sa youtube kong paano mag block ng fb.pero di parin gagana ung sakin.bagohan palang ako nag install ng fpsense pero ung squidguard blocking walang blema na block na mga p**n.pero si facebook hindi parin na block.na input ko na lahat nga ip sa facebook.pero ganun parin naka pasok parin ako..

ahh hirap pala e block si youtube boss. pero pwedi rin sya e block gamit ang open dns tama ba? gusto ko sana palitan ung firewall namin dito sa office para wala ng renewal kong gagana to sa fb.at youtube.

If gusto mo iblock ung mga naka https na sites need mo ienable ung ssl man in the middle ni squidguard, pero di ko alam ang setup mo so I'll assume na simple lang setup mo

Internet < Pfsense < Switches < Clients

and for local computer shop ang setup mo

Once ineable mo ung SSL proxy para sa clients, make sure na naka accept na ung SSL certificate ni pfsense sa lahat ng browser ng client, though lalabas lahat ng https sites is unsecured...

expect a lot of problems, the alternative way is to use OpenDNS and block from OpenDNS instead tapos follow mo na lang ung tutorial pano mafoforce iuse ung DNS mo instead of sarili nilang DNS.

tnx boss.na try ko enable ssl proxy.lahat ng website patay. pero ngayo na block ko na ung fb.ung youtube nalang. sa blocklist cat. ung p**n.meron parin ibang pornsite na hindi ma block hehe.kailangan ko muna guro tong pag aralan para makuha ko ung gusto kong mangyari. salamat sa referecne link na binigay mo..

Na try mo na ba ung pfsense + open dns combination dre sa pag block ng https?

Working din ako sa pag block ng https eh.

na try ko na boss pero ayaw parin ma block.susubokan ko ulit pag di na ako busy.boss tanong lang sa open dns pwedi rin na my e allow tayo na ip na sya lang pwedi maka open ng youtube? parang sa facebook pwedi tayo gumawa ng ip na syang pwedi maka open?

tsaka pg naglimit ako ng tcp/udp sa lan rules gumagana sya... pero pg naglagay na ko ng ports like 21, 443 at 554... di nmn nalilimit... gusto ko sna by ports para malimit lng download at streaming... tnx
