This tutorial is all about rooting our precious Huawei Ascend Y210.
I compiled all files from various chinese forums. So all all credit goes to them.
You must also take precaution that by rooting your phone means that it will also void your warranty.
I'll repeat, It will VOID your warranty.
If you still wish to proceed bear in mind that I will not be held responsible to whatever may happen to your phone.
There's a chance that you will BRICK your phone. So don't blame me.
But if you follow the procedures diligently. You'll be able to root your phone with 100% success rate
Here are the steps:
1. We will flash firmware to our phone from Chinese unicom http://www.huaweidevice.com/cn/downloadCenter.do?method=toDownloadFile&flay=software&softid=NDIyMTc=.
This firmware is for Dual sim version of our phone but it works fine.
You will just disregard the annoying 2nd sim without signal.
Also take note that this is the only existing firmware (to date) for our phone.
There is no other way to backup our current firmware. So proceed with caution.
After downloading, you will need to put the DLOAD folder into the root of your SD Card.
To reflash, untick first your Fast boot then turn off your phone.
Take off the battery for 5 seconds.
Put it back then proceed to download mode by pressing all at the same time VOLUME UP, VOLUME DOWN and POWER BUTTON until it says Firmware update unpacking.
Wait for it to finish. It will take atleast 3-5 mins to boot. You just wait.
2. Download this boot image file http://www.mediafire.com/download.php?nfeb6177ljapa1q.
First things first you need to install your phone's driver, download it here: http://www.mediafire.com/download.php?s7pz9u6vo8w0g11.
After installing your phone's driver, make sure to check debugging mode then plug in your phone using your USB cable.
Wait untill all the drivers are installed.
Going back to boot image installer, double click on it (Run as admin in Win7) and wait until it says OK.
The phone will automatically reboot. If not, reboot it manually by pulling out the battery and place it back.
You will notice that you will a WIFI error. Don't worry we will fix it later.
3. Download this Root tool here http://www.mediafire.com/download.php?toa2hpy01xhltuk.
Install it in your PC/laptop. After install, run the application then connect your phone.
Click ROOT and wait until it says successful.
The phone will reboot automatically.
If not pull out the battery and turn it on manually.
Check if you see a SuperUser installed in your phone.
4. Now to fix your WIFI. Download here http://www.mediafire.com/download.php?tcds4x5msovohoh.
Run the application and plug in your phone. Wait until finish.
Your phone will reboot automatically. If not do it manually.
Check if your wifi is now working.
It should work by now
Another Word of Caution!!
Since this is using a Chinese Unicom Firmware, Google Play, Google Search, Google Maps and other Google Apps is not available.
We simply cannot install gapps from Recovery Mode as there is still no available CWM for our handset.
I will update this thread how to add those things... Until then

kelangan ba muna un iextract o isasave ko na lang agad sa sd card ko?
